I have never had any financial problems there. It’s way cheaper and I have been really enjoying it. It’s also a lot hotter than IMVU, there is more 100% adult-content. On the other hand, there are no pedophiles and predators - you come across them all the time on IMVU. Keep your wits about you if you use IMVU. My recommendation is to avoid it.

They took my username and added '_old' to the end of it. Now they refuse to give me my original name back OR let me pick any of the 4+ inactive names I’ve suggested. They keep giving me the same canned response about 'security reasons' while offering zero actual solutions. They expect me to do all the legwork to find an available name, but then reject every option I find. Extremely disappointed in how they treat their customers. WORST COMPANY

So I ordered a shared room and I shared it with my friend so that we can decorate the room when we're decorating the room for like 3 to 4 hours and once we got done to make the room public so friends could join but they keep saying try again it was an error now they remove my friend from the shared room and took out all our decorations out the room and put my room back into private slot and now they saying I have to pay 9.99 again to get another shared room wth this not right at all n im pissed off behind this

The IMVU customer service is absolutely unacceptable. For weeks I have been trying to recover my account, providing every proof they requested, yet their support keeps sending repetitive, automated replies and doing nothing to solve the issue.

This is beyond frustrating and shows a complete lack of professionalism. If IMVU does not resolve this immediately, I will escalate the matter legally and through consumer protection authorities.

We will not stay silent — enough is enough.

Locked Out of VIP Account – No Support for 3+ Days

I have been locked out of my verified VIP IMVU account (@Rvrz) for more than 3 days.
Despite submitting a support ticket (#596313), sending multiple reminders, and posting on Twitter, I’ve received no response.

As a paying customer, this is completely unacceptable. I cannot access my account or even the VIP Live Chat that I paid for.

The worst part? No explanation, no communication, and no help.

THE WHOLE COMPANY IS A SCAM! My VIP failed to go through so they put my account on hold and made me send the payment through paypal to have it reactivated. I did everything they said and they took the hold off my account but NEVER gave me the service I paid for! Obviously I disputed this transaction with paypal but surprise surprise they won, thieves. OF COURSE they put my account on hold again! I have had tickets open for months now trying to get it lifted, but they only reply once every two weeks and ask for the same information already sent to them. They're such a scam of a company, I've been using this game since 2019 and regret every single penny i've ever spent on it. And I will be contacting my bank & local regulations office to report them for this and i WILL be getting back all the hundreds of pounds I have spent.

The amount of scams on IMVU is gob smacking, Non of the reports for these scams do anything aside from making them come back in doubles, Get rid of your scamming avis with links and maybe people would actually enjoy IMVU, as the whole thing is starting to become back to back, My friend's room had up too 15 links back to back in a room even with trying to boot or remove them, These scams are starting to ruin IMVU rooms and people who found a community in IMVU, most people on vu are quitting due to these scams, if IMVU was good, they'd adress the links and keep them far away for those who play IMVU as possible. Fix your stuff imvu before people start to hate on it, as i see it growing for myself.

I have a issue with this game. Since April 2025 I try to recover my account but their support ARE worst of time. They ask to provide the First email when I created in 2022 I have forgot and have no more access and now they dont give other solution EVEN proofing with payments. Bad bad support. Been on IMVU for a while now, never had any issues. One day I message someone sent maybe 3 or 4 texts in a row (to my own friend, mind you) and boom, my account gets permanently banned. No warning, no temp ban, nothing. Just gone.

I contacted support thinking it was a mistake. Took them days to respond, and when they finally did, all they said was “you were spamming, we have evidence.” I asked to see the evidence—radio silence. Then they just kept sending the same exact copy-paste responses like I was talking to a bot.

It’s wild how quick they are to ban people over nothing, but can’t seem to handle actual issues on the platform—scammers, catfish, shady creators, stolen accounts, you name it. The worst part? No real explanation. Just “you violated our terms” and that’s it. No accountability, no transparency, and no proper appeal process.

I had people, outfits, credits, memories all gone over a so-called "spam" that was literally just me having a convo.

Honestly, the way they’re treating users lately is insane. The app’s not even fun anymore it’s just unpredictable and messy.

IMVU permanently banned my 16 years old account for madeup reasons. They sent me mail : "Your account has been permanently disabled due to its association with a group engaged in creating content that violates IMVU’s guidelines." . I had creator account but i never upload any product and i never sell anything on IMVU. When i contacted they sent me another mail : "Your account is associated with a ring of users defrauding IMVU"

These are complete madeup reasons. I'm from Turkey, i'm using same PC, same IP for years, there is no any safety issues, i never shared my account and in 16 years nothing happened, never banned etc. but when Turkey banned IMVU my account banned permanently, what a coincidence !. All my purchases, credits, friend list gone suddenly. I'm not US citizen but i'm doing research for sueing IMVU.

It has become less of a game and more of a display of the crash of humanity, where broke men spin tales of non-existent fortunes and women feign affection for virtual clothing. The chatrooms are a theatre of desperation, filled with overweight socially inept individuals just addicted enough to nostalgia to keep this game alive. Stay away.

where to start off? customer support is completely non-existent and you receive emails stating to expect responses within 24-72 hours but there is no support staff to assist at all and your ticket is left open until YOU close it. overall, if you have problems with it, dont bother with customer support as there dont have any, which is the main assumption. i can see this is not just an issue with me and i can see it is a widely held fact about it.

Customer Support is Non-existent, Sexual Content EVERYWHERE even without AP, Spam is absolutely horrendous, mobile app is terrible as IMVU has about 7 official accounts constantly messaging you and unless you turn off notifications, (Blocking Friend Messages & Invites Aswell) you will constantly be bombarded by messages thinking it could be a friend reaching out? No it's an ad! 90% of the "Free Credit Offers" do not pay out, ask for WAAAY too much personal information, I've been trying to un-delete my account with customer support for 2 weeks now (I voluntarily deleted it) it's been 10 days since thier last response despite numerous attempts to reach them.

IMVU ban people if they are in a room and someone says something that someone thinks is an adult statement, totally subjective. They never show evidence, take 2 weeks to answer a ticket and just say TOS.
There are no rules, not even guidelines. There are people from different countrys and cultures, yet IMVU staff know what is allowed and not, but there is nothing written down, so how do you know what is and is not allowed.
IMVU are continually banning people who cannot appeal. IMVU are the accuser, the prosecutor, the judge, and executioner, and you, the customer, the user, have to shut up and do as the IMVU gods say.
In a few months, like mnay other users it is bye bye IMVU and hello second life.
IMVU is sexist, racist, homophobic and full of paedophiles who catfish and chase teens, and IMVU allow it and do nothing to stop it which they could do in 1 line of programming. Maybe the CEP Kevin Henshaw is a paedophile and an abuser of teens and that is why he allows his company to run in such a terrible way.

I’ve created account multiple times (after deleting them each time). It gets boring. Before you think of joining you should bear in mind that people that do/say very nasty and disgusting things so you need to be mentally strong. Try and stay out of drama because you’ll be dragged into it. Keep your circle small. Unfortunately, It’s a platform that gives people the pass to do whatever they want to someone behind the screen. I have a current account only because my friend wanted to play it. I’m more active on it now but people have not changed. Men are harassing women all the time. People posting real life pics of someone they have beef with. Never share images with anyone because if something goes wrong, you can be a victim. I don’t understand why actions exist (like slapping on stomping). It’s a form of bullying and embarrassing. IMVU say they are serious on bullying but definitely not. It needs to be heavily moderated.
