Rubbish, had to use an angle grinder to tidy up every brick. If I’d paid half the price I paid then maybe I’d say it was acceptable. But for what I paid and also HSS taking additional money from my bank account I rate the whole experience as awful.
The block cutter was readily available for hire and in good condition. Assistance was given to place the heavy tool into my vehicle.

Does the job but not perfect
Block splitter was easy to use and I went through the blocks quickly and easily. The only downside is that it is quite heavy and some may find it an issue getting it in and out of their vehicle. It's also quite large and may not fit in some car boots. I didn't have any problem with the boot in my Focus. Given this is a manually operated device I was a little surprised at the hire charge. I think manual operation ought to mean lower cost
The cutting edges were blunt and the equipment was clearly very old and did not do the job it was hired for
Did not cut straight with 50mm paving blocks as springs under paving support defective and unequal either side of splitter. Very frustrating for expensive hire rate.
Does what it says
Works brilliantly, a little expensive mind but certainly does the job.
