SEXUAL KUNG FU - a lot of hot air

SEXUAL KUNG FU SEMINAR

My experience with Jonathan's Sexual Kungfu course
As most of the participants I had seem some of Jonathans Youtube-videos and joined his 12-week Sexual Kungfu course and participated for about 9 weeks before deciding to leave.
My first disappointment was that the course I believed I had booked with Jonathan was, in practice, largely taught by other people. Jonathan himself appeared only for two partly public Q&A sessions during the period I attended. During my course he was busy with his marketing, doing Youtube-videos and publishing a book.
Most of our actual course sessions were led by a (very friendly) German participant who had previously completed the course. Another announced teacher also failed to appear. When this happened, Jonathan did not step in and teach the sessions himself. Instead, we were waiting in vain for somebody to show up on Sunday eveings class and were later informed that somebody else would take over.
Several scheduled sessions did not take place at all – being postponed as we learned later. Participants were online waiting for them. Afterwards, the explanation was essentially that information about the cancellation had been posted somewhere among the different communication channels and that participants should have checked there. I found the organization unnecessarily confusing and unreliable.
The course content itself was also highly disappointing to me. Much of it consisted of breathing, visualization and "energy" exercises using a vocabulary “boorwed” from Chi Gong and some huge word-creatings like “Dragon Breathing”….. For example, we imagined energy moving from the feet towards the genitals and visualized energy travelling upward along the spine. Or we had to imaginge the testicles being pulled into the but-hole.
The exercises were given names such as "Dragon Breathing" and "Sexual Breathing." I personally recognized almost all ideas that were very similar to practices taught by Mantak Chia and other teachers in energy-work field or in the Chi Gong or Tai Chi movement. I did not experience the material as particularly original. Not even the idea of “reverse kegels” – that is relaxing the pelvic floor in stead of contracting it – is as original as it was presented to the participants.
A significant attraction of the course was the discussion of things such as multiple orgasms and orgasm without ejaculation. After approximately 9 weeks of participation, I personally did not experience the kind of results I had expected from the marketing. From conversations and interactions during the course with other students, I also did not get the impression that dramatic results were common among the group, although of course – albeit some participants may have had a psychologically beneficial effect from meeting with other man and discussing sexual issues openly in general. Of course I cannot speak for every participant.
Customer support was handled primarily by email by a guy called Jason, and responses could sometimes take quite a while and be rather shallow.
What disappointed me most was what happened when I decided to leave. I tried to contact Jonathan personally because I wanted to explain why the course had gone so badly for me. I offered a personal conversation, buthHe did not bother and would not contact me directly to discuss my experience.
For a course in this price-category which is built so strongly around personal development, sexuality, energy and transformation, I definitely expected considerably more personal involvement and engagement from the person whose name and teaching were the reason I signed up.
My experience can be summarized quite simply: breathing, visualization and energy exercises, big promises, inconsistent organization, little effect and surprisingly little direct teaching from Jonathan himself. The founder not present, seemed more interested in selling than in working with the participants.
I would not recommend this course based on my experience.
