As a user there is still much very good free content you can access, although this is becoming more limited with Plus content only available for subscribers. I can still donate to individual teachers.
But it hasn’t been designed with users in mind, they are really pushing people into subscribing now. And there have been some really awful ‘features’ added, like after each meditation a rapidly spinning wheel with minutes meditated that day comes up on the screen, which is really triggering for people with visual sensitivities that come with many medical conditions. It’s the Total opposite to relaxing, more in your face pushy that you get in on line advertisements! I’ll have to stop using the app.

I’ve been charged for a premium annual subscription for two years which I never authorized. I never signed up for a paid subscription. Their phone is disconnected and they have no customer service email or number.

The worse every don't become a teacher on this site they are dictators and steal your copyright work then tell you it isn't approved they insult your photos and very hard to deal with and honestly the app is always crashing. support team is rude and act like they don't know who the teachers and honestly discriminating

I had a free 7 day trial, cancelled it within 24h. They still billed me for a year subscription. Very dodgy.

Fantastic app. I’ve been using it for many years on and off subscription. There is an enormous amount of content that is totally free and of really high quality. In fact I think it’s more generous than any other app of a similar kind and although I don’t subscribe I do donate to teachers of content I use a lot. My only quibble is that I can’t find information on subscription cost for uk, only in dollars and it doesn’t appear to give a monthly cost so maybe this isn’t an option which may be a problem for some people and puts me off committing again. It used to be £2.49 a month and easy to start and discontinue.. more transparency on costing please.

This is the worst meditation site ever. This might be a scam website. They deleted my account without any notice. I didn't even know what my violations are. I was not able to join my daily sessions. Too bad that I paid for a premium account. I tried contacting them, they will not respond to you.

If I could give this website zero stars I would. Signed up as a teacher, but they are more interested in how you represent them in your photograph than your meditation content. They tried to spin it to say that they knocked back my photo because of a filter (yes, I changed the background because the only suitable photo I had which fell into their ridiculously strict guidelines had other people in it and needed to be edited out and really didn't look much different to all the other airbrushed photographs of teachers on there to be fair) .. I really don't want to have my work on a site that is so fixated on something so trivial. When I asked for my account and data to be deleted they said there was no need! When a person asks for their data to be deleted you delete it from your site!! I don't want to be associated with your site! I listened to a few of the recordings on the front page and can't say they are anything special anyway .. probably dodged a bullet in the long run, so thanks insight timer! I will be happy to delete this review when you delete my data!

I have used Insight Timer for around 6 years now and it forms part of my daily practice. Whilst the free content is amazing, I do subscribe because I like the courses and freedom to download my favourites to listen off line. Whether you are new to mindfulness and meditation or not, this is a great platform with some truly amazing teachers.

Last 10+ updates are only for plus members. No issues solved. Standard reply from the Insight Timer is to send a mail. I send a lot of them, incl. screenshots, movies. Now over a year later, almost none are solved. So no, I won't send any emails anymore. But example. Just got disconnected from a live. Tried to return. Live is not in the list anymore.
Inbox messages? You can't delete them.

As a teacher on this app I've had a different experience than some consumers. I have experienced a technical issue with this app and instead of helping or finding a work around, the developers have left me hanging. I've reached out again with the hope of resolving this issue, but I will not hold my breath. I cannot recommend this app for teachers at this time due to this ongoing issue.

This App advertising is breaking all comsumer laws... They advertise it is free, then when you download they offer a 7day free trial but charge you £50.99 for annual subscription after 4 days even though I cancelled the trial as it is not at all providing the type of advise & support I was looking for. Avoid at all costs... Not trustworthy...

I used to really love Insight timer when it was all free, now most of the content is for the 'plus' subscription which one can not afford. I understand they need to make money but it's really disappointing they are making most of the content so you have to pay for it.

I don’t recall giving apple a permission to take payment for this app. I only looked at it and next thing I was charged £55 subscription for the year. I can see other customers had similar experience. It’s a shame because with this attitude you will not go far!

They billed me for a year instead of a month, as I requested when signing up for the one week trial. They did not notify me that the trial was up and I was getting charged so I did not immediately notice that they took a year. I was also unwell until a few days afterwards. A few days later I noticed, and contacted them. They refused to refund it because they said there is a two day cooling off period in which to request refunds which I missed by a day or two. But this was not just because I changed my mind, it was because they charged me £50.99 instead of £4.50ish. I did not say they could, I did not agree to that. So refund it. This has left a bad taste in my mouth, and an unpleasant association with Insight Timer. They told me to take it up with Google but I could not contact Google since the options did not fit the situation. I could only do it if it was inside the two days. I mean what comapany has only a two day period anyway- it ought to be 2-4 weeks. But that feels like a moot point given the issue is wrong billing. Insight Timer support were appalling, reframing my problem as just wanting to pay monthly insead of annually. They are slippery and untrustworthy and not what you expect of a wellbeing organisation, which has been very bad for my wellbeing, incidentally. Not to mention my wallet. I would say, avoid, unless you don't really care what they do with your money.

I was recommended this app as a tool to get asleep. And it totally worked. Easy to follow the teacher's voice just need to find the one you like from the huge range of teachers. Now there is even a whole section with bed time readings. Awesome app.

the best app ever! it's like a social network for students to learn life from best teachers and heal your soul. I like pretty much everything. And mostly the fact that the free version is so rich and multifunctional that you don't feel any lack whatsoever. I totally recommend Davidji, his voice is transcendent!

Insight Timer is a great app if you're looking for free guided meditations and relaxation music. In crazy times like this we definitely need more peace and calmness in our lives. There is so much anger and frustration and struggle. I am a composer for Insight Timer and it's been an absolutely wonderful platform for me to grow my audience and music. They pay monthly and have never missed a payment. if you're a casual user or a teacher, this app is great for either.

Absolutely love it. Easy to search for what I need right now and huge list of different kind of meditations. There are even music files with nature sounds or frequencies.

It is one of the best experiences I had with the app. My first voice-love was DaVidji. His meditations and his deep voice simply sent me in the other place. I was deeply relaxed after 5 minutes. And after I started to sleep well almost every night I went further with the other options. Like sounds of nature or talks.
Great app to keep your sanity
