After several emails they gave me a refund for 75%.

Overall.. buy such a product from a store. I wish I did that.

Inaccurate information

Inaccurate information. I used the cutting board once to slice an onion and it is already scarred and scratched. Return policy is that it must be unused - how the heck can you evaluate the product if you don't use? I purchased 2 and am contemplating sending the second one back. Need to see what the shipping is.

How To Obtain a Full Refund From GetKatuChef

I am responding to Jane and others, like myself, who fell for the misleading ads posted on YouTube by getkatuchef. We were gullible enough to buy a cheap product, AND were tricked into ordering additional cutting boards by confusing order screens that prompted you to enter quantities that you thought you had specified in the first order screen they presented!

I contacted my bank that had a customer service number and reported the con and they issued me a temporary refund for the entire amount (reflected in two separate charges incurred by clicking two different cutting board quantities on the two separate getkatuchef order screens).

I then printed the email exchanges of the multiple Customer Service encounters I had: initially contacting the company’s customer support agent to immediately correct the quantity of boards I ordered and being told I couldn’t because the order had already been packaged for shipment, followed by additional calls and emails to Customer Service when I asked for the shipment status a week later, my request to ship the package UNOPENED for a full refund, and another agent’s attempts to greatly reduce the price.
I also included photos I took of the package when it arrived at my doorstep UNOPENED and NEVER opened the package.

I printed out all of these pages and wrote a summary page of all exchanges I had to contend with, by date, when each one occurred and what happened.

It took me an entire day to assemble this information but it worked. I had a bank person fax my “report” to the investigation team and within several weeks, the bank made the temporary refund permanent!

I am a Technical Writer by trade so I knew how to write and assemble what had occurred! Good luck!

Deceptive Business Practices

This company is essentially doing a bait and switch, upselling people and lying about your super-efficient order fulfillment system. For that reason, I am out. I will eat the loss in shipping and learn my lesson.

Online scam. It sells people on a product, and tricks them into purchasing without understanding the total billing. Tried to cancel transaction and was told by customer support "We understand that you requested to cancel your order immediately after placing it. However, our system is designed to process and ship orders very quickly—often within seconds. An attempt was made to cancel or modify the order; however, it has already been sent to our fulfillment center for packing and shipping, so we’re unable to cancel it at this stage." However, the package wasnt even shipped until August 16, and arrived on August 24. The order was placed on July 31. 16 days went by before the order was shipped from the warehouse! That is deceptive. When asked for the instructions to get a refund I went through 4 rounds of counter offers at lower and lower prices. Ultimately, it too seemed to be a scam. I am awaiting a refund. They seem to be adding more and more conditions and say it may take 14 business days after the return is made, if they decide that the product is undamaged and is in original package. By the way they ship the cutting boards in a plastic bag, containing several cutting boards in a bubble wrap, so the package itself is not in a cardboard box which it should be in. In addition to getting me to double the size of my order without confirmation, it charged me for shipping AND $17 for a waranty.. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.

BUYER BEWARE!

I certainly wish I had done a little research on Katuchef before I purchased the product. After a long wait (literally a slow boat from China), I finally received the three cutting boards I ordered. I was very disappointed in the size, though I probably should have verified the size before ordering. So, that's on me! I just thought for the price, they would be larger, and I was relying on the image I saw of the board being held by a person on their website giving the appearance of a medium size cutting board. Very deceiving! Yesterday, I began the process of attempting to return the product for a full refund in compliance with their 30-day return policy. Called and was advised I would receive the instructions via email. Instead, the first email I received was a survey. Begrudgingly, I completed the survey and submitted it. Next, was a series of emails offering to refund 25%, then 50%, and finally 75% of the product total. I did not expect to have to negotiate the return; my intent is to return the product for a full refund, as I will never use them or gift them, as I originally thought I would. I understand I need to incur the cost of shipping, and I am willing to do that. Not sure what to do at this point. Should I just accept the 75% refund and eat my loss? This was a PayPal purchase. Perhaps, I should reach out to PayPal to file a claim. I have never encountered a situation like this before. Any suggestions? NOTE: To anyone considering the purchase of a titanium cutting board, DO NOT BUY Katuchef. You will regret it!

Nope

Haven't even used the product yet, as expedited delivery charge apparently means over two weeks, and I just received them. Long story short, I ordered 3 at the bulk discount price, and was charged for 3 boards, along with an additional 2 at a higher price. Definitely didn't need 5 boards, so, within 5 minutes of the 2 separate charges showing up on my PayPal account, plus the $12.95 for shipping I reached out and explained what they had done, only to be told that the order was already at the warehouse and being prepped and couldn't be cancelled or amended. (amazing that a company can turn things around THAT fast!). Ha. No way to stop it, they said, but I could RETURN the additional ones, at MY expense once received. After days of going back and forth, they told me that I could keep the boards and get 25% off my order.....just click the link in the email they sent. Sorry, don't trust you anymore....not clicking ANY link associated with it.
I'm taking the hit on this, live and learn, but beware, this is a shady company. And quite honestly, I'm really not that impressed with the product once it finally arrived. Like I say, fool me once......Really don't recommend.

Believe Trustpilot reviews on Katuchef

You enter a predatory buying experience with Katuchef. Scammers? I would have to say YES. One of my first thoughts was: why does PayPal put up with these guys? Don’t they try to screen the really bad ones? Apparently not.
So I filled a complaint with PayPal. It is ongoing at this point.
All the stuff I read in Trustpilot reviews is true. I complained to Katuchef immediately and they shipped on me in a couple days. That is what I know so far. Will comment further.

Absolute scammers

To everyone that has been scammed. Go to your bank and request a refund that way. Worked for me. I tried with katuchef but they weren't responding to my actual question about returning the item and getting a refund.

Also if you purchased through PayPal, just double check to see if the payment is a one off. I noticed they some how put a auto monthly payment to come out once a month. Super cheeky but I am so glad I noticed it.

I hope this helps someone.

Maybe this is a scam

Maybe this is a scam? When ordering a single Katuchef cutting board to try out, I fell for the offer to buy two for a slight increase in price. Instead I found I had ordered 3 for twice the price. I thought it would be easy to return 2 of the boards, but the customer support repeatedly gives you the run-around. I don't know if I'll ever get any money back. Now I know I need to read more reviews before I buy.

Did Not Experience Problems

This item came within the promised time frame, in perfect condition (protective plastic on both sides), and billing was accurate. As for size, it is buried deep on their website as 11.4" x 7.9" so if you expected bigger, that's a buyer problem. I have other titanium boards and this is thicker and sturdier. Future use will determine it's scratch resistant qualities. I was disappointed that there is no name etched into the board. If they're proud of the product, it should say Katuchef, otherwise it looks like any generic titanium cutting board.

Do NOT do business with this company or whoever is advertising this product. If you decide you don't want what you ordered, less than five minutes after you clicked on it, they will not let you cancel. The product is extremely inferior and you can do much much better on Amazon. These people are a scam. Please don't waste your money like I did.

DO NOT BUY. READ REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING A KATSUCHEF TITANIUM BOARD.

This is the worst product I have purchased in my life. A most deceiving product. Hoping to save others the same grief and disappointment with this product. I was expecting a proper size chopping board. This tiny titanium useless piece of metal, slightly larger than a postage stamp (I wouldn't call it a chopping board) is not for kitchen use. You can only cut one item at a time instead of cutting several vegetables and keeping them on the board altogether. The surface does scratch. I bought extra to give as gifts. What a fool. I am attempting to get a dissatisfaction refund. (purchased on 28/07/2025.)

Don’t buy it! It’s a scam!!!

They show a big titanium cutting board, but when I got it, it’s about the size of my hand. They don’t have any transparency in their website and when you try to talk to them or leave a honest review in their page saying how bad it is (truth!), they don’t allow it. It’s really a scam and waste of money. Don’t buy it or you will regret it.

I usually don’t take the time to write a review, but I feel I should let people know product is not worth buying. It’s pretty pricey for a small cutting board and thin not impressive as photo shown on advertisement and it’s not scratch resistant. Because it’s thin and light weight, it easily moves when in used. I have to put a regular cutting board under neath.
There method of shipping the product made my jaws dropped. It came in a thin packaging bubble wrap. I ordered four and one was dented. I emailed customer service sent photo as requested been waiting for over a month now. I reached out today to FU and was told it’s on its way delayed because they were out of stock. It would have been nice to get updates by their customer service but nope no email or call. Some kind of communication would have been helpful from feeling cheated after spending $200+

Horrible experience and suspicious of KatuChef’s claims and product safety…

KatuChef & their products & customer service do not even deserve one-star. I’d rate them lower if I could. They use AI (pretending to be people, w/photo even) for customer interaction. Other reviews said they’re “evasive“. They sure are!! They dodge my repeated requests for an address to return the product. They use stalling techniques, like offering increasingly higher percentage refunds if I drop my request for a full refund & just keep their products. But I believe their products likely contain lead, a very dangerous health hazard, or other contaminates.
The cutting boards arrived scratched. Real titanium never scratches! Real titanium is tougher than diamonds.
KatuChef cutting boards also weigh more than twice what titanium does. I suspect these are made by slave labor in Chinese prison camps, are contaminated with other metal, perhaps lead. Here's why: lead is heavy, but soft and scratches easily. It is very toxic to people, especially if eaten, even in minuscule amounts of 10 parts per billion! Maybe the metal even gives off radiation, too, but I have no way of proving any of this, except the more-than-twice-the -weight-of-titanium weight for its size & mass. Anyone with a food scale that shows weight in grams can look up online what 100% pure titanium weighs according to its measurements of length, width, & thickness.

Katuchef is definitely a scam

Katuchef is definitely a scam. They added extras of $151.51 onto the bill of $71.80 for 2 titanium boards. $31.80 added charge of a silicone mat that I didn’t order. The big shock was $119.71 for a warranty! Why would I order a warranty more expensive than the boards?
They don’t let you know this information until the order is completed. As soon as I saw the charges, I attempted to cancel the order twice: once by phone; tTotalwice by email. I was informed that they would cancel the order. Fifteen days later I received an email that the order had been shipped.
When I called them again, I was informed that once the order was shipped they would not cancel the order.
Frustrated and bewildered, I reached out again, hoping for some resolution, but the responses were evasive and unhelpful. It seemed impossible to speak to a real person or obtain a clear explanation. My trust eroded further with every automated reply and generic apology. The entire experience left me feeling powerless, watching the unwanted package inch closer with each tracking update.
Total scam!
