In The Swim was founded in 1982 by a husband and wife team. Shipping chlorine from the back of their garage and taking orders on their front porch, they began to have a vision that this could be something big. As the quantities of their orders increased, so did the loyalty of their customers. Before long, In The Swim relocated to a larger facility and hired their first employees to answer the phone. As In The Swim’s customers grew in number, so did the product selection. One star is too high for the type of…

One star is too high for the type of service this company provides to their customers. I purchased a Haywood pool pump through In the Swim and immediately discovered water leaking out of the motor end of the pump. I sent a video to their customer service and requested they send a new pump. They provided me two options a day later; pay $ 185 to have someone come out and repair, or contact the manufacturer directly. I am now without a pump and most likely will not receive the replacement from Haywood for a few weeks. Pool is now green and cannot be used for at least 3 - 4 weeks. I will never recommend or refer anyone to this company.

I ordered a solar cover and received a…

I ordered a solar cover and received a Pool Sand Filter worth 7 to 8 times the cost of my cover. I advised them to pick up and replace with my cover. Said too heavy for me to move as a senior citizen and in my front yard in grass. Said FedEx picking up, they came and refused to take need FedEx ground. They are refusing to send my solar cover until this is returned and with all the negative issues, I have found out about on credits and returns they cannot be trusted. I have filed a complaint with Amazon refusing to correct, telling me they don't trust me when I advised sent item that is 7-8 times the cost of my order and refusing to ship correct item and wants me to reorder so they can charge me again. Who is the least trustworthy here. They don't trust me, I don't have all these negative reviews. I am the one who told them a 700- 800 dollar item sent not a 90.00 dollar item I requested. Shame on them for an honest person reporting this.

Verification for chlorine and a cover. WOW

Ordered chlorine and a leaf cover. Got an email from customer service asking for alternate emails & phone numbers for either myself or people in my household in order to “verify” my order. Absolutely no need for that, nor should they be asking for anyone else’s information who has nothing to do with the order. Customer service is a joke, can’t speak to anyone in the “verification department” because they only operate via email. I’m sorry, I’d like to verify their alternative email or phone numbers too, what’s right is right. Just do business with any of the other pool supply companies. Place is a joke.

Lousy customer service this year

Wrong chlorine shipped. Got runaround on warranty claim for solar cover bubbles peeling off. Spoke to several reps until one finally said claim was denied. NO EXPLANATION WHY. Never had so much trouble in the past.We'll order from Doheny

Less than 1 Star

Less than 1 Star. They are THE WORST. I will NEVER buy from them again. They CHARGED my Credit Card Twice!!! Shorted one of my Items, sent me 3 instead of the 4 items I Ordered and Paid for. I returned an item , and they refunded for a Different Less expensive item.
They are The worst company I have ever dealt with !!!!

I would give this company zero stars if…

I would give this company zero stars if possible. I bought an upgraded solar cover one year ago. Used it for a few months last summer and it started falling apart. This summer it does not even hold together and they will not uphold their warranty. Ridiculous. My pool chemicals are always balanced, and our solar covers usually last several years. This is a faulty product, which they no longer even sell. Customer service told me they could offer me 25% towards a new cover. Not enough. Terrible customer service. DO NOT buy from them.

I spent $500 on a Dolphin E10 and 32…

I spent $500 on a Dolphin E10 and 32 days later they will not help or support a return. Their customer service agents suck. Do yourself a favor and walk into a store and purchase items. Because In The Swim is no help!

FRAUD AND FALSE ADVERTISING, DO NOT PURCHASE HERE,

Company lied, they have false advertising and are comitting fraud. durig the checkout process they promise the item to be delievered by a certain date. you agree to this and pay for the item. the next day they send you a email saying that there is a delay in the shipping, but refuse to issue a refund and cancel the order.

Don’t follow their own price match promises!I’ve used ITS for over 20 years…

I’ve used ITS for over 20 years successfully. However I needed to purchase a new pool heater and held off for a price decrease during the winter months without success. Finally on March 12, 2025 I placed an order for a 250,000 btu heater for $3,300. They shipped within a couple days, and I received it within 4 days.

The day I received the heater, I found the exact same heater, shipped by intheswim on Amazon offering a 10% discount (that’s $330 off!). I contacted IntheSwim and requested that they provide me with the discounted price that I had purchased 4 days earlier. - They REFUSED!

Every buyer should be aware that they DO NOT HONOR THEIR OWN PRICE MATCHING POLICIES! I will avoid them from now on and suggest that everyone else should beware!

In the Swim is billing my Affirm account with fraudelent charges. I called to see if they could help me and they would not help me. DON'T USE THIS PLACE THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOUR ACCOUNT. I will now call the police.

In the Swim fails to honor warranty

I purchased an In the Swim solar pool cover for my pool 16x32 for $189.95 +tax on 12-21-22. The cover has a 7-year prorated warranty. The cover began falling apart a few months back and pieces were getting in the pool and thus in the filter etc. It was causing a mess so I took to the county trash center. I found the warranty sheet which showed full replacent the first 2 years thus I am due a free replacement. I contacted In the Swim and was told that I had to have photos of the defective cover. It's gone so no photo. So they said no replacement and order another. No thanks. Warranty useless. Doesn't say you have to have photo. I've bought several of these covers over the years but this was the most inferior one ever and the company that sold it is not to trusted. Oh it was an Amazon order so they dropped the ball too.

Purchased and ultimate 3000 pool cover…

Purchased and ultimate 3000 pool cover last year. Worked fine. Put it on this year and it leaks. No obvious tears or rips. Must be seam malfunction. Followed the instructions on filing a warranty claim sent pictures as requested and they denied my claim saying it appears it is a tear. It is not a tear it is a product malfunction at the seam. No way anyone can tell

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I thought buying a bulky item like a diving board from amazon was a great idea due to the shipping. However the board arrived past the original delivery date (missing Labor Day weekend which we specifically bought it for) and it was damaged. The company then accused me of lying about the damage.
