I have used Driver Updater for years

I have used Driver Updater for years, its my go-to program i always install on my clients computers to make sure the correct drivers are installed-especially SMB drivers that frequently do no install correctly using just Microsoft Windows Update!

They produce good software that really works and does what they say it will

Firstly, even though Trustpilot say:

"No history of asking for reviews
This company hasn't invited their customers, so reviews may not be representative"

I am here because IObit just requested today, Wednesday, 24th June 2026, that I make a review here on Trustpilot and this was after the latest update to one of their softwares.

Secondly, I have used all of their softwares at one time or another since 2009, which is 17 years.

I started using their free softwares first because I was broke but after my fortunes changed I started subscribing.

As an Electronics, Radio and Telecommunications and Computer Engineer I can truthfully say their software does everything I want and need it to do.

It is excellent stuff, however, I really dislike that they bundle other softwares from another company called iTop, (which is probably just an offshoot of IObit), into their new version updates.

They have all the install checkboxes for the bundled iTop products already ticked, so if you don't really pay attention to the installer on screen you can end up installing 2 - 3 unsolicited and probably unwanted and unneeded extra programs.

Other than that I can't fault them as their customer service responds reasonably quickly and usually within 24 hours and if there are any problems they sort it as quick as possible by you downloading inspection programs to analyse whichever software is possibly faulty, then uploading the results for them to analyse and give you guidance on what to do next.

I couldn't possibly give them five stars due to the bundling of software during updates which I detest, but other than that they produce good software that really works and does what they say it will.

This will break your Windows PC

If you like keeping your drivers up to date, but not being able to use your PC and spending hours fixing what it has inflicted on you, buy Driver Booster. Otherwise, save your money. It blue screens every custom PC I run it on every single time without fail (only my 2). Sometimes, you get lucky and it reboots okay. Most other times, it continuously fudges you for many uninstalls, rollbacks and general insanity. Avoid at all cost.

Very rude service

I rang with a simple question and received a very rude person the other end.He wanted remote access to my computer and when I showed concern he just moaned and hung up.Having read the reply I thank IOBIT for informing me I may have contacted a scammed and I am therefore glad I refused access to my computer. The software IOBIT provide is excellent and I will continue to use it with confidence.

Been using Driver booster for 10 years.

I have been using driver booster for about 10 years now and they have only gotten better. I love the "Fix incompatible drivers" tab, it has fix my other laptop that was having issues.

Perfect

Perfect. No, more than perfect. By using IObit pruduct you can use your computer very long time and don't need to a mechanic. But payment is problematic.

IOBit's Driver Updater Pro is not…

IOBit's Driver Updater Pro is not reliable. I updated the drivers on my Microsoft Laptop and now the keyboard and touchpad no longer work.
I have attempted to work with Tech Support but they are in China so communications are very slow and their suggestions to resolve the issue do not work.
They have had me gather data several times but they don't seem to understand or care about providing a program that will actually fix my laptop.

Not sure why people complain about this…

Not sure why people complain about this app, I have used it for over 2-3 years every time I have to do a fresh install or build a new PC. I opted to pay for the premium for no ads and it’s day and night of being able to update all your drivers at once. If you expect free , there’s going to be drawbacks (ads) but I’ve been using all their programs through a bundle. When I used all my licenses and wasn’t aware cause I had to do a full reset of my pc customer support was able to help me with no problems and questions asked, they even followed up with me to see if it worked correctly.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SOFTWARE

Never install or recommend drivers that are not fully verified for the specific hardware.
Your application prompted me to install a missing driver, which I followed. After installing it, my AMD Radeon RX 570 graphics card stopped functioning correctly.
Immediately after the update:
The GPU showed “Code 43” in Device Manager
The display driver failed to load
Refresh rate options disappeared
The system became unstable and partially unusable
Before using your application, the system was fully stable.
I had to perform multiple recovery steps including a clean DDU uninstall in Safe Mode and reinstalling official AMD drivers just to partially restore functionality, but the issue started directly after your driver update suggestion.
This is not an isolated case. Do not get me started on how many users have reported similar problems or even worse system failures after using this software.
I strongly recommend staying away from this application when it comes to driver installation, as it can lead to serious system instability and incorrect hardware detection.
This behavior should be reviewed and corrected immediately.

After 12 months they gave me 15 mins…

After 12 months they gave me 15 mins warning about my sub running out then 15 mins later billed me £73 for services they have on sale on there site for £30.... why not renew at the lower price that way peoplee might keep there sub going
