Delighted with the ring. Fully restored & looking like new again. Would definitely recommend jewellery doctor.

My engagement ring was missing a stone, so I reached out to Jewellery Doctor because they had amazing reviews. Quick turnaround! I felt very assured by the safe packaging that they would do a great job and very glad they returned it insured with special delivery.

I sent a beautuful bracelet, which was 3 thin separate strands of silver. One strand had come loose from the clasp. They literally soldiered it to another strand, rather than open the clasp and reset it. So 2 strands are now ridged and visibly soldiered. Ruined a very sentimental gift. The return postage is so expensive, when you are given your quote to fix, you have no choice but to say yes!

I don't usually write bad reviews, but I just want to be honest.
Task: resize my engagement ring and replate it, and resize my wedding band.

Issue 1: They told me my engagement ring was not real gold and couldn't be resized as soldering would melt the base metal. It is real gold, and I have had it resized previously, so I knew it could be done.

Issue 2: Only 2 days into wearing my wedding band the place where it was cut to resize snapped open. As it is open it has started to warp and bend. This was NOT the same ring that they expressed concerns over. This happened on my honeymoon and felt an awful omen for my marriage. I took it to a jeweller and they said it was caused by a dry solder with not enough flux.

Issue 3: My wedding band had a handwritten inscription of my husbands handwriting on the inside of the band. They have polished the band to the point that the inscription is now completely gone.

Issue 4: The replating on my engagement ring (14k yellow gold replating on a 14k white gold ring) has worn off much faster than when I have had it previously done (within just a few days of wear), meaning the layer of replating was very thin.

The whole thing has just caused unessecary stress on my honeymoon, and I'm now taking the ring to a better metal worker to have the rings fixed and reinforced.

Considering I paid £156 plus return postage I don't feel particularly happy with the quality of the work. I won't be a return customer, sorry.

I needed a ring resized and I found this business online. The service was easy to use and they responded quickly to my queries. The process was reasonably quick, and I felt the pricing was very fair, especially as my daughter had a similar job done at a high street jewellers and was not impressed by price or service. I sent away two bracelets one silver to be cleaned and re strung and another gold to have the fastening repaired. From the moment I made the enquiry to sending them off and receiving them back the work completed, service and communication was excellent and can thoroughly recommend Jewellery Doctor.

Envelope sent out fast with easy instructions to follow, sent my ring back and had a quote within a few days, price was very fare and my ring was sent back very quickly what a great service. Much better and quicker than using my local jeweller's highly recommended.

My links of London sweetie bracelet is very sentimental to me and I was devastated when the string snapped. I contacted jewellery doctor and they explained the whole process to me. Cautiously I send it off as advised and they explained how long they would have it for. I received an email a few weeks later and I was told when it would be delivered. I recently found an old silver cross with a broken chain which I hadn’t seen for many years among the clutter of my life, so I was delighted to find Jewellery Doctor online with their innovative and very efficient service. They repaired and cleaned my cross and chain, it now looks as good as the day my dear departed wife gave it to me. It has little financial value, but huge sentimental and nostalgic value, and Jewellery Doctor’s care and consideration was second to none.
