Will I Ever Get My Order?
BUYER BEWARE! I placed an order back in early January knowing there was a lead time of 2-3 weeks. I was promptly charged on 1/28 for the entirety of my order yet I received no shipping information. On the website, the order invoice states "The total amount has been pledged to the credit card; the amount will be charged after the order has been shipped." February came around and I contacted customer service on 2/5 for an update and was told via email that "We have received notification from US logistics that the requested product is unavailable and will arrive from Italy in approximately 2 weeks." Why charge my bank account if the product was unavailable? Now it is March and I have yet to hear a peep. Client services has not replied to my emails since February 5th and I'm out almost $300. It seems impossible to reach a real person for something so simple as an update or explanation.

My very expensive lamp broke, so I asked for spare parts. Each time I got the same answer: lamp cannot be opened, but we can offer you to buy an new one 🤔😂.
By the way: I could open the lamp easily without damage. I just need suitable spare parts.

Fragile construction, no spare parts
I recently purchased the beautiful "BOURGIE" lamp, but unfortunately, a small part broke and the lamp fell apart. I contacted Kartell’s customer support, and they replied: “We regret to inform you that, for safety reasons, the lamp connector is not available as a spare part.” I do not understand their policy, I’m disappointed that there’s no solution to repair such a "high-quality" product.
I bought to battery lamps
I bought two battery lamps less than a year ago. Both are starting to flicker after a while of charging, one of them doesnt work at all anymore. I wtote twice to customer service in english and in italien. No reply at all. Thats a non existing customer service.

Do not buy Kartel furniture - metallic gold chairs have paint peeling and their table top copper colour has missing patches
The metallic gold Kartel chairs and copper table top are faulty. The service I have received from Diffuse Luce in Italy is dreadful. They are just ignoring my complaints. I beg everyone reading this review to stop purchasing these pieces of Kartel furniture. They refuse to warrant their products. I have previously written to Kartle Italy multiple times with no resolution to the furniture I have purchased from you via your distributor Diffuce Luce. I am yet again writing to you to resolve. I purchased a table that had missing copper tone on it and 4 gold metallic chairs where the paint is peeling off. I am sick and tired of this manufacturing problems not being addressed by your company. I have previously sent you all the documentation you have asked for but your response is to deal with your distributor. Well they are not doing anything. I am now asking you via your Australian branch to either refund the table and 3 chairs or replace them given your distributor in Italy is refusing to do so. Otherwise I will be taking further action.
Kartell Style Toilet top quality
Kartell Style Toilet is superb, real quality toilet and I will definitely be changing the other toilets in my house to Kartell. I cannot comment on customer service like other reviews as it arrived on time and without a blemish.
Not as advertised and terrible customer service
Ordered radiators in January from their 2024 catalogue and received the items, the specification Btu required was correct when ordering but the colour was not as expected. When looking online at their updated catalogue for 2025 I have noticed every single radiator on every page has had the BTU specification cut by at least a third, half in some cases. Two weeks of trying to get a response directly and through the company I purchased through only to find they have absolutely no customer care skills evident and don’t give a toss that they have misold their products through incorrect advertising, they are rude, unhelpful and are unwilling to accept items back. Do not buy these radiators unless you want something which isn’t as described and with absolutely no recourse as the customer service skills are non existent.

I bought a Kartell ghost chair 10+ years ago & have used it at my dressing table daily. I recently replaced this as its been through several house moves & has fair wear from daily use, the amber colour also now complements in the house we bought & have now decorated.
The chair arrived with a very poor finish to the back of the seat. There are sharp, raised edges - compared to the original item where this area has been filed to a flat/smooth finish.
I raised this via the supplier I bought from & Kartell refused the claim as apparently this is within tolerances. It's acceptable to you to have sharp edges at the height that a toddler could use to pull themselves up? And on a product that's £200+ for a chair?!
Disgraceful behaviour. Just take the chair back, send a replacement & fix the faulty one - restocking it at a discounted price if needed. Greedy & taking advantage of their customers.

very bad costumer support
I bought a Planet Designer lamp from the Kartell store in Vienna in January 2021. I loved this lamp very much. Now after 4 years I got a slight electric shock when I turned on the touch function and the LEDs went out. As there is no longer a flagship store in Vienna, I contacted Kartell.com directly. They offered me a 20% voucher for a new lamp, regardless of the fact that I had paid a price of 610 euros at the time. Now a new lamp would cost me 740 euros, including a 20% discount on the price on the website. And this despite the fact that the lamp is defective, because I have done nothing to the lamp except switch it on and off. In addition, my model (model before 05 2022) cannot be repaired, as I got informed. The new models can. I am very disappointed because the lamp really costs a lot of money and I have to dispose of the whole lamp after only 4 years. I can't and won't buy a new one under these circumstances.
I have asked Kartell to make me a fair offer for a new lamp, because I can't even get it repaired and I don't understand why I now have to pay even more to have another lamp at home than I paid at the time. I did not expected to pay nothing for a new appliance and would even have been prepared to pay EUR 400 for a replacement. That's 2/3 of the purchase price at the time and just under half of the current purchase price. I think that as more than enough for a quality-defected lamp But the company didn't even get back to me or reply after my last two emails!!! It's a shame and really sad and disappointing. Better not buy there!!!
Vanity not water resistant!
Just had my bathroom done and all items are Kartell. The sink vanity unit is bubbling and the plinth cracked. We got a so called professional (that's a story in itself) to install products, therefore didn't see packaging or details. The manufacturer
does state that items are splash proof, not waterproof. Who on earth makes a sink unit that isn't waterproof! It's not condensation proof and I'm drying it down with every use! I was 'allowed!' a replacement plinth, but not base. That is cracking again, even though it's sealed. 8k spent for a luxury finish, let down by a tatty unit!

One of the 2 chairs I ordered is dented and shows signs of bad manufacturing (droplets of cured varnish on the backrest). There's clearly no quality control or they sell their inferior products in their on-line store. Either way, I can only hope this matter will be resolved soon but reading the other comments, I fear the worst...
Edit: To be fair, this my experience: I filed a complaint through the Paypal Resolution Center. Kartell responded the same day asking for pictures of the box, the damage and documents. The next day they wrote back with 3 proposition to resolve the problem. Free of charge exchange, partly refund or total refund after returning of the damaged piece. I choose the latter. They sent me a shipment slip and ordered a pick-up. The only hassle for me was packing the product again. After 5 days I received the total refund in my Paypal account. So, I changed my experience rating from 1 to 3. The problem was swiftly addressed but they have a quality control problem and it's damaging their reputation...
Do not use this company
Purchased three Kartell K Rads one started to rust badly within 7 months of fitting . That particular rail was fitted in a guest bathroom which has only been used a handful of times for one night only . it is obviously faulty . Many emails and calls later I am told it is moisture damage !! My point no moisture in this bathroom as not used and more to the point aren't they for bathrooms anyway !
They are refusing to replace . Customer Services is shocking . I am now proceeding through the small claims court

Awful customer experience. A product has been sent. The product was totally scratched.
I was asked to send pics which I did via website and via email and received another request to send pics. I just wanted to get a return label for a product that was not in order. This is not solved yet. Unbelievable. Never ever I‘d recommend to buy from them. I wish I‘d read the reviews before I placed my order.
Terrible non existent customer service
I bought a very expensive Kartell light through a retailer supplying their products. I don't like giving negative reviews so good stuff first. Retailer great, light truly beautiful a work of art
But...
It was supposed to be dimmable, something that was essential to me but the switch was a straight on /off.
No big deal I thought, irritating but I was happy if they'd just sent a dimmer switch and I've have wired it in myself, done it before with an identical Kartell light I've had for a few years but the dimmer broke.
The retailer has contacted them on many occasions over the last couple of months and they basically don't seem to want to know.
I've bought 5 of the same lights in a variety of colours so have spent many hundreds of pounds with this company
Feels like utter arrogance on their part so if you get anything from them and there's an issue have very low expectations
Poor quality radiators....multiple faults
Bought a Cincinnati radiator which was faulty and leaking at the weld joints upon installation. Agreed for an exchange from seller (finally). New one fitted and working fine for 6 months until it leaked from another weld joint. Struggling to get a response from the seller so contacted Kartell directly and explained 2 radiators have failed within 12 months and as they have a 5 year guarantee can they assist....short response was no, they will only deal with the suppliers which leaves me without a working radiator in winter.
Shocking customer service not willing to assist and lack of acknowledement that their products are of a very poor quality.
