Walked in to Tottenham Ct

Walked in to Tottenham Ct. Road branch today without a booking at this branch. I was seen straight away by Jinay. I can’t praise his customer service skills enough, he was so helpful to me and my phone is like new again. Fantastic service and I fully recommend him.

Superior and professional

What an outstanding service quick no fuss or setbacks made the appointment to get an iPhone 13 screen replacement booked in at 4:30 as requested make sure to be there 5 to 10 minutes early got there handed over the phone with only a 30 minute wait the phone was fully fixed after talking with the technician they asked about the phone and how quickly the phone charged and telling them that it’s been sitting in a drawer for three years that was a surprise to them how quickly the phone charged the battery with it sitting for so long without being used the overall experience and work was incredible and since the repair had zero issues the screen and phone has worked flawlessly if you need any phone fixed i highly recommend you choose ismash over any cheap repair shop

Screen protector replacement on phone

Researched location for screen protector replacement while having a coffee in Newcastle. Easily found shop in Eldon Square. No queue, the lad in store knew exactly what I needed and the replacement was done in less time than my wife spent waiting to pay for an item in the store across the way. Very pleased with the job 5*

Quick and convenient service at the expense of quality

I had my 18 month old lightly cracked iPhone screen replaced prior to a work trip (priced at £79). It became totally unresponsive the following day, luckily fixed by a hard reset - this continues to happen in clusters. Prior to returning to the UK to get this fixed, I dropped the phone once and the screen totally cracked top to bottom - significantly worse than any iPhone I have had over the last 10+ years where I've kept each phone for 3-4 years.

When I returned to store to ask what screen was used I was sheepishly told all their screens come in a white label box and there is no way to identify the brand/article/quality. Customer service emails assure me they are all 'high quality aftermarket parts' but also now offer a genuine Apple replacement at the higher cost of £159.

The screen used on this replacement was clearly much weaker than the original and is faulty as repeatedly freezes but due to the crack is now out of warranty.

- Why is the Apple screen replacement not offered in the first instance?!
- Why is there no way to tell me what brand or type of screen was fitted?! All manufacturing has variations.

Sadly, I have no trust in returning here to pay again for their Genuine Apple replacement - it's the same cost as visiting Apple, who I should have entrusted in the first place. Quick and convenient service at the expense of quality!

Worst experience of my life

Worst experience of my life. They damaged my phone worse than it was and returned it to. Then promised to order parts to a nearby location after I’d travelled 1 hour to fix the screen. Followed up that promise by not getting the order delivered, not answering emails or calls, had to go to the store 4 times to get an update; informed it was not there yet and no one could help. I gave them a functioning phone with a small crack and now have no functioning phone whatsoever. Theyve cracked the screen more and detatched it so it doesnt work at all. No one to call or email except generic customer service who promised to fix it but have yet to. Horrific experience. Was finally sent to another location an hour away , booked an appointment, and they didnt have the pieces either. Spent a whole day in Harrow making my phone worse, 3 days in stratford waiting for the pieces to arrive then a whole day in white city . Should never use this service!!!

Booked an appointment online at…

Booked an appointment online at Bluewater to have my Samsung Ultra screen fixed, only to get there and be told that they could not do it as they did not have the tools. It would have been great to know this before going in as when booking appointment you select what phone is damaged. They were kind enough to direct me to Fone World within blue water where I was able to get the screen fixed in 40 minutes and for £20 less.

Refurbished phone was faulty

Purchased a refurbished phone that seemed fine to begin with and then started repeatedly turning itself off. Had to send it back at my own cost & took weeks for them to agree to a refund. Waited another 2 weeks but still haven't received the refund and cannot get further response from customer service. Will never purchase from ismash again.

Excellent service from Dias at Glasgow Buchanan Street branch.

My iPhone 13 Pro Max charge dock had failed and was having to use a MagSafe charger. The Apple Store only repair the dock as a refurbished exchange at £640. I booked a service on line at iSmash and got an appointment same day.

I was attended to by Dias who spoke very clearly, which was important as I am deaf. He explained the job and what was involved. He checked to see if lint in the port was the cause of the problem, which would have simple to remove without replacing the dock (I had already done this so was expecting it needed replaced.)

I then asked about the battery, which was 4 years old and was showing 83% of original capacity. I wondered if it would be be worth replacing that at the same time. With no hard sell, he explained that many people would get more use out of the battery at that level. However, I often use the GPS for navigation and take a lot of photos and videos on remote trips, so I had been finding I needed to recharge the phone with a power bank in late afternoon.

I decided to go ahead with battery replacement as well. I had a £10 gift code for two services (at the same time) from the iSmash appointment email, so the total cost for the two jobs was £138 compared with the £640 Apple would have charged for a refurbed unit.

Dias said the time for two jobs would be about 2 hours as he wanted to check it was charging properly after the repair. It was ready in exactly two hours.

The phone is now charging normally and, as far as I can tell, battery life between charges is looking very promising.

Terrible post sales customer service

A screen replaced on an iPhone 12 became faulty after just a few days. I returned the phone to the store in Canary Wharf this morning and was told that they would not replace the screen as, in their opinion, the issue was down to impact damage despite explaining to them that the phone had not been dropped. I am extremely disappointed by their poor attitude to post sales customer service and will not be using their services again. For the prices they charge I would expect far better service!

Avoid at all costs

The London Tottenham Court Road store was truly terrible. Brought my phone in for an on the day battery replacement appointment. I waited 2 hours instead of the promised 1 hour repair, and during that time they broke the display and they wanted to give it back the next day. Instead of emailing me the next day to tell me, they made me come in to the store to tell me they couldn't fix it and had to send it away for repairs. And now, after all this, the camera flash is not working. Truly abysmal service, will never use this company again.

Booked a battery replacement for my…

Booked a battery replacement for my s23U and from the moment I got it back, which was fairly quickly, the phone has been struggling with network connectivity. Most times it needs a reset to pick up network/data which doesn't seem to doing it anymore and it's pretty much a wifi tablet now. They basically critically damaged the main antenna. Have provided them with this feedback and no response since then.
Update: Have since sent the device to samsung to be checked and I was told that a few main components such as antenna and motherboard are damaged and to top it up, the battery is a non official one. Amounting to a repair cost of £470. This is pure FRAUD and it seems to be backed by Samsung themselves
