No payment for over 3 months services
I am a Virtual Assistant from the Philippines, and I provided virtual assistance services to Jacob the owner of Internet-Connection from July to September 2024. We agreed on the terms of the work and payment via written communication. Despite delivering the work on time and as agreed, I have not been paid for my services, totaling $810 US dollar, for over three months now.
I’ve sent multiple follow-ups via email and other platforms, including a final reminder in November, but I’ve received no response. I’ve also sought assistance from relevant authorities, including NSW Fair Trading, the Community Justice Centres, and the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, to resolve this issue.
As a freelancer working hard to support myself, this experience has been deeply disappointing. I hope this feedback encourages Jacob to settle the payment and improve their approach to handling agreements and communication in the future.
