We booked a night through booking.com, we then received a pdf basically explaining costs ect. One being the hot tub which was supposed to be included in the price. Within minutes we had an email apologising saying sorry but it's £40 an hour and needs booking. I explained it says in the booking we had there was no charge and included. Reassured we were told they would try to sort something once we arrived...this was on the Wednesday on the Thursday I had a email saying they have over booked money back sorry we've cancelled! As you can imagine we were absolutely floored...bank Holiday weekend and stuck! Thankfully penhallow house squeezed us in..
We stayed in the Danish Cabin at Kudhva and loved it. The cabin design is brilliant, nestled in the woods. The staff were delightful and created a truly restful environment. Highly recommended
I had an incredible stay at Kudhva in Tipi 4 an experience I won’t forget. The location is absolutely magical, tucked away in nature with breathtaking views and a real sense of peace and seclusion. Tipi 4 was beautifully set up: cozy, clean, and perfectly positioned to catch the morning light. The facilities on-site were well thought out and added to the off-grid charm, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. Kudhva has nailed the balance between adventure and comfort
I’ll definitely be coming back.
Tents are very old, full of spiders, webs and mould. Couldn't sleep all night as it was too smelly and humid. We were left without hot showers and power on Sunday morning, waited for half a day for someone to come and fix it. Very disappointed, definitely avoid
We stayed at Kudhva for 3 nights in K1 which was quite 'interesting' - the place has so much potential but it appeared to be run down really - our Kudhva wasn't cleaned properly before we moved in, dirt and dead insects everywhere, the zip on the cushion was broken etc. The 'communal' area was pretty questionable, considering we were not allowed to mix inside with other people, based on the government advice at that time, but that did not bother the owners and everyone was mixing together with no other guests and people running the place. The showers were also communal but noone was bothered to clean/sanitise them after people have used them, same goes for the main living area. Since there is a rubbish internet reception, we ended up paying for some services twice and since then tried to contact Louise Middleton who is running the place to get the money back but no response, hence well deserved 1 star review.
