I was fortunate to meet Jamie Hutton - and later his colleague Jack Povey - during a time when a different firm of local agents had caused significant distress and anxiety due to misconduct during the sale of our East London property. Speaking with Jamie was a reassuring and professional experience, and we were generously given significant guidance and direction with not only our property situation but also with the realistic market conditions and expectation. Jamie refused to accept payment for the very generous amount of time and knowledge he provided over the course of many phone calls.
Subsequently we listed our property with Huttons and received honest, professional conduct throughout - with regular written appraisals, timely phone messages and thorough reports.
They were proactive in supplying feedback throughout and never had to be asked for updates.

If you want to trust the sale process of your property to a London Agent, I would strongly recommend Jamie Hutton and Jack Povey - if for nothing more than the ability to sleep soundly at night with the guarantee you’re in safe, professional hands, who genuinely care and are not motivated by money.

Whilst selling a property is both challenging and stressful, both Nick and Amber made the process a lot smoother by keeping us fully informed of all necessary progress and developments and chasing all parties as required. In particular it was very useful we could speak with both outside of usual working hours.

I had a really great purchase experience with Nick (and the team) at Huttons & Partners. After months of searching and growing frustrated with some of the bigger name agencies, I came across these guys and soon after found my dream property.

The whole process was pressure-free, communication was reliable and consistent, and most importantly everything felt genuine.

Huttons are very professional, efficient and most of all friendly and approachable at all times. From initial valuation to final completion day the whole team were on hand to help us every step of the way to get our property sold. They gave us a realistic valuation which led to a quick offer and what’s more, they’re cheaper than the larger, more impersonal agents in the area. Highly recommended.

The worst renting experiences I’ve ever had

This review reflects my personal experience with this letting agency, and I strongly encourage anyone considering renting from them to be extremely cautious.

- When I moved in, the property did not appear to have been cleaned at all.
- Early on, I had an urgent issue with dirty water leaking from the toilet, which was an essential repair. Despite how serious and unhygienic this was, it took around 12 working days before anything was done
- Property management only seemed to reply quicker once a pre-existing leak situation escalated to the point where the water had to be shut off.

- I discovered a completely different ongoing issue: a persistent leak under the bathtub, along with serious mould, which had been affecting two floors below. Building management told me they had notified the agency about this roughly a year before I moved in, but none of this was disclosed to me beforehand.

- A “mutual termination” was eventually offered, but in my experience it turned into an attempt to push for extra days of rent and additional unexpected costs. Some of the communication I received during this process was aggressive with no legal basis.

- To end the tenancy, landlord requested several deductions for items missing which were approved to be removed by the agents themselves, these removed pieces of furniture were worn, filthy and old.

Overall, this was one of the most stressful and frustrating renting experiences I’ve ever had, and I hope sharing it helps others avoid similar issues.

I had a fantastic experience with Huttons & Partners though Nick Garrett in particular was extremely helpful. He was straightforward, attentive, professional, and always quick to answer my questions. He successfully enabled the process to take place with as little stress as possible. Highly recommended!

Jamie play nasty with my purchase. I arrange surveyor from Mortgage he first say ok to let him in later he reject to let him in. Only because he says its cash purchase and most important has 2k deposit put down. Never ever place deposit with them is my advise. Also their agent send a handy man but they came in group, while I was talking with one guy, another two was damaging the flat at the back and let me need to do more works.
