We had an immensely turbulent & stressful journey selling our flat & buying our house. It took 2.5 years, 2 buyers pulling out (one extremely last-minute & after school places were secured) then with the third and final buyer, we had a very tight deadline to meet (thanks to 'Buyer 2' and their last minute withdrawal). It was terribly stressful but Mike at J&P pulled out all the stops so thankfully we met the deadline successfully and are now moved and settled. We felt totally supported and listened to by Mike along the way, but also his amazing legal assistant Chris went above and beyond for us.

I have had dealings with Kavitha before; her professionalism, assurance and support throughout the process of the sale of my previous properties was the reason why I contacted her in Judge and Priestley to support me through the sale of my next house. It was a chain of 5 people and she was updating me and supporting me through the stressful process.
I would highly recommend this firm and would personally recommend Kavitha and her team who supported me every step of the way. Thank You!!

Excellent service. My wife and I had joint wills drafted by J&P. Our queries were handled in a reassuring way and everything was made clear to us before signing. Friendly and efficient.

Awful and unprofessional. Took well over a year to sort a lease extension.... Contact difficult and expensive. Avoid....
Their response to this post was to ask me to contact them to 'look into' it. What on earth for. It's dealt with, poorly, but dealt with. There's nothing they can do now.... Signs
... Just avoid....

Very professional and accessible service with excellent communication. A source of calm when any issues or complexities arose. Used by both my sister and me for separate conveyancing transactions

James Ray was friendly, polite, professional and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Everything was completed in a timely fashion with no hidden costs.
My wishes where excepted and supported without question, the whole experience was incredibly positive. I will be using them again when the need arises.

We hired James Ray of Judge & Priestley to conveyance our first house, and we would highly recommend both him and the firm. James was professional and attentive, and worked hard to get us moved in as soon as possible.

As a first time buyer it was so daunting with all the paperwork and what is needed. With judge and priestly it’s been a breeze! They have been so helpful through every step and kept us updated through the whole process. I would highly recommend anyone buying a house to contact them.

I had a very good experience when dealing with Judge and Priestly during the sale of my late Father's house.
James at Sidcup was very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend

Extremely dishonest organisation, they collect service charge debts on behalf of Camden Council and then do not pass it on and instead try to make more money by adding legals costs to the bill. I asked Georgina Mitchener verbally and in writing several weeks ago when payments would be passed onto Camden and she was not able to provide a concrete answer. I have concerns there is some kind of fraud going on, if they are not passing on the money. Will be escalating this ongoing known issue.
10 Jan 2024 - Got an email from TrustPilot apparently Judge & Priestly want more information from me to respond to my review. I have supplied the information.
Utterly unprofessional/impossible to get hold of and resolve problems they caused. I was given a bill to pay of GBP 2000 in 7 days, just 3 days ago in which they claimed I enterd an agrement to pay it off in installments in March - never heard from them since my last conversation/email in March in which they were waiting from the claimant to accept my terms. Been asking them to show me the corresponance in which I was informed of this decision as well as other correspondance but nothing, I have a suspicion they have never sent an email or letter to me at all!!! Stay away from them, whatever problems you may have they are likely to make it worse.
Judge & Priestley is a Fraud and a thief. They Fraudulently wrote to my local council and is also writing threatening letters to my mortgage company saying they are going to evict me from my property and they was able get a large sum of money (£5500) from my mortgage. Every time they just keep sending me threatening letters. I reported the fraud to the police but they still continue to do it. No one should use this firm!!! They are making my life a living hell, I am 73 years of age and I cannot take this harassment anymore. They are a fraud! Don’t be fooled by them!!!
Bunch of Turkeys , seems they trying to jump on the utility crisis bandwagon and make themselves some money.
Chasing me for money that I do not owe, but very unresponsive so you have no idea what's going on.
Call themselves solicitors , but glorified debt collectors if you ask me
We use this company to chase debts for us. They are slow and unresponsive. They received settlement for one of our claims over two weeks ago and are stalling on making payment. Avoid!
I received a bogus debt collection letter from this company requesting me to pay a debt of £27,535.46 in relation to the EDF electricity bill used in 2018 for a building in Hays UB3 5EY for my dormant company. My dormant company never traded or had an office unit. I have never rented a unit on the building they’re referring to, in fact, never visited this building in Hays.
I just sent them an email to stop this joke or will report it to the police.
Having decided to buy a house we made the unfortunate decision to use the legal firm recomended by our estate agent who unfortunatly partnered us with Judge Priestly and their senior conveyancer Caroline.
To start with we believed everything was going according to plan as the payment was taken and we were told that the searches were being requested however as time passed we began to wonder what was happening and thats when the problems came to light. Getting Caroline on the phone was virtually impossible as she hardly every answered it an when you left her a voicemail she never responded to it so i took to e-mailing alongside phone calls so I could have a written history of corrospondance attempts which at 1 point reached up to 4 per day without any response. Eventually after e-mailing warning them that if I did not get a response by coB then I would file a complaint with the legal ombudsman, contacting Carolines superior Madelaine and the estage agent calling several times a day that I got a response and we were able to arrange the exchange.
Following exchange I was keen to avoid any additional surprises so chased for the final statement so we could ensure there were no issues with completion and was advised that I would receive this at least 10 days before completion. No surprise this came and went and I returned to calling Caroline, her team and Madelaine to try and get and update and once again had to e-mail warning them that if we did not get this within 24 hours then I would file my complaint with the legal ombudsman and if their inaction caused me any financial losses then I would be taking legal action against judge priestly directly that I received this statement and was able to close off the last of my tasks in the process.
Overall I would say that if you want a legal firm that will make buying a house as easy as possible then I would be happy to recommend anyone other than judge preistley and if you are unfortunate enough to have already started working with them then do some reaserch into the legal ombudsman as it seemed the only way to get them to take an interest.
Used for conveyancing had no choice as they are in partnership with recommended 3rd party through estate agents.
Would not recommend at all communication always done through assistant, poor girl didn't seem to really know anything and attention to detail was very, very poor.
No communication with solicitor whatsoever throughout the entire process.
3 months to discover they hadn't photocopied an essential document correctly !!
Would not recommend Bromley Branch.
