Food missing - shocking customer service - avoid !!!
Some of our food was missing and Just Eat were not interested at all. I messaged them and got an apology but we cannot do anything. I messaged again and again they are not interested. Shocking customer service. I have deleted my account and will NEVER use them again. Please avoid this company at all costs.

How is it legal to say 50%off but maximum discount allowed is £10 ?? Thats not 50%off is it ! Its minimum spend of £15 ,maximum discount allowed £10.. so yeh, thanks for the email just eat but it needs to be worded better! And sent with more than one day before it expires!

ZERO rating - Complete Lack of Customer Service – Extremely Disappointing Experience
I ordered from Shahi Zaiqa (High Wycombe) after making several telephone calls and being told that I could not place an order over the phone and that I had to order through Just Eat. Unfortunately, I followed this advice and consequently paid the additional cost associated with ordering through Just Eat.
One of the main reasons I chose collection was that I was advised the collection time would be approximately 10–20 minutes, compared with 40–50 minutes for delivery. My collection was scheduled for 19:09 and I arrived on time. I was then informed that my order was not ready and would take a further 5–6 minutes.
Approximately 20 minutes later, my order was finally handed to me. There was no meaningful apology or acknowledgement of the delay.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that, when placing my order, I had been told that some of the dishes I wanted were unavailable. However, while I was standing in the restaurant waiting for my delayed order, I witnessed orders being taken over the telephone – despite having been told that I could not order by phone – and the karahi dishes I had been told were unavailable appeared to be available to other customers.
I questioned this with the young lady working there, but unfortunately found the communication and customer-service skills extremely poor. I was unable to obtain a satisfactory explanation.
I have attempted to resolve this directly with Just Eat and the restaurant since Friday, without success. I am informed that there collection time is only an estimate.
I appreciate that some customers may be prepared to accept this standard of service, but I am not. When you pay for a service, you are entitled to expect a reasonable standard throughout the whole experience – from placing the order to receiving the food. I should not have been required to pay extra to order through Just Eat after being told telephone orders were not accepted, only to then witness telephone orders being taken while I waited.
Unfortunately, the food itself did not redeem the experience. I found it excessively spicy to the point that it was inedible.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience involving a delayed collection, contradictory information about ordering and dish availability, poor communication, no meaningful apology and repeated unsuccessful attempts to resolve the matter afterwards.
Refused refund for a large order that arrived cold with missing items !!!!
Ordered an anniversary take away with our saved up money only for it to take 1hr 30 mins to arrive and then have the wrong items in it and missing items and all of the food was cold and inedible. Contacted the restaurant and they apologised and stated we needed to contact Just eat and they would refund us in full as it was the restaurants fault they were extremely busy. They hadn’t told us we were getting substituted food items and the fact it was cold on arrival. Contacted just eat explained all of this and initially said NO to a refund. I contacted the restaurant again and they said they would contact just eat and confirm a full refund was agreed. Another email from just eat stating they have put £12 on our account to use on our next order ! The takeaway was £60 so we have £12 to spend on another no doubt cold takeaway so lost not only all the food as it went in the bin but my £60 as I won’t be ordering via Just Eat again I will contact the restaurant direct. Disgusting customer service no wonder you have a 1 star rating on trust pilot. It’s not fair when people spend thier hard earned money and you do nothing about any complaints. Also it needs to be explained that the restaurant is not liable for the refund Just Eat are due to the business model which the manager explained to me. So the restaurant do not loose out on the money Just eat do hence why you don’t refund customers. Never again !
Food arrived cold over an hour late
Food arrived cold over an hour late, £36 spent and got the generic just eat response that it seems everyone gets.
They have zero accountability, terrible company.
I spent £14 for a meal and the Drink…
I spent £14 for a meal and the Drink got spilled so had no cola also ordered chocolate brownie didn't receive the chocolate brownie and was refused a refund for my missing items by just eat poor customer service in my opinion
This is hands down the worst company on…
This is hands down the worst company on the planet. The service, support and complete arrogance, incompetence and rudeness with which they operate is unbelievable. How they are still in business is a mystery. My food arrived 2 hours lates, App constantly moved the time, restaurant confirmed the order was collected 2 hours before it was delivered, then food arrived cold and inedible. Customer service are a joke, made no sense and refused to even explain their process. I strongly urge anyone to use alternative or make a sandwich rather than use this shambles of a Company
No refund even if items are not delivered!
Restaurant called to say that they did not have an item and asked me if I wanted an alternative. I said no, they said to raise it with just eat. I raise it with them and they say their automated review has decided I don’t get a refund for an item that didn’t get provided. Sent them the voicemail and the call from the restaurant as evidence, still nothing, then when I said I’ll raise a dispute with my bank, they threaten to withdraw my service as per their terms and conditions…customer.service.at.its.best!! Crooks!!
Poor food and even worse customer service
I’ve been disappointed with Just Eat before, but I decided to give the platform one final chance. Unfortunately, this order was the last straw.
The food was stale, the tandoori had a really unpleasant smell, the dal makhani was unbelievably salty, and the paneer was simply awful. The overall quality of the food was completely unacceptable.
I contacted Just Eat to complain, but rather than taking the issue seriously, I received a generic response explaining that restaurants have their own recipes and that Just Eat cannot influence taste or presentation. That completely missed the point — I wasn’t complaining because I didn’t like the taste. I was complaining because the food was stale, smelled bad and was not of an acceptable quality.
After this experience, I have closed my Just Eat account and will not be using the platform again. I had already given them several chances, and this was my final one.
Based on my experience, I would personally look elsewhere.
Fraudulent and Zero Customer Services Apart from Ineffectual AI Bots
Absolutely appalling. They took £60 out of my Mums account when she hadn't ordered anything. As soon as she got the bank involved, the money arrived back in her account.
I went to place an order using a credit for a previous poor order we'd had and when I went to pay the credit vanished. Unsurprisingly you cannot speak to a human at JustEat. You either go around in circles in their AI chat online or you call and as soon as you select the customer option they refer you back to the AI chat again before swiftly dropping the call.
So now there is no way to get compensation, resolve missing credits or speak to someone when they 'accidentally' take money out of your account!!!
Poor support when something goes wrong.
Poor support when something goes wrong.
Just Eat is convenient for placing an order, but my experience of trying to resolve a problem afterwards was extremely frustrating.
There is no obvious or straightforward way to speak directly to customer service, and finding proper assistance feels far more complicated than it should be.
Customers are paying for both the food and the delivery service. If an order is missing, incorrect, damaged or otherwise problematic, getting help should be simple.
Just Eat really needs to improve its customer support and provide a clear route to a real person when automated help does not resolve the issue.
A disappointing experience.
Terrible
Terrible. Restaurant didn't deliver half my order and told me to contact just eat for a refund. Just eat denied it for no reason then stated that my bag was delivered so they won't refund. Have to initiate a chargeback just to get my own money back as I've been going in circles with automated responses and agents who dont care. I use just eat flat out and that's me done now. I won't be spending my money with a multimillion pound company who are gonna fight me over a tenner cause their agents are lazy.
Scammers
Completely wrong order delivered and refusal to take any responsibility on the company’s behalf. No refund or assistance in any way.
“Just Eat” are a disgusting, greedy company run by thieves. I am considering taking them to small claims court as I am £50 + out of pocket. I implore you to do the same. It’s not about the money anymore, just the principle.
Don’t order from these scummy companies again and order directly from the take away. Support your local businesses, not soulless corporations.
Kfc erith doesnt send itsnfood and you…
Kfc erith doesnt send itsnfood and you cant complain didnt send my loisiana box meal burger was not on the delivery. Poor service and poor whats app servoce not providing contact or refund dont order from just eat
Disgusting company
Disgusting company. Wrong food delivered, inedible food, food turning up 2 hours late.....and they refuse to refund people because they say those reaaons are not valid. Scum!!
The worst company to order from
The worst company to order from. Timings are always wrong and the food arrives cold
Shambles

I clicked the box to replace it with simple item.. this was.not done Last of.my money and can taken5 days for refund so.pooch has no food.
Why cant they carry out simple.instrucrions.has happened several times now.
Horrendous service
Scheduled a delivery for a certain time. It was over half an hour late and so cold when it arrived. Complained to just eat but they said they didn’t see a reason to give any compensation. Deliveroo is much better and much more reliable. Will not use them again.
Absolutely appalling customer service.
Absolutely appalling customer service.
I submitted a refund request with clear evidence that I had been sent the WRONG ITEM, including proof of purchase and evidence of the issue. Despite this, my refund was simply rejected with no meaningful explanation or proper consideration of the evidence I provided.
When I challenged the decision, I was offered “credit” as a “goodwill” gesture. I did not ask for goodwill. I asked for a refund for an item that was not what I ordered. The way this was handled was incredibly insulting and gave the impression that my legitimate complaint was being treated as if I was trying to make a dishonest claim.
They completely ignored the substance of my original request, dismissed the evidence I provided and attempted to close the matter with store credit instead of addressing the actual problem.
This is not how a legitimate consumer complaint should be handled. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers have legal rights when goods are not as described, and offering “goodwill credit” does not simply make those rights disappear.
After repeatedly trying to resolve this directly and getting nowhere, I am now having to pursue a chargeback.
I would strongly recommend keeping your receipts, photographs and all correspondence if you have an issue with an order from this company. Based on my experience, you may need them.
Absolutely disgraceful way to treat a customer.
Terrible service
I have used just Eat for a few years, but over the last 8 months, their service has been atrocious, food arrives cold and with items missing, after contacting the restaurants and being given proof that my full order was given to the delivery driver, it shows me that Just Eat does not care about who they employ.
