Went through the referencing for a flat through the Cowbridge office, being hounded every day to complete the forms as and when they wanted. I was told throughout the process that there were no issues and assured that the matter was in hand.

When the referencing was complete and I was less than 3 weeks away from moving, they then decided to let me know that they hadn't heard from the landlord in weeks and the flat was not fit for human habitation.

Left me hung out to dry on a property that should not have even been advertised in the first place. Awful experience, would recommend to avoid if can be helped or failing that, do not take what they tell you at face value.

Jemma from hrt handled our account, and other than a small delay in moving in due to ongoing painting , the experience was very good.
Viewing - seamless n on time, we viewed the property twice
Response to queries - prompt and helpful
Paper work and contract- efficient
Misc- we shifted few of our furniture before moving in, it was coordinated well by Jemma n hrt amidst their schedule.

Cowbridge office - the asking price was offered, seller agreed, a sale was in progress. A day later my ID via the online portal was accepted, another day later a solicitor was secured, on that same day an email was recieved from HRT saying the sellers had accepted a higher offer - that HRT had put forward, as they did not mark the property as 'Sold Subject to Contract' and continued putting offers forward to the seller

'GAZUMPING is not illegal in UK but it is ethically and morally frowned upon' I for one property owner both in UK and EU will never do business with HRT again
..... buyers beware!

Thank you for the reply, like I said gazumped, or in this instance maybe I was being tested to increase my already agreed offer - as the property is still showing for sale upon your website. Unfortunately I will not be making any other offers on this property or any other with your company. Best Regards and I hope it sells in future - promptly.

What an unprofessional company.
Their lettings department are a disgrace, very vague and no idea what’s going on regarding current information on the properties on their books.
Fortunately I was able to send someone to view the property we were interested in and a house was being built virtually next door which had taken over a third of the garden !
The staff haven’t a clue what is going on.
Do not deal with this company.

Seemed nice people.
We placed an offer in on the house and encouraged a bidding war on a house that feel through before because buyers could not get a mortgage.
We were told we were next as we were second bidder if it fell through. Soon enough house falls through again and never even informed us. Pathetic, if possible avoid them.

Letting - Unfortunately another estate agent which doesn't seem to value it's tenants, I expected better as this is a premium estate agent in the area. Property not as advertised and the house was filthy moving in. Customer service definitely needs work.
