Pricey shipping eligible for refund, but seller stonewalls. Boo!
I ordered $28.17 (USD) of merchandise and was charged $46.82 USD for shipping. OK, it's from overseas and guaranteed within 2-5 business days, and I can't easily source this product anywhere else; so fine. It left on Sept 29 and arrived at a warehouse in Italy on Sept 30, where it stayed until October 11. I was calling UPS every day trying to figure out what was needed to move the package (if it was a customs issue?) and also notified IAFStore of the hold up, but they were not responsive.
IAFStore is eligible for a refund of the UPS fees, as this far exceeds the UPS Express Saver time limit, but UPS won't talk to me as I am not the shipper. IAFstore refuses to refund my shipping. So I'm not happy having paid $68 Canadian for 2-5 day shipping, getting 11-day shipping, and getting no assistance from the store about this. Their ticket system seems nonresponsive, also. I won't be back.
EDIT: The delivery being delayed in Germany?? because UPS couldn’t get a hold of me in Canada?? is a baldfaced lie, as I have records of my Twitter correspondence nd phone calls with UPS.
