DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE IF OUTSIDE THE EU

I recently placed an order for an item I could have bought in the US but which was discounted on this website and "appeared" to be cheaper even with intenrational shipping. However, upon delivery I was asked to pay over $100 to have the item delivered, which was never clearly stated when I checked out and ended up making the item even more expensive than had I ordered directly from anyone in the US. I refused the parcel initially as I tried to negotiate with the customer service and understand even why the customs charge was being applied. When they finally got back to me days later to say that they would not help at all with the customs charge and that "their website states that customs duties MAY be charged and were the responsibility of the customer" I offered to pay the customs fee if they could reroute the package back to me. Instead they allowed the package to be returned to them and instead of issuing a full refund, only issued a partial refund with over $130 missing, which is beyond what the stated shipping charge even was. I just want to have them ship the item back so that I am not paying for an item I never received but so far they have refused to work with me on resending the item. If they know customs duties are going to be applied for international shipments they need to state this clearly in their website so a customer can consider this charge when checking out and not be surprised by it later. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE And SCAMMY WEBSITE!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Again my main qualm is the wording of "MAY BE" charged a customs charge rather than a definitive, "YOU WILL BE" charged. The fact that this is not clear makes it a HUGE surprise to the customer and their lack of accountability for misrepresenting this information is what myself and numerous other customers have issue with. In addition, the item I ordered should have not been subject to as high of a customs charge and there was absolutely no transparency as to how this was calculated. Until these systemic issues are fixed, this company is a complete scam, probably getting some kickback from UPS.

We are a legitimate business operating transparently and in full compliance with all applicable regulations. Publicly labeling a company as fraudulent without factual basis is a serious matter and may have legal consequences.
Regarding your order, we would like to reiterate that, prior to purchase, our website clearly indicates that shipments outside the EU may be subject to customs duties and import taxes. These charges are determined exclusively by the destination country’s customs authorities and are entirely outside of our control. For this reason, they are correctly described as charges that may apply, as they are not imposed by us nor predictable in advance.
As is standard with international shipping, customs fees must be paid within the timeframe established by the courier. In your case, the parcel was already in the return process by the time you confirmed your willingness to pay, and at that stage rerouting is not possible under courier policies.
Once the parcel was returned to us, a refund was issued in accordance with our terms and conditions. The deducted amount reflects return shipping costs and handling fees incurred due to the refusal of the shipment.
We understand that unexpected customs charges can be frustrating. However, we cannot accept claims that misrepresent our business practices or suggest misconduct where none has occurred.

Beware! - Estimated costs were off by 40 euros.

Order a Jacket - estimated costs were off by 40 euros.
only after arriving to my country was the the additional costs added by UPS and these were much higher than what was presented on the payment page on Inwild.
Wouldn't recommend. Ended up being more expensive than any other website and the quality is probably not the same.

Shipping is from Italy, therefore for extra EU customers duty fees apply to the parcel when it reaches the customs of the country of destination.

We are sorry to hear that the custom charges have inflated the price of your purchase, however unfortunately custom procedures are out of our control and therefore we cannot advise clients in advance how much the additional fees will be.
The import taxes are collected by the courier on behalf of the customs. However we do advise in the cart that shipping is from EU and that for clients outside the European Union there will be additional costs at the time of delivery.

Beware if ordering from the UK!

Beware if ordering from the UK! I ordered a Patagonia jacket (£160) from inwild as it was a little cheaper than all of the other stores online, I realised there was a good chance I may have to pay VAT on top when the item arrived. When the jacket finally did arrive 2 weeks later (delivery was advertised as 3/4 days) I had to pay £62 extra in VAT and charges, WAY more than the 20% VAT i was expecting. Customer service emails take between 2 and 5 days each time to be answered meaning a conversation is frustratingly slow.

Its seems very unfair for a company to do its best to attract UK based customers (.co.uk address etc) knowing full well the fees that will be added AFTER purchase make their products none competitive with other online stores.

Unfortunately your parcel has been stopped in customs and it has been held for days for clearance. We are sorry for the delay, however Inwild or the courier cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs.
Since the parcel is shipped from Italy, for orders destined outside EU there are custom fees to be paid. We advise in the cart that there might be additional charges when the parcel reaches your country.
The amount of custom fees cannot be predicted by Inwild, since we do not have influence over custom authorities.

Ordered from the UK - No worries

Ordered from the UK. Was a bit worried about delays or additional charges (taxes) but needn't have been concerned - the whole process was faultless: Placed order/despatch same day, tracking number sent with easy link to check, and goods arrived 2 days faster than estimate with no additional taxes or duties. Altogether exactly as you would hope - product is perfect, exactly what I wanted/ordered and seamless from start to finish.
