Site Gives Connection Time Out Error - Money Inaccessible
A company who gave me $50 for a survey used Hyperwallet for payout. When I received the activation email, the URL link would give me a Connection Time Out Error. I tried with 4 browsers on the laptop, an IPad with Safari and an android phone with 2 browsers.
Nothing would open their pay portal. Googling the time out error showed me their server was taking too long to respond to me. And I used every troubleshooting tip, even web developers tools such as flushing DNS cache and using other server #s and sent them multiple screenshots of internet speed - browser configurations (on all 4 of them) and the error messages. The Customer Service crew was patient at first, asking IP address to ensure it wasn’t blocked then asking for screenshots of the error message. Then that’s about it. By this point, it seemed the Company stopped offering me any tips as I had sent them a large emailed list of all my efforts to ensure my laptop was not the issue, with corresponding screenshots.
After 3 days in, one of the more awake Customer Service people decided to make a “Ticket for the Information Tech guys”. I never did hear back from IT, and after 10 days I had to do something that legally they couldn’t tell me to do, but it’s the only way to claw your money out of them if you cannot access the site.
To ensure it just wasn’t my computer, I posted the URL in a private forum of 40 people located in Canada, in various provinces. Only 20 could access the site. All had high speed internet, and used multiple browsers. I could not find a pattern or reason though why 50% got the same Connection Time Out Error.
On a final note, a third party who could access the Pay portal and transfer my money did report that the ID verification was quick.
Unsolved Mysteries here. Hoping Robert Stack comes back yelling “UPDATE! Solved!!”
If I could review them a 0 I would
If I could review them a 0 I would. Sold paintings via Saatchi are back in May it's now August 19th and I still haven't been paid by Hyperwallet. A system which makes you jump through time consuming American tax hoops and slows the process of being paid. I am actually going to proceed with taking legal action, they owe me over £3k. They have a very complex strict protocol for accepting documents submitting to them, and so any tiny blip means your payment is delayed and yet another obstacle is put in place for delaying payment. I am totally at a loss.

Ridiculously high fees that they collect when you don't use the card. Blatantly anti-consumer - every states AG should investigate their practices.
Uses currency conversion to steal from you...
I have avoided paypal like the plague for a while now, and then recently got a payment made to me by Hyperwallet, which is a Paypal company. The payment is in USD and I have an international bank account based in Norway, which is also in USD, since I am a content creator who gets paid in USD. Everything should be good... right?
They won't accept any ID from me that isn't my passport, even though it's on their approved list... so I am pending verification now with my passport which I really didn't want to give them. Worse than that, they won't allow my USD payment to transfer to my USD account in Norway. So they convert the payment into NOK and back again, getting two helpings of currency conversion for absolutely no reason other than to help themselves to a massive slice of my payment.
How you are allowed to do this and how it isn't considered to be theft I will never know.
Horrible service
Horrible service. They treat you as an enemy. would avoid doing business with them
Bad service, unnecessary difficulty account creation.
I had to become money from amuse with hyperwallet, I can’t create a account because they say every time that my number would be wrong. After 5 tries my account get suspended anf there’s nobody in the live chat to contact. A bad service. Furthermore I have now no access to my money and nobody answers me. Never work with hyperwallet!
Useless and incompetent
Useless. I had to apply for their verification. I provided all the right documents. But their team is useless and incompetent and were not aware of their own policies. They keep refusing my document until I explain them their policies several times.
One time, I provided them with my passport and they said it's not passport. Can it get any more pathetic?
Amazon Canada sent funds to my…
Amazon Canada sent funds to my Hyperwallet account. It has been 1 month now. Everytime I email or call Hyperwallet, they say that they are investigating. After reading these reviews, I believe Hyperwallet is cheating me. They have no intention of paying me.
HYPERWALLET IS A SCAM. AMAZON IS WRONG TO PARTNER WITH THEM. AMAZON IS LOSING TRUST BY PROMOTING HYPERWALLET
What a horrible experience
What a horrible experience. They decided to nowhere say that they would be taking 12% in foreign exchange, and you had to ask them MANUALLY to make it default so that you pay your bank for the exchange, rather than them. This is a scam, do not use this website. Customer service just copy pastes random sentence into their emails and are borderline useless. They failed to disclose they'd be taking 12% for doing nothing, and then try and sell me that their rates are "competitive" when my bank literally takes 5 euro a transfer no matter the amount, hypeerwallet 12% of the amount. Worst company i ever had to deal with by far
Stay away from this scam of a company
Stay away from this scam of a company. Absolute garbage, Refusing to release my funds and coming up with all kinds on ridiculous reasons to delay releasing them.
Process of verification longer than a month as an excuse not to pay users
Unfortunately, Hyperwallet is withholding my money. I uploaded the documents end of April and more than 1 month ahead, they are still in the process of verification. It seems as they are ripping users by not paying them. Do they have financial difficulties?
Utterly useless
Utterly useless, avoid at all costs. Not only do they charge a monthly fee, even if nothing goes through but their "support" is almost as bad as that of Samsung. Verification is supposed to take 3-5 working days. That was exactly a month ago. Their support staff can't do this, can't do that, many barely manage written English and now they lost my ID documents that I had to send them and nonchalantly want them re-submitted like losing them in the first place isn't outrageous. Closing this as soon as I can.
Had to receive quite a lot of amount…
Had to receive quite a lot of amount using Hyperwallet. I read reviews before and thought it won't happen to me as this company works with quite famous platform. Boy was I wrong.
To get verified is a huge pain in the bum, unclear issue, not helpful CS Chat! Then there's cut here and there, and then "pending fee" what the hell that means.
I guess the reviews are correct. I don't know how many companies work with this payment gateway but I do hope they rethink their decision or their customer will flee.
Dreadful
I have had the misfortune of dealing with Hyperwallet twice. I needed to receive payments from a survey site and this is the method they use. They must be mad.
On the first occasion I didn't receive a link from them. When I eventually got that, it didn't work! And I couldn't activate an account that was created for me. Customer service was almost non-existent. There was no email address or no contactable social media. The only advice under FAQs was to log onto my account to send a secure message. I couldn't activate my account!! That was the point!!!!
It was sorted. Eventually. But I wasn't able to transfer money to my bank account despite being offered a chance of this payment method.
However, these sneaky so-and-so's took a few quid from my payment every month as a storage or service charge. What?!?! I agreed to this, apparently. No. I did not.
So, I thought, screw it. Close my account and keep whatever is left.
Now, fast forward about a year, the same survey site wants to pay me again. It'll be fine. Right? Wrong.
Five weeks on I am still waiting for an account activation link from Hyperwallet, despite telling the survey site that you can reopen the account - or create another on my alternative email address.
This time, there is an online live chat. I asked for the Hyperwallet account to be reopened but they won't do it online. I have to ring them. It is an international call so I won't be making that.
The way things are going, I won't receive my payment.
This company is shambolic. If you can avoid them then please do so.
Inexcusable, unprofessional and where is my money!
I am absolutely amazed and incredibly disgusted with your company and the pathetic software that allows us (the customer) not to be able to transfer funds from my account!
I have recently won a small competition that ultimately had credited my Hyperwallet card with monies that I am unable to do anything with as your software will not allow me to transfer the m0ney to my bank account.
Furthermore and at the bottom of the page, there is a small section telling the customer that you will charge a £1.25 monthly fee which is slowly reducing my balance as I cannot physically take or transfer the balance from my card.
This is daylight robbery and I will make the site I received the money from aware .., as well as making all aware through as many social networking sites as possible.
Furthermore, I can guarantee you will not have the courtesy to reply, nor action any of my comments!
