Keymitt nice idea but useless

Keymitt lock is an gadget which you can mount on your existing door lock. Once installed you can open and close your door using the keymitt app on your cellphone.
Sounds good. But unfortunately it does not work very well. In my case only one user can connect to the lock. Installing the app on another phone and connecting to the lock as a second user does not work.
The support was not very helpful. They send you links to the manuals. Unfortunately the manuals are not very well written and you will not be able to solve your problem by referring to the manual.
They will not provide other support.
Worst of all is the keymitt hub. This device is meant to be something like an internet-relay for remote access to the lock. You must connect the hub to your WIFI and place it somewhere near the lock. Now you should be able to open and close your door lock via the internet. Sounds good but never worked. The hub has never connect to the lock. So absolutely useless. And here although no useful support.
It is a nice concept but very bad made. Sorry. It is useless. I gave them ten chances to help me solve the problems but they did not take the chance.

Worked well, promised features never came, company has gone missing and their lock has stopped working

I pre-ordered their lock from their website and was lucky enough to receive a “prototype” for beta testing. Never received the production version. The lock itself is well-built and sturdy. The motor is quite noisy, probably a bit louder than other brands. Mounting it requires the back of the lock to have enough surface area to stick onto. The software had issues but became quite stable for several months until recently, things just stopped working. And this is where the tricky part in supporting crowdfunding campaigns that use cloud-based services. When the company disappears for whatever reason, the product becomes useless. So take cloud-based services on crowdfunding campaigns like Kickstarter and Indigogo as a huge red flag. To be fair, the product did work well. But most of the promised features never came and the company seems to be gone for good.

Awful

I received the product after numerous delays (fair enough etc. etc. I knew what I was getting into with product development and Kickstarter). Their customer service was terrible and the product doesn't work. All the features they promised also failed to deliver.

Do not order!

I was one of their Kickstarter backers and never received my pledge, despite numerous promises and e-mails. Looking through these reviews I'm not so sure I want this terrible product. Sigh; money down the drain again, as is becoming quite more usual at Kickstarter.

This is a scam

This is a scam.
I was one of the original kickstarter backers 3 years ago. I have never received the product.
Read the comments on Kickstarter if you still think this is legit.

This is a scam Company

This is a scam Company - 1.5 year after my purchase on kickstarter, still no product. But still launching new kickstarters. I’d advise not to buy anything here. Btw: their support is of cause both almost non existing and lying when answering.

For this Gadjet and it is not safe

Get this Gadjet and it is not safe. Report several times to the company and they didn’t solve the problem.
I’ve send the device for refund as they ask for and now they say it will take time to get my money because they have to make several tests to that gadjet.

I have lots of prof this don’t work.
The help desk simply doesn’t work. Nothing work there…

Doesn’t work.

Alright, I got a chance to get the product. Unfortunately it really doesn’t work… I tried my best but the Keymitt doesn’t fit the door I have, yet I did email the team before pledging for it and they confirmed it would work… another piece of useless tech I fear :(

useless, unreliable

Although I did receive the lock, it broke after three weeks. The motor is not moving the actuator anymore. Some grinding noises are coming out of it. I suspect some cogs snapped or something else. I wrote to keymitt and no response was given. We also had some issues with connection at first, but that seems to be OK now on its own. Keymitt doesn’t really provide any help whatsoever. And now they went mute when we asked about returning the item and refund.
I will remove this feedback if anyone from keymitt will provide some viable information on how to return the faulty lock. I’m not interested in sympathetic yet empty words - just tell me how to return and get my money back. Paying nearly £250 for this junk is quite extortionate, don’t you think?

Keymitt Smart Lock door locks are a…

Keymitt Smart Lock door locks are a scam. Do not waste your time. I have two orders in with them. They provide false and misleading tracking numbers for their shipments. I am located in Canada, but I suspect that customers in the USA and around the world will have the same issues. If you post a comment asking for help on their Instagram or Facebook pages, they will block you and delete the comments.

Don’t buy, Keymitt is a scam

Ordered the Keymitt lock on 2020-01-14 during the crowd-funding

No news on my order after the release date, so I decided to contact the customer service on 2021-09-10 and they told me that the parcel will be send in a few days. It was not the case…

One month later - 2021-10-20: Once again I contact Michell from customer service to ask her what’s going on with my order and they assure me that the package will be sent on Friday October 22nd.

2021-10-29: I let you guess the following… a week after the promised date, the package has not been sent and will never be sent.

Don’t waste your money and your time

These people are just scammers. Paid for my lock in Feb 2020. I have requested numerous times for refund they just ignore you and have the audacity to try sell you something else to fleece you of more monies. Do not be tempted to part with your funds. They now have blocked me from facebook. But dont worry i have lots of Facebook accounts and i will keep harassing and warning people of these crooks.
