Don’t open NRE/NRO account with IDFC First Bank
Customer service and management of this bank is worse than other banks. I opened my NRE/NRO account as someone suggested to me. But I found this bank not even close what they advertising on every platform. First of all I faced problem with account opening. Then I had to chase the bank to find out my account detail kit. When account was open than they started forcing to put money in the account to maintain min balance. I was on travelling for a month so I couldn’t do the transaction so they put debit restrictions on my account. When this issue resolved then I thought everything is fine. After 4 months when I need to transaction on emergency basis than I find out that again debit restrictions put on my account. And this debit restriction is because they said I have not submitted my original document to bank. But 4 month ago I personally handed over the original document to one of the IDFC first bank branch. Also mail send to the concern personal with complete detail on the same time from that branch but what I found is the lack of management and irresponsible professionalism in this bank no one took responsibility. Bank management saying *“ we apologising for that we couldn’t checked this thing before because our mails are auto deleted from the IDFC first bank mail box. So we can’t check your mail now when u have send it to us. Also we couldn’t remove the debit restrictions until we receive dispatch no from IDFC bank personal who received your document ”*. Now From last 4 days I’m chasing the bank to remove the debit restriction but no response on call/msg/call back from relation manager/customer service. This is ridiculous, very unprofessional , pathetic device from IDFC first bank.

Pathetic customer service
I planned to open a new saving account in panjim Goa branch .i have account in several banks.But aftersee all my experience suddenly change my mind when I went to the bank with my brother to resolve some cheque issues.
Trust me I will never ever go to the bank im my future.and I suggest my brother to close the idfc account immediately.no proper training how to deal with the customer which is basic things. Rest are horrible.
Absolutely worthless service
Absolutely worthless service. Their senior CASA manager and their staff are equally clueless about the process and the timeframes of various services. It's been 8 days and they haven't been able to open my NRE account. They don't communicate at all. When I follow up they come up with a new excuse every day.

The bank staff are unprofessional and not to be trusted. I was dealing with Ali and Mr.Roshan Parab, Elite Banker – NRI Engagement, Thane branch. I had mentioned my requirement and they promised that the account will be opened as per that. Without my consent they went ahead and opened my account and now not been answering to my msgs and calls.

The bank offers amazing savings plans with monthly interest payouts - a feature i like a lot coz iss a great way to grow your funds.
Never go to IDFC
It is one of the best banks manned by the worst employees determined to fail.
What they offer and what materialise are vastly obtuse.

Beware of private banks for NRI…
Beware of private banks for NRI accounts. They lure you in with promises of benefits but later hit you with hidden charges, including a 5% cut on total transactions. They aggressively push unnecessary services, claiming tax benefits and favorable exchange rates, which turn out to be false. Avoid opening NRI accounts with private banks. Opt for Indian government-authorized banks like SBI or Union Bank for transparency and peace of mind.

Very very poor
Very very poor. I made a gold pledge before 7 months, and today I went to release the gold. I reached the Kalady branch this morning at 10 a.m., and still 11:32 a.m. I am waiting at the branch for the same. As per the cashier, the regular cashier is on leave and the temporary cashier has no access in this branch, and as per the cashier, it is his more service if any other cashier you cannot release today.
I spoke with the manager, and the answer is very disappointing.As a financial office, your guys are doing very wasteful service.
