This was a great upgrade from my venerable 7 year old Kobo. I've been waiting for an excuse to upgrade, and the old one starting to finally die after thousands of hours of reading was it. The interface is snappy and while the old one would sometimes choke on some books, so far I've had no problem.
I think the kobo product builds are superior to kindle
I’ve been using the kobo Clara color for about 2 weeks and love it! Can’t put it down. The screen is beautiful, my books were easy to put on to the kobo, and there are so many great features
Was a little expensive but worth it.
It is really beautiful, the white colour helps to read easier the Pages, it has a lot of space for all my books. I use it everywhere.
There are pauses where the kobo got stuck. I had to press the shutdown many times.
The product is really amazing, the colour part actually doesn’t help a lot as the pages are anyways black and white. But if you are someone who needs to see that coloured cover photo of the book, then go for it, however, the colours are not that vibrant as you will expect but good enough. Honestly, the kobo clara is the best fit than colour. But it doesn’t hurt to get the colour if you are into comic books and magazines. Overall, a great product!!
Battery drains overnight, freezes randomly, loses my place in books when I open it back up, just not a functional device
The Clara is much easier to hold with the same reading experience.
Love my kobo Clara color! And love supporting a smaller company!
Great reader, use it every day.
I love the Kobo e-reader. I especially love the fact that it's relatively open and you can load community software like KOReader on it so easily. So much better than the more locked-down devices. The battery life and reading experience are both very good. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there's a very annoying and apparently long-standing bug where sometimes a press to turn the page doesn't register, and then pressing again makes it turn two pages. Rakuten, please fix this!
Pros: The size is perfect. The screen is customizable to read in any light. The interface is easy to navigate. Cons: I'd really like to be able to rotate the screen 180 degrees. I'd also like a left handed case. Its a bit awkward for lefties.
Landscape viewing is not supported by this model so mildly disappointed
Disappointed that I can’t get ebooks on my new ereader using the hoopla app otherwise I love my ereader Especially the size of the reader, it is very convenient and comfortable to hold while reading. User friendly!! Also very very disappointed in the case I purchased. I thought I was getting a cover for my ereader to protect the screen when I put it in my purse. I paid $29.99 for a useless object.
Love my Kobo ereader! Great that I can adjust the font size, brightness, natural light, see percentage of book read, chapter read, & page count visibility at all times!
Excellent product. Easy to navigate’ wide choice of reading options. Especially like the night time light option. Lightweight and compact with protection cover.
I own seven Kobo devices, everything from the Kobo Touch to the Kobo Clara and Libra Colour. I only issue I have with the last two units is the plastic case covering, it seems cheap, fragile and is slippery to the touch. The older units had a rubberized finish which made it easier to hold.
I had to return this product our public library uses hoopla and this is not comparable with hoopla therefore I was not able to use it
very clear print. the only thing i dont like is the change to the way you are displaying my books. i preferred the list simply by name of book..Find the display showing front cover of book very hard to read.
