It was the first time that I had sold a classic car at auction and therefore I was unsure of what to expect.

I had previously contacted one of the other major classic car auctioneers, but the terms of sale seemed to be heavily loaded in their favour and they showed no flexibility or interest to work with me or to consider my requirments and expectations with regards to the sale.

With this in mind I was feeling cautious at the prospect of contacting another auction house.

However, after an initial email to Iconic Auctions I was contacted by Alex Lucocq, one of their Car Specialist's.

Alex was very pleasant and professional to deal with and he worked with me to arrive at a position that both parties were happy with.

He kept me constantly informed about the whole process and always called me back when he said he would.

He was also there on the day of the auction and advised me right up until the hammer dropped, concluding a successful sale.

I would certianly recommend anyone to contact Iconic Auctioneers and I may in fact be using them again later on in the year to selll my other classic car.

A great experience all round, made better than you could ever imagine from such a big organisation, by one employee in particular Charles Smalley who listened to all my concerns putting my mind at rest, his Classic Car knowledge was second to none, I think gleaned from 35 years as a professional in this trade.
At one point in our telephone conversation he offered a saw it through to contact the vendor so time after my winning bid and funds had been paid.
Thank you Iconic Auctions for finding and employing Charles a great ambassador for the company, it’s my opinion he’d be very hard to replace.
Or as the late Tina Turner would say “Simply the Best!”

Extremely easy to register and the bidding process was as easy as any I've experienced. The staff are responsive and courteous.

Charles was very informative and helpful.
The whole experience was simple, I actually purchased a car that had not sold in the Auctions so a simple negotiation and the deal was done.
Information from the office after my purchase was spot on, made the collection process very simple

I purchased a great couple of cars, Harry and Rob were very helpful as always as were the rest of the staff.

The consignor was Charles Smalley who was outstanding. He totally understood me and my car and his catalogue entry was spot on as was his assessment of the car’s condition and value.He had clearly used his contacts well as he got an excellent result for my MG. The admin both before and after the sale was very polite and friendly and I got at all times the feeling that they all wanted to make the experience as painless as possible .

Mark was very attentive and a true gentleman, he was very patient to ensure the sale goes seamless and will be happy to deal with again.

The auction was great and extremely well organised.
However the car I purchased was barely driveable, I had to drain the dirty petrol and replace a fuel pump and get regulator fitted.

Got me number and waited for my lot to come up 🤔 and got it 😁 had to wait for the paperwork to be done 😀 then paid and all was mine , they helped with a storage company to take my car until I could get it delivered 😀

At 80 years old this was my first car auction. I was nervous as you can imagine but the staff couldn't have beeen more helpful. Being also hard of hearing they arranged to bid on my behalf, sort out the insurance and tax for my successful purchase and made my day a dream. Thank you so very much.
