Just Awful. Truly Awful.
The smoked salmon side I ordered again arrived a day later than promised. Last time the ice had melted and the salmon was not cold, and the inside of the parcel was dripping wet. A health risk, delivered. This time when it happened again I returned the salmon for a refund. I phoned to complain. I was not allowed to speak to a senior member of staff, I was accused of trying to get free salmon, and I was belittled, argued with and berated by members of staff in such a disgusting and appalling manner that in my view this company is unfit, as it stands, to interact with the general public. Perhaps, due to their royal warrant, they consider themselves royal yet I, Mr R W have received no contact from any senior member of the company either to apologise or to inform me that they will in fact refund my money. I therefore remain out of pocket, insulted, and with the feeling of having been a victim of abuse. Not sure what else I can say except that unfortunately this has been a genuine experience, simply because having just come home from hospital I wanted to buy my wife a present.
If John Ross Jnr have an ounce of decency they will own what has happened and apologise without further rebuke, directly to this review. And that sincere apology should come from their most senior director, with a promise that all staff will be retrained in their interactions with and promises made to every single one of their customers.
