Junction 17 Cars 

Waste of time - avoid.

Viewed a car, they showed us a completed checklist of various checks they’d done on it, clearly said the car could be taken that day if the sale completed. I went away to think about it that afternoon, then paid to reserve the car online, called their head office to let them know that I’d be back the next morning to pay for and collect the car and asked for them to have it ready for me, which they assured me it would be.

Went in the next morning as arranged. I was asked how I was paying etc, filled in the form and went for a test drive. Just before I did, the salesman that was with me said to his manager he needed to have a word with him which they went and did in another room, there were other customers present so I had no inkling it was related to my purchase, and nothing was said to me. I was still under the impression I’d be taking the car as long as all was ok with the test drive.

Get back after, salesman says “I have some bad news, you can’t take the car today”, then said it had to go to Peterborough for its checks to be done and would take around a week. This was annoying, as I needed a car and they’d told me I could take it same day. Also given that they’d showed us a completed checklist the day before, I cannot fathom what further checks needed to be done. I called their head office to ask why I was advised I could take it when I couldn’t, they blamed a “miscommunication” but said not to worry, as I’d reserved it, and they would deliver to me FOC once it had had its “checks”.

I then called them a few days later to see if there was an update as I’d heard nothing, and the website was showing the car as sold. Was promised a call back which never materialised. Called again to chase, their head office said the local branch needed to contact me because they didn’t know what was going on, and it was showing the car was still at that branch (???). The branch then called with a story of it going onto the ramp and them realising it had head gasket issues and had had to be returned to the person they were selling it on behalf of, and started going on about how head gasket issues are dangerous - duh. They said they could have a look if they have anything similar for me but I’d rather swim naked in the Channel than buy anything from these guys, so I asked for my reservation deposit to be returned.

I’m glad really as I feel like I’ve dodged a bullet, I also don’t believe their story about the head gasket, or the “checks” it needed - I think they sold it to someone else, probably that was buying their finance, which I wasn’t.

So yes, avoid.

Fantastic service from start to finish at Junction 17 Cars. The staff were knowledgeable and answered all my questions about the car and finance options. I appreciated how transparent they were throughout the process. On the day of collection, the handover was very professional – the car was fully prepared, paperwork was quick, and they walked me through the service history and warranty. It made buying a car feel really easy and stress-free.

Toby gave excellent customer service. Was looking at a vulvo xc90 and he gave all information on the car clearly and was very cheery. Unfortunately, my wife wouldn’t let me buy it however one day I will return.

The handover was poor - we were clearly not expected when we arrived to collect the car. The car had not been valeted as promised and the documentation was incomplete.

Further issues post-sale were handled largely with indifference.

I bought a car from Olivia/Junction 17 cars, and had a great experience. She was friendly, honest, and very easy to deal with. The car was exactly as described and clearly well looked after. On top of that, Olivia was lovely and had a great sense of humor, which certainly made the whole experience even more pleasant. Great experience with Junction 17 Cars. Tom was our sales contact and was very polite and not pushy. The car was prepared in a couple of days, although it still had a couple of minor marks on the paintwork it was agreed to correct them at a convenient time for me.
A very good experience and I may buy from them again.
Just a word of advice. I brought the service contract with the car. After returning it for a major 36,000 service, I discovered the the costs only covers a basic service and it doesn’t follow the manufacturers guidelines for the service (any parts that would normally be included “aren’t”). This wasn’t made clear at the time of purchase.
Disappointing.

Well this was such a pleasure dealing with junction 17 such a friendly environment and wonderful people quick pleasure transaction and a lovely service i bought a rs6 and love it high end cars i highly recommend them

They lied about repairing the things that where not workkng on the car they kept the car for 2 weeks then gave me back the car not fixed i paid £32000 i would not recomend you buy from them i cant stress enough dont not buy from them

We have over the years bought many cars and other vehicles from reputable dealerships. At Junction 17 the quality and display of the vehicles is exceptional.
There are many vehicles in the showroom that simply take your breath away. We were made to feel very welcome as first time customers and felt nothing was a stressful event unlike previous car sales when buying a new vehicle. At Junction 17 cars, You will not be disappointed… if you choose to buy a vehicle from the many on view with Brad, Tom helping through every step of the buying process you will leave as it clearly says on the front doors as a happy new car owner and as a friend and not just a customer.
We did indeed buy a wonderful car and are happy with the sales support who work great as a team…give Junction 17 a visit.

The vehicle that I wanted to buy went into PDI and a fault was found, over the next week the team at Junction 17 Grantham worked hard to find a suitable replacement, hats off to Charlie for finding the right vehicle and working late to get the PDI and MOT done. Junction 17 Peterborough, nearly 300 in hidden fee and they wouldnt allow me to test drive a car i was really interested. I asked what was the hidden fee for for which the sales guy said for HPI, processing the sale of the car! I explained that i would do my own HPI check (as you would normally do) and for a charge for processing a sale isnt that what the garage would be do in selling a car anyway? Bonkers!. They do not allow you to test drive the car until a deal has been reached! Bonkers how can you buy something with test driving it, it was not a brand new car! i will not ever be buying a car from the business!

Bought a car, it broke down after 25 days of ownership, it was really difficult to get into contact with anyone and when I finally did I gave the car back to them at my cost, and the car has been in their position for almost 3 months now, when I handed the car back to them I told them I’d like to return the car since it’s not of satisfactory quality and I’d like to receive my money back but they told me they need to inspect it first, after 2 months of them “inspecting” it they said they can’t give me a refund because it doesn’t qualify, now I’m fighting for the money back since I only had the car for 25 days and I’m legally entitled to receive a full refund. Awful communication, bad service and really reluctant to actually help and provide good service, never going to buy another car from them again and I highly advise to avoid buying from here. This happened in the rugby junction 17.

Love the car and the staff were really friendly but the experience wasn't ideal. Turned up to collect the car as agreed at the Rugby branch, I got the train there as it is 90 mins from my house and the car wasn't there. I had to wait a couple of hours in total but it got sorted. When I got home I noticed that the car had two 13 amp chargers which is useless for a fully electric car. There customer service team asked for feedback and I told them about this issue but they have not come back to me since. I would still recommend them but my experience wasn't ideal and im still having to swop leads between cars

Very helpful staff. Excellent customer service, couldn’t do enough to help with info, car history etc. Small paint scratches repaired and were then invisible. New MOT even though there was 5 months left on the present one. Very pleased with the Mercedes that I bought. New V5 received within 1 week. All good, many thanks Junction 17 Peterborough & to Tom in particular.
