feel like thay are doing the customer a favour...if they feel like it

Having called the day before and arranged to come in the next day I called before leaving just to be sure. Sure enough, the person in charge has changed her mind and has locked up the safe in the morning because of the "long weekend". There's a holiday on Tuesday but none on Monday. "Come back Wednesday" is the response. I guess they feel they are doing the customer a favour and we should all be grateful for whatever we can get. In the meantime I found a place online in my city that will deliver bars of silver free at the spot price. Don't have to carry satchel full of cash around town either. Happy days!
