Really great bras and their size guide was spot on (for me). Would be 5* but the packaging really lets them down. When you spend £45+ on a bra, you expect it to be delivered in more than a plastic... See more

The bras are lovely and good quality. However having ordered recently I was charged E60 in customs. I was never charged this the previous two times I ordered despite both times being after Brexit. The lack of EU store or clarity on customs charges is shocking. Other UK based websites manage to be clear about charges or include them in delivery fees so you can see what the total cost will be, so it's not difficult to do. I raised the issue with them, they asked for proof and when I supplied it there was no real follow up, only a note saying they had changed delivery partner and this was why. It's very disappointing that they don't value EU customers and don't have an EU website. I was very disappointed to have to pay such a large amount extra unexpectedly. I will not buy from this website again.

Great nursing bras. The styles are much prettier than others I’ve found. They are comfortable and work well under clothes but still feel like bras I want to wear as opposed to most I’ve found which are plain and frumpy. I’ve bought from this company after both my kids, they’ve had 2+ years of wear and are still holding up well. The magnetic closures are ingenious - so much easier than the traditional clips. If I know I’m going to be feeding a lot in public, I make sure I’m wearing one of these. I’ve had no issues with delivery, everything has been as you’d expect.

Only one order via the website so the customer service aspect doesn't apply to myself.
However I can comment on the product which I thought was absolutely fantastic. I have a large bust 34gg which only increased with pregnancy/breastfeeding. The sheer thought of going about without any real support (underwire) is horrible. With my first child, I bought Bravissimo, Freya, Panache, I spent a fortune and felt uncomfortable and breasts oddly shaped. I think I wanted to stop feeding largly due to the bras and how they made me feel so.
Second time round tried these and felt soo much better, the flexi-wire for me was amazing, the position allowed me to fully supported and comfortable. The clasps good, easy access. I loved them and for any woman with a large bust a must have. Plus the looked pretty, they helped massively in how I felt about myself post partum.

High quality maternity bras at affordable prices and have really stood the test of time (I am reusing my maternity / postpartum bras from my first baby now with my second) highly recommend

Absolutely loved my Hotmilk bras 🤍
I’m currently pregnant and my body is changing so much, so finding a bra that feels genuinely comfortable while still making me feel feminine has been such a win.
The Hotmilk bras are soft, supportive and actually feel like beautiful lingerie rather than something you’ve had to settle for because you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. I love the easy nursing clips too - especially knowing how useful that one-handed access will be when baby arrives.
For me, it’s the combination of comfort, support and still feeling like myself that makes them so good. Pregnancy and motherhood don’t mean we have to lose that part of ourselves.
Would 100% recommend to any mum-to-be or breastfeeding mum!

Honestly the most gorgeous bra that has brought back a bit of the old me whilst being pregnant! The lace and fit is perfect and has made me feel sexy during a time where my body changes have been hard to accept!! The communication to find the right bra has been incredible, couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thank you

Bras are fine, just as good as any company but the extra fees, disregard for consumer law and terrible customer service means I'll never shop there again and from the looks of other reviews I'm not alone in this opinion.
For a company that touts itself as by women for women they really lack empathy and kindness and are actually very condescending in their replies. Would very much not recommended.
Eta: please note the solution was to waive the refund fee, not to refund the postage. I paid 9.99 to receive my bra next day and it came 3 days late. They refused to claim back from Royal mail or refund my postage. The reply is misleading to suggest that they made a great solution and I refused it.

Thank you for your reply.
To clarify the timeline: my email dated 21 August contained 5 brand-new, specific contract questions requesting clarification on your published terms. None of those 5 specific questions were answered prior to communication being closed on your end.
Regarding website terms: I hold timestamped browser screenshots of your live UK domain (hotmilklingerie.co.uk) taken during this dispute. These show conflicting policy text on your UK FAQ page promising "a full refund or store credit with no additional fees," alongside changes made to your primary UK returns page after my email was sent.
My point has never been about general policy updates, but about the inconsistent treatment between Order 2 (which offered a cash refund option on store credit) and Order 3, and the enforcement of unwritten restrictions.
As delivery was formally cancelled and refused, and customer service declared communication closed, this matter remains with my bank's dispute team to evaluate based on the complete email thread, transaction history, and timestamped website records.

These bras aren’t a great fit, and have actually contributed to me losing milk supply on one side after some nipple damage didn’t heal as a result of rubbing on the inside of the cup. The magnet clasp is very easy to do up, but very difficult to undo in the first place.

Really disappointed in the quality - Bras are expensive and after one wash all of the padding has gone lumpy. Tried to speak to their customer service for a refund and they don’t care. I don’t recommend buying from this brand.

I would like to share my sincere appreciation for the support I received from Demi.
Customer service is not defined only by the quality of a product, but also by how a company supports its customers when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, my parcel was lost due to shipping issues outside of Hotmilk's control. Naturally, it was a stressful situation, especially as I am currently in the final stage of my pregnancy.
From the very beginning, Demi was incredibly responsive, proactive, and genuinely invested in helping me. She kept me informed, followed up on the investigation without me having to ask, responded quickly to every message, and always offered clear options for moving forward. At no point did I feel that my problem was being dismissed or treated as "just another support ticket." Instead, I felt genuine care and a sincere desire to help.
Although, due to shipping limitations, I sadly won't have the opportunity to try your products this time, I can confidently say that the customer support I experienced was exceptional.
It's easy to maintain a company's reputation when everything goes according to plan. The true measure of customer service is how a company responds when things don't. In those difficult moments, your professionalism, values, and company culture become visible-and thanks to Demi, Hotmilk demonstrated all of these beautifully.
Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to Demi. She is a wonderful representative of your brand, and I truly hope other customers receive the same level of care that I did.

Avoid this website, over priced bra's with a terrible customer service. I have waited 2 months to get a refund from a return and still have had no guidance on how to apply my store credit. Feels like a scam

Both bras even though on paper the same size were totally different sizes in reality.
Return process sucks when outside the UK, you have to pay for your own return which cost me a lot. Never heard from them again so now they have the bras and the money and I am short more than a 100 euros... Seems kind of sad that they make so much money on nursing moms who want to feel a bit pretty but have too much mom brain to go scanning the entire website for a possible absurd return policy...
Edit: definitely do not order anything there. They say they never got the return, make up new rules about returning (you have to email them, why than have a return form/process in your account?, if the order number is not on the outside of the package it can't be processed ??). So I definitely felt it the hard way (lost more than a 100 euros including the expensive return. I should have kept the ill sized bra's (a-b cup model was larger than b cup only model) or sold them on vinted for a couple euros)

Really great bras and their size guide was spot on (for me).
Would be 5* but the packaging really lets them down. When you spend £45+ on a bra, you expect it to be delivered in more than a plastic bag. This might sound nitpicky but other comparable lingerie companies use boxes with tissue paper which makes for an overall much more luxury experience, reflective of the premium price you are paying.

First up: the returns experience mirrors what other reviews have said, to start with you need to print off the return label - not everyone has a printer at home so organising getting a print out wasn't easy. And yes, you need to pay for your return too - I'm not completely against this process as they are a smaller firm apparently, and this can help with reducing the churn with fast fashion. However, a maternity bra like this isn't that - they are considered purchases.
After waiting for the outlined 14-days for the refund to process - I had to contact them to see what was happening with my refund. This is when I was told that I'd returned an item in an unsaleable state. However, I know how I tried on this particular bra: clean from the shower, free of deodorant and well - I'd even put a cami on as I thought it best to as I do with other items like this. However, this bra was so obviously too small for me, that it didn't even reach beyond my elbows so I took it off. So, how could it have been worn or soiled?! I'll never know. I can't help but see a recent pattern in this occurring in reviews in 2026? It is perfectly reasonable to assess size as you would in a retail setting. Also, I managed to try on a My Heroine bra properly and this was fine?
They stated that because it was a 3P (third party) warehouse that handles these returns they could not provide evidence or return the item if it failed a cleaning process. This felt entirely unfair as I would have potentially been down financially without anyway of trying to recover the cost by reselling, with a target audience of mothers who are either preparing for or on maternity leave and at a financial disadvantage usually, this felt really quite gross.
Every part of this process felt completely off, so I challenged this in terms of statutory rights and I would have pursued a chargeback with my bank had they not issued the refund or returned the item to me.
Funnily enough, after this challenge my refund was processed immediately. I do appreciate that they're a small company operating on a global scale, however, if the 3P warehouse operates this way then perhaps they should change this, at the end of the day it will be their guidance which tells the warehouse how to operate. I appreciate the need of strict hygiene, however, there are no hygiene seals. Perhaps this should be introduced to protect product AND customer?
Secondly, the bras are fine, they are relatively comfortable, however, the sizing is off hence why I needed to buy and return. Even now as I have an XL in the My Necessity bra, I am a 30/32G usually and have gone up to 34G (in the Heroine bra, may I add) and XL for the My Necessity is for 38 band upwards. I had to get this large to allow for me to actually fit in as the straps were too short. But the cups are a little baggy to the top. I can't win! Both the My Necessity and Heroine bras the back bands are far too high (I struggle to reach the clasps to remove them), but after an absolutely awful experience - I decided to keep as I was desperate at this stage to have a maternity bra as I was so uncomfortable living without anything - and this had dragged on for ages.
To note, I actually ordered via John Lewis the My Necessity bra in a L - this was again very short on the straps so got returned. John Lewis looked after this refund and I was processed in 5-days, and yes, this one was actually put on my body fully to assess fit! So I would recommend ordering via another supplier such as John Lewis, Marks and Spencers should you wish to be able to receive a more reliable and safer returns experience.
Customer service were friendly enough. However, I do not recommend direct ordering with them and would recommend other brands for maternity bras as well, as a bra riding up at the back is a sign of a bad fit. But I think that's just part of their design.

I’ll start with the good. The bras are truly fantastic, great quality, great fit and gorgeous designs. Unfortunately this company lets itself down with its return process as detailed by other reviews. As others have said you do have to pay for return postage and have to physically print a label which is unusual and a bit of a faff, but given its a relatively small business and I’d got a good deal on the bras I was keeping it didn’t bother me too much. However, I sent the return on 19th January, and could see on the tracking it was delivered on 21st January but all I got from this company was complete radio silence. I waited the requisite 14 working days and still there was no confirmation of receipt or refund processed. I eventually chased it up yesterday evening (11th February!) and actually got a really quick response. But again, mirroring a number of other reviews was told the items had not been returned in an unworn condition and were considered unfit for resale and therefore my refund was on hold whilst they undertook a cleaning process to see if they could make the items fit for resale. The items were unworn. They were tried on briefly and then packaged up for return. Unbelievably the email explained that because returns are handled by a third party warehouse they were unable to provide any evidence or photos of the proposed ‘damage’ and were also unable to return the items to me!! After a strongly worded email threatening an escalation to trading standards and the consumer ombudsman, I have now been told the clean was successful and my refund has been processed. However, as I understand it if the clean was perceived to be unsuccessful they would have kept possession of the goods and my money which feels like theft! I am astonished that throughout all of this there was no proactive contact with me to explain the situation and manage my expectations, and that they have established a process with a third party that doesn’t include evidencing any perceived QC issues to offer traceability of decisions. Despite having worn hot milk bras for 7 years now, I will NEVER order directly from them again and would encourage caution to anyone doing so!

Great bras, terrible return process.
Ordered online but second what others have said about a terrible return process. They are saying I returned a bra used (no refund!) but I returned the bra in the original packaging and obviously unused. They can’t provide evidence (I asked if it got damaged in transit?). Would not reccomend this company!

Reply from Hotmilk Lingerie - UK
The bras themselves were okay, I ordered a few as I wasn't sure of my size and couldn't get out with my baby, so thought it would be convenient. The returns process was terrible and lengthy, you have to pay for it only to print your own label at home, I don't own a printer! But the worst part was that when I returned 6 bras I was only refunded for 5 of them. When I enquired as to why, they told me they checked with the warehouse and they only saw 5! It was the first item I had packed and have never had this issue before. They didn't even look to resolve the issue or check thoroughly. I'm seeing a lot of issues with other people regarding returns so I wouldn't trust the company for that reason. I'm not sure if they were just trying to make their money back as I had received a discount on the items. Disappointed that I'm missing £22.49.
