Stranded,

We book a return ticket on the 8pm from mainland to our hotel on the island, arrived at 7pm sat for almost a hour to find they had cancelled the ferry, as more turn up they closed the doors and lock up, we was stranded with no passport, cards, money with no way to get back to the hotel, they just did not care , next ferry 9am next day with no where to stay, DO NOT RELY ON THIS SERVICE TO GET YOU BACK

Find alternatives

clearance between two cars, we would have lost our place in line because we were also blocked from behind by a chain used to close the waiting area. The unrefined, unfiltered diesel pollution in the port area where we were supposed to wait was thick (that stuff is toxic, so try to stay away as much as possible!). From Brac (Supetar) to Split, there was no clear indication of where to wait as there are two ferry docks. We had to go to their front desk to ask since there was no one to direct us, and this was 45 minutes before the ferry arrived. When we began to embark, I asked an employee to direct our car to the lower deck since it's wide, but he ignored us and directed us to the upper deck. The climb to the upper deck is extremely narrow (with only 1 cm on either side if you don't fold your mirrors), which I knew from our trip to the island. This poses a high risk of damaging your car (watch out and fold your mirrors!). On the passenger decks, people were smoking next to the open doors, and the smoke is getting into the non-smoking areas. Therefore there are no true smokeless areas. Some of the seats and tables were dirty with liquid spilled on them. No safety or evacuation instructions were brought to our attention by any crew member, and there was no reserved seating. The air conditioning was working inside and there was a toilet. The ferry left on time for us based on the particular ferry we wanted to catch, but this was only because we anticipated crowds and were already sitting in line 1.5 hours before the scheduled departure time.

A mess

Took the ferry twice and both times the ferry was filthy. The staff guiding the vehicles were unfriendly. It’s unclear where you are supposted to wait to embark on the ferry.

Disastrous Experience

Disastrous Experience – Completely Unreliable and Unprofessional

We bought tickets for the Supetar ferry departing at 9:30 AM and arrived half an hour early, only to be told there was no space onboard. No one could tell us whether we’d be able to get on the next ferry at 11:00, 12:00, or even later.

The entire system was chaotic and disorganized. The staff at the port were arrogant, indifferent, and completely unhelpful – even when we explained that we might miss our flight. Their response? “The times don’t really apply,” and “that’s just how it is.”

Selling tickets without guaranteeing a place onboard is unacceptable, and treating travelers with such disregard is even worse. You simply cannot rely on Jadrolinija. I strongly advise others not to trust their schedule or count on their service

What happened to us today with the…

What happened to us today with the ferry from Supetar to Split is incredible. Our son felt hardly on his shoulder and neck and almost cannot move. The doctor on the island gave us an emergency card for the ferry and said that it would leave in 10 minutes and we have to drive him to Split Hospital. But employees of the ferry denied access. They said he must walk and the car now cannot go with this ferry, but has to wait several hours for the next free space. He is now with his friend on the ferry, has to walk and sit although he cannot move and despite the emergency card, he had to pay. Because it was an emergency at the beach, we hope that zhe money we gave him will be enough. Thanks for this really super bad service in case of an emergency!!
Hope to all of them that they would not be treated like this - super unfriendly, no comprehension - if they need help.

0 customer service and 0 pet-friendly

Before booking I asked their customer service about their T&C's concerning the travel for our dog. On their website it states that there are cabins available on international trips. During the booking process I could not select a cabin so I sent them an e-mail asking about the cabin and if this wasn't available, how our dog had to travel. In the first reply, for which I had to wait a whole week, all I got was "there are no cabins on this line." No further explanation so I reached out again and asked about the conditions under which I could bring my dog. Again I got a very short and passive aggressive answer referring me to the FAQ on their website, as if I hadn't read that part and thus cabin to the conclusion that I needed to book a cabin.

The conclusion about traveling with our dog is not only that there are no cabins where he can roam freely, he has to wear a muzzle for 8 hours straight and is not allowed inside so we have to spend the whole trip on the deck.

Sadly, they are the only ones allowing pets on their boats so we had to book with them, hoping that on our travel day, the weather conditions are good and the staff are not heartless and allow our dog to sleep without the muzzle and to eat or drink...

Good Ferry

Good Ferry, bit old sometimes but absolutely OK.
We've done 6 ferry's with Jardolinija in Kroatië. Ticket/info offices available. We've booked also tickets for catamaran; due to storm no catamaran ferry possible. Corporate Rule from Jardolinija is that with a catamaran ferry you can enter every other ferry from Jardolinija. Nice service!

Awful experience

Awful experience, not sure why the ministry for tourism isn't sorting this out. There are clowns working at the docks and the booking system is redundant as it's chaos when you arrive at the port. For such a busy service, it really needs competent people to be working behind the scenes and then some decent people working at the port.

INCREDIBLY RUDE STAFF

We booked a ferry from Supetar to Split and arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes before our scheduled departure. The queue was overwhelming, and the entire process felt disorganized. When we inquired about the delay, the staff responded rudely, yelling at us in Croatian and refusing to listen. To make matters worse, the ferry was overbooked, and we were forced to wait for the next one. It's frustrating that they require you to choose a time slot when booking, yet we still had to wait 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Delay without any explanation

We were on the 8th of July 11:00 ferry from Dubrovnik to Bary. Boat was moving slow from the beginning. Few passengers, restaurant closed, self service open but very poor food, prices sky high. No public announcement of delay, reception said company did not want to. Bar attendant volunteered that docking place was taken by cruise ship, hence delay. At Bari no sign of cruise ship having left, key not usable for cruise ship.
We arrived over 2 hours late. This f-ed up our travel schedule and left us no option but to take an expensive hotel.
Company did not point out the rights of passengers as they should under European law. Will request compensation.

Bought 2x worst smoothies we tried in our lives for 27 euros (+3pastries). Tastes like water with three pieces of fruit in 300ml cup. Dark haired girl that works on Split-Supetar cafe didn’t close the lid properly so the worst smoothie ever went all over me, hat, bag, white shirt, when I came to her and said the lid wasn’t closed and can I get a napkins she gave me side eye and gave 3 napkins, had to ask three Times for more to clean your floors and chairs until she turned to me all mad and grabbed all the napkins in the box and pushed it to me. Woah :D In Such situations please refund or say Sorry at least, horrible prices and customer support

Really rude staff member who I assume…

Really rude staff member who I assume was the captain as he called it “my ship”. We dragged our bags up the gangway at the rear of the ship 25 minutes prior to departure time. Next thing we are being yelled at and told to get off “my ship”. I said well “thanks for being so nice about it” and dragged our bags back down the gangway on to the wharf. The “captain” then comes out and in an aggressive manner says why did you enter. I explained that there was no one on the wharf, no rope across the entrance to the gangway and no sign of any type saying don’t enter. So in exactly the same way as we had entered the ship one week earlier in Split, walked up the gangway and then entered the ship. He then said we may enter so, no more than 2 minutes after being ordered off the ship we were permitted to enter so we dragged the bags back up. Not great considering I have a disability.
Some lessons in customer relations wouldn’t go astray.

Edit: unless the ship operates on AI he wasn’t the Captain as we have now left Vis and Mr Aggro was wandering around the deck. Other passengers approached us to see if we were ok and can substantiate the way we were treated.

Marco Polo

We would like to thank the boarding crew of the Marco Polo, for their patience and help with our boarding; we have a large motorhome and we tow a small car on an a-frame; all vehicles must reverse onto the ferry, but we can’t do it with the a-frame; the crew let us unhitch the car and reverse the motorhome and car separately; we were so grateful that there was no fuss or negative attitudes
We highly recommend the whole experience; clean ferry, clean comfortable cabin and en-suite; good food

Bad company

Bad company, they cancel our travel and was the only company with this problem, the others company’s go to the destination. I never repeat the buy with them. We spent more money (DUBROVNIK)

Rudeness and threatening behaviour towards an elder woman by crew member

While on the ferry, I managed to speak to someone about the situation. I would like to thank the bar personnel, who very kindly listened to me and contacted the relevant person for me to talk to. And the onboard electrician, who was incredibly nice and even got the car out of the garage and off the ferry for me! Thankfully the car did not have issues climbing the ramp. Still very upset about the initial treatment of this morning, but grateful for these other crew members’ help afterwards.

Having recently had some issues with the engine of my car, I politely asked when boarding not to put the car in the lower garage of the ferry, as I was worried it might not be able to climb the ramp when getting off the ferry. One of the members of the crew who were assisting the boarding was incredibly rude about this request: he started yelling at me, and took an intimidating and threatening stance by opening the door of my car without my consent, and taking me out of the car. He then proceeded to sit down and drive my car into the lower garage.

This is unacceptable. My request was polite and out of genuine concern, the response of the crew member was exaggerated and completely inappropriate, especially in the way it was taken towards an elder woman. In fact, I felt that his reaction was clearly discriminatory, as I believe this would not have happened had there been a man in the car - I saw how this person dealt with male customers on the ferry before and afterwards, and it had nothing to do with how he treated me.

Moreover, there ended up being space for only one car in the lower garage - it was closed after my car was brought down - while the upper one was completely empty. So I believe my request to be placed on the upper garage could have easily been satisfied and not blown out of proportion as it was.

I am currently on the ferry, and I have absolutely no intention to get the car out of the lower garage when we get to Split. I did not take responsibility to bring it down there, so I also will not take responsibility to bring it back up. And if anything happens to the car while on the ferry, or when getting off, I will submit the damages to Jadrolinija.

On the ferry they charge €4.50 for a 600ml bottle of coke. What a scam. Shame on your company for taking advantage of people.

I am still waiting for my refund

I am still waiting for my refund. Jadrolinija did apologize for slow management, but after more than a month I am still waiting for the refund. Now that want me to send proof of booking and I did sent my booking nr. and payment proof from creditcard, actually never received a ticket.. Now they need my ticket to refund they say...
