unable to use my jawbone up3 since 1 week after purchase as the band keeps unclipping. Applied for a free activity clip but there website says i've already applied for one - which I hadn't!! Sent 5 complaint emails over the past ten months and have yet to receive a single reply. I wouldn't buy another product from this company - I may as well have burnt the money i spent on my up3. Can't believe such a big company has non-existent customer service. I am now going to get in touch with trading standards as I feel this poor service for a product I can't use is unacceptable.
I'd read the reviews noting the poor …
I'd read the reviews noting the poor band clasp (it is, an engineer designed this? Naw, no way). The poor battery life. Mine at the beginning
got 5 days and currently (when it works) gets between 3 and 4 days. And finally the poor customer service, which I found to be the case.
I took my chances as wanted a decent sleep tracker and found out that the negative reviews were spot on. The point I would like to highlight
is that Jawbone knows how bad their customer service is and does not care. If ever there were a reason for a company to sink beneath the waves
it would be one that does not care about the people who buy their products. That would be the case for Jawbone. So if you do choose to buy
I recommend you do so wilth eyes wide open knowing at best it's a crap shoot.
DO NOT buy an UP2 fitness band
DO NOT buy an UP2 fitness band, customer service is very poor.
I bought an UP2 activity tracker and it stopped working after 7 months.
I contacted customer services who refused to replace the activity tracker even though it was in warranty as I was told I had not purchased the product from an authorized dealer - Amazon.
After several emails, they eventually agreed to replace the product, however within 6 months the wristband snapped.
I contacted customer services again on several occasions and received no reply.
I eventually received a reply after 5 months only to be told the warranty did not apply as I had not purchased the product from an authorised retailer.
I explained the activity tracker that I had an issue with had been shipped by Jawbone and sent them the shipping documents I had received and Amazon had not shipped the product.
However they were not interested in replacing the product and closed the case.
Several family and friends who had bought the same product had the same issue with the wristband snapping.
Very poor service...warning to …
Very poor service...warning to potential buyers of an UP band...please read the following...
"We are aware that many retailers do sell our products. When processing a warranty claim, we can only honor those retailers that are authorized. In the near future, It will help by reviewing the manufacturer's website and authorized retailers. When making purchases from an unauthorized retailer and decide to have a warranty added to your product, usually your warranty is from that retailer.
We're so sorry to hear of your poor experience with your Jawbone product and/or our prior customer support system." Jawbone Care.
Absolute joke..
Jawbone are a shambles
To my surprise customer support contacted me recently, some nine months after I had contacted them. I had almost given up having notified them that my jawbone UP2 wrist band had snapped. The original went wrong in three months and this was the replacement and now this was unusable. I had not received a reply to my previous emails to them and was met with silence so I was very surprised that they had only now decided to get back to me. They said they had a wonderful new customer support system in place but hadn't transferred my records across so didnt have any idea of my customer history with them or that they had replaced the original UP2, purchased in march 2016. They then asked for proof of purchase for the original which I eventually managed to track down because it had been given as a gift. They now tell me that my warranty is not valid because they say it had been bought through an unauthorised source and that unauthorised source is Amazon! I hope Amazon realise they are an unauthorised supplier. So despite having replaced the original UP2, this replacement was through their source , they say my UP2 warranty isn't recognised. What a sham and shambles Jawbone are. I strongly recommend that you think twice about buying anything from Jawbone unless you want to buy a product that will probably go faulty every three months and then you will have to deal with a bunch of faceless individuals who dare to call themselves customer support, who really don't bother to help in any way. They really don't seem to worry about the sorry reputation that Jawbone have and in this instance a golden opportunity to delight a customer has backfired badly. I am going to throw my replacement useless Jawbone away complete with withered rubber strap and will never buy a jawbone product again. I strongly urge others to do the same. Very annoyed with the whole rotten experience. They don't deserve a single star but this is the lowest score possible and its the least they deserve.
Very cheap for a fitness tracker
Very cheap for a fitness tracker that isn't too in-your-face. Does what it says on the tin with a good battery life.
Great potential, gone bad
Great tracker, but bad band quality and even worse or rather non-existent customer support after the CEO moved on. A shame, given the potential this had ;(
Best Tracker - Shame about zero loyalty since merger!!!
Jawbone were amazing (great customer care 2yrs ago) however since the merger/sale they have ignored all customer care and I have had same experience as others after my band broke - I didn't hear from them for months then eventually told without proof of invoice wouldn't replace - only had screenshot - not accepted. Before this replaced - no questions asked and even phoned you themselves (prior to merger!!). I have both UP4 and Fitbit Ch2 now (stupidly bought another UP4 as it was 49$ and I love the style and far better accuracy than Fitbit. I now wear both but find Fitbit good in most ways but way overcalculates my steps and sleep data also less accurate compared to Jawbone, hence wearing both. I have written a stinking email to Jawbone re their zero loyalty to customers and telling them to check out their dire reviews!! but will still use my Jawbone purely because it's more accurate for both steps and sleep - it looks better too but sadly that came at expense - it tends to break after 9 months (superglue sorts it). At $49 they are a steal at moment (stock left prior to merger/takeover I guess) but I quite understand why no one else wants one. Ive used UP for 4 years but if a better option comes along I will move on.
Jawbone = Scammers (avoid at all cost)
Unbelievably horrible experience with this company after purchasing several bracelets for myself and family members. Last October (2016) my bracelet stopped working, so I contacted Jawbone for a replacement. The claim was supposedly being processed. I even received a confirmation email with a reference #. A month later, after not having received the replacement, I tried to contact them again. At that point, I stopped receiving any responses to emails and their phone support ceased to exist, literally. No one answering calls, no way to leave a message, just an automated voice saying they were unavailable. This was the case for 6 months, so I gave up hope that I would be receiving my replacement and seriously thought the company had closed down.
Fast forward to July 2017. After months of ignoring my emails and shutting down all phone support, I receive an email from Jawbone stating "If you still need assistance, please click the button below to submit your updated request." I forward all past emails, including the initial confirmation with the reference # provided for my replacement... only to get the run around for weeks and, ultimately, told that I cannot receive my replacement without proving the bracelet is still under warranty (which it's not because Jawbone waited 9 MONTHS to try to resolve my issue.)
This has been the most infuriating experience and I will never purchase another Jawbone product. I will be telling everyone I know what my experience has been. I will spread the word on social media sites, product review sites like Amazon, and anywhere else I can possibly think of letting people know that they should AVOID JAWBONE at all cost. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and anything else I can think of to warn people of this scammer company.

Have read the other 1 star reviews and …
Have read the other 1 star reviews and can only agree. My UP3 band split after a couple of weeks light use (I'm 68) and it took me 8 months to get the reply:
It appears the retailer from which your tracker was purchased is not an authorised seller of Jawbone products. Unfortunately, due to this circumstance, your tracker cannot be replaced under our one-year limited warranty.
This after 8 months of e-mails etc. The level of customer support is abysmal.
Before the UP 3 I had a Fit Bit on which the band started to bubble - Fit Bit sent me a replacement on 2 occasions no questions asked. This was obviously a kn own problem but...........
Jawbone now have my money and my UP 3. Pretty disappointing.

I Have been trying to contact Jawbone …. Not getting any help after 10 month
I Have been trying to contact Jawbone customer service for past 10 month. I did not get any respond until I filed a complain on the site resolver onJune 2017.after that I got an email from support at jawbonecare saying:

I am very frustrated with this kind of behaviour and I am looking now to take my complain to higher level consumer right departments and online complaint company links.
Shocking service
Shocking service. I purchased the Jawbone Up24 and in less than a year it's broken and won't charge.
I have emailed 5 times this week and with absolutely no response.
Disgusting, I will never be purchasing from company again.

Extremely bad customer service!
Extremely bad customer service!! I was a happy user, till my bracelet broke and I never got a reply from customer service... This was nearly a year ago, recently received an email with their apologies and now nothing again...
Worst Customer Service of ANY company in existance (Putting a man on the moon is easier than getting a response from Jawbone!)
Received a U3 as a gift on my Birthday January 2016. Within three months it stopped working and after finally getting ahold of a customer service rep from Jawbone (Putting a man on the moon is easier), a new band was sent. By early January 2017 (while still under the year warranty) my band split in half. As of this date I have been unsuccessful in receiving a response from anyone at Jawbone regarding a replacement. My children have had similar issues and went to Fit-Bit. I'm old school and am holding out that a reputable company responds to its customers and makes good on their warranties. Unfortunately, my patience is almost at an end and I'm ready to join my children with a Fit-Bit.
The bracelet is damaged after 3 months …
The bracelet is damaged after 3 months of wearing. The Jawbobe does not response for repairing!
Three once loyal and happy users will be gone due to terrible customer care
We have been using their UP trackers for several years, constantly upgrading them, and were pretty happy particularly, with their activity and sleep applications. Well, that all ended late 2016 when my UP4's band (still under warranty) broke in half. Long story short, I'm still waiting for a replacement, and like many (all?!) here, I keep receiving automated responses that repeat the same useless stuff. Worse customer service ever, I'd rate them a Zero if I could.
If I could give 0 stars I would!
The complete lack of customer care is astounding. I contacted customer service in November 2016. I received an AUTOMATED response in July 2017 saying they are sorry for my trouble and to submit a proof of purchase. I explain why I don't have the proof of purchase (since it has been 8 months since the issue started and I had no response from them) and I keep getting the same automated response. Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
