Before working with Inspired Minds, both of my children were at very different levels and faced their own unique hurdles. Their biggest struggle was a heavy reliance on "guesswork"; instead of reading the letters, they would try to predict words based on the first letter or the pictures, which led to a lot of frustration.

The most beneficial part of our experience has been how Clare and Laura tailored the sessions to each child’s specific needs. They recognized that the children were at different stages and adapted their teaching perfectly. The most effective technique has been teaching them how to "chop up" long words and blend them back together. This structured approach has given them the tools to decode words properly rather than just guessing.

Working with Inspired Minds has been brilliant. Clare and Laura have a real gift for getting the children fully engaged and making the learning process feel like a fun adventure. They handled the different abilities of my children seamlessly, ensuring they both felt supported.

The progress we have seen is incredible. My son left Reception with a score of 9, and in less than nine months, he is now reaching 30/40. He has even received two certificates at school for his fabulous progress in phonics! Seeing them move from guessing to actually reading and watching them confidently blend long words is a massive milestone. Their confidence has soared, and seeing them genuinely enjoy reading now is the best progress we could have asked for.

My daughter is in Year 2 now, and when she started with Inspired Minds Learning about 7–8 months ago, she was in Year 1. Trust me, I had tried more than 15–20 different tutors online and even took free trial lessons with many of them, but I chose Inspired Minds Learning because they were simply the best—both in terms of affordability and the impressive way they teach.

My daughter has Maths lessons on Monday and Wednesday with Zara, who has years and years of experience in both tutoring and school teaching. I must say a huge thank you to her for all her efforts with Amra. It is because of Zara’s dedication and expertise that Amra is now so confident and ahead in Maths. Her school is very happy with her progress.

On Tuesday and Thursday, Julia teaches her Reading/English. With her vast experience in both school and tutoring environments, she puts so much effort into each lesson. The improvement in Amra’s English has been amazing.

I must say, my 7-year-old daughter has learned so much and is now ahead in both Maths and English at school. Her teachers are very pleased with her progress.

My son began attending Inspired Minds Learning in August 2025. Initially, he was struggling with phonics, blending words, and his confidence was not very high.

However, he has made remarkable progress in phonics and word blending, and his confidence has greatly improved. He now enjoys reading books independently and often reads to his sister.

I am very grateful to the teachers at Inspired Minds Learning for all their support and assistance.

We started our journey with Inspired Minds back in February 2025, initially through group sessions for my son. Charlotte quickly recognised that he would benefit more from 1:1 learning and arranged sessions with a fantastic tutor, Tasmeen.

Tasmeen has been incredible at making lessons engaging and fun. My son’s reading has improved leaps and bounds, and we’re now bridging the huge gap he previously had in his phonics knowledge. She has a real knack for drawing him back in whenever he gets distracted or struggles with motivation, which has made such a difference to his progress and confidence.

We are so grateful for the support from both Charlotte and Tasmeen, and would highly recommend Inspired Minds to any parent looking for tailored, caring, and effective support for their child’s learning.

The phonics online lessons has really helped my son with his reading. Charlotte has been amazing – she made the classes fun and engaging, and my son really enjoyed them. We’ve noticed such a big improvement in his phonics and confidence. I’m so grateful for the support she’s given him on his reading journey.

My 6 year old boy started with Inspired Minds in March this year, whilst in year one. I was desperate to find him additional support as he was significantly behind his peers at school, was really struggling to read and had no interest in it.
After a short period of time, his confidence grew and he was willing to read at home with me. He has ASD and really struggles with focus and to stay engaged but both Charlotte and Andrea have been really supportive and encouraging for him and have helped him to progress and grow his confidence with reading.

He really loves the games they play and asks me to play them at home often, this has resulted in him learning more quickly and actually enjoying to read.

I needed support to gain evidence for an application to gain my son further educational support at school and Charlotte kindly wrote me a letter to highlight his struggles and the support she feel he would benefit from. In my eyes, this is completely going above and beyond and I cannot thank you enough.

Can not thank Charlotte enough! She has managed to improve my dyslexic son’s reading ability more in 6 months than the schooling system could in 5 years! Honestly amazing patience, all teachers are really friendly and always on hand to help when needed.. fun and exciting way to give children the love of reading!

I joined Inspired Minds to bridge the gap between the summer and autumn term, as I was fully aware of the possible regression in phonics for my little one. Initially, I only planned to sign up for three months.

In that short time, the progress has been incredible. His reading, blending, and recognition of letter sounds; even the more challenging digraphs have developed so much. The method of teaching is interactive and fun, which makes it so much easier for him to remember sounds and tricky words.

Charlotte, his teacher, has been exceptional. The small online class sizes mean every child has the chance to participate and be heard, and that personal attention has really boosted his confidence. He now approaches reading with excitement rather than hesitation, which has been wonderful to see as a parent.

What I value most is that learning feels enjoyable and natural, not forced. Inspired Minds has made such a difference, and I’m so pleased I made the decision to join.

They are accommodative to setting time for lessons. Daniella gets homework everytime which keeps her on track and the reward system of jojo points and presents keeps my daughter very motivated. To her is work with fun and rewards.

My son started with Inspired Minds unable to blend sounds but since joining he’s been doing so well at blending and doing so confidently.
Charlotte is really good with the kids, she’s so calm which makes the kids so relaxed. Charlotte also tries her best to make the sessions interactive. My son looks forward to getting his weekly dojo points x

My 6 year old boy was struggling with phonics at school and very reluctant to read at home. In 6 weeks of 2 sessions per week with inspired minds, his confidence has growth massively, he looks forward to learning, wants to practice often and is coming on great.

My daughter loves her teacher Charlotte, and reading with her. I have seen positivity in her attitude and learning since we started with Charlotte. My daughter is more confident and happy. She feels safe to express herself and the vibrant attitude she picked up from Charlotte is remarkable. Charlotte is passionate about her work and she gives her 💯 to students and she repeats the lesson countless times so it can really embed in the learning. I can’t remember how many times i went to Charlotte with so many requests about not only reading but writing and every-time she complied. And i love that about her that its not only safe for students but comfortable for parents too. I can recommend charlotte millions times and its not enough.

Before joining Inspired Minds, Leyna didn’t want to blend sounds and only knew the most basic phonics. She would get frustrated easily, and I could tell she felt like she was falling behind. All I really wanted was for her to feel confident and not feel like she had to catch up all the time.

But in just under 12 weeks, the change has been incredible. She’s jumped up several book bands and is now reading fluently—and to my absolute surprise, she’s in the top phonics group in her class! That’s far beyond what I ever hoped for.

The way Charlotte and Erika teach has made all the difference. Their lessons are engaging, clear, and encouraging—something just clicked for Leyna. She’s not only learning, she’s enjoying it. One day she even said, “Mummy, reading is actually fun now!” and my heart just melted.

Working with Charlotte and Erika has been such a joy. They’ve been so kind, helpful, and always there to offer support or answer any questions I have. It’s been such a smooth and positive experience from day one.

Our biggest win has definitely been Leyna’s confidence. Watching her pick up a book on her own and read with a smile on her face has been everything. I can’t thank the Inspired Minds team enough for helping unlock that joy in her.
