I booked several hotels in April 2025 for a holiday in Dec 2025. Today I checked if everything was ok, I called their helpdesk and they cannot find my bookings !!!! They cannot recognise the reference numbers they sent me !!!! Their customer service is really poor, I spoke to Isra who told me that they are a new partner (do not know what that means) that took over a month ago and they cannot find me on their system. I am very worried now as the hotels are double the cost if I book now.

I had a system caused double booking, called them 5 minutes after booking and 2 month later they told me, that they can not refund. Pure ripoff site!!!

Never book with this company! They charged me double the nightly rate because of their broken website and did not want to help at all. Extremely disappointing, the worst kind of service I have ever received from any travel company anywhere in the world.

This summer I booked an expensive Hotel in South-Italy (Booked in May, Holiday in June).
One day before check-in they sent me an email, that due to "contractual issue" I have no booking with the hotel, and that I can either have a full refund or they book me another room for 15% discount.
I decided to get the refund and take care of the booking myself directly at the hotel.
Hotelopia support never answered again and they never refunded me the money. They ghosted all my emails I have sent.
Luckily I was able to refund the money 1 month later via my credit card I used for payment.
DO NOT BOOK HERE - No matter how much discount you get from corporate benefits. I's not worth the hassle.

I made a reservation for 2 DELUXE rooms for 4 adults and 2 children and when I arrived at the hotel they gave us 2 STANDARD rooms and was informed that no reservation had been made for the children by HOTELOPIA. When I complained to the central services of this company, They responded to me in a different language than the one in which the reservation had been made and invented an excuse that it was what I had booked - when I have a document that says nothing about what I am referring to. We were extorted by HOTELOPIA, we recommend great caution when booking through HOTELOPIA. !!!

Dealt with this from a company side of things and have witnessed the affects that this site has caused. customer service was shocking since they would rather shout at you down the phone than help deal with the situation. I asked customer services to send over confirmation and he didn’t have an email and asked me for it numerous times. Seemed very suspicious. He then sent over a confirmation email which was for a different hotel from an email address attached to a completely different company not related to hotels.

After arriving at the hotel to check in and was told we haven't paid for our room yet HOTELOPIA taken the money out of my account. i called HOTELOPIA 3 times first time couldn't fine booking second time found booking and said I don't need to pay but reception said they haven't received payment. Third time DANIEL on the phone got aggressive and blaimed the hotel. Each time they said they called the hotel but each time I was by the reception and NO PHONE RANG so I handed MY phone to the receptionist and again DANIEL was rude to them. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN LIARS SO NEED A HOILDAY TO GET OVER THIS HOLIDAY BEEN HERE ALL AFTERNOON AND ALL I DONE IS PHONE HOTELOPIA.

Rubbish they take payment and don't pay the hotel your staying in, hotel wants payment again. Lie on the phone saying they're talking to hotel staff yet we were with hotel staff. Stay clear. Sent proof of payment to them and they lie saying they've not received it. Don't even deserve one star should be negative. Got the fraud people involved now. After asking them to email hotel it is definitely scammers as they have an email address with cleaning products in their title. Somehow they intercepted our contact with our hotel as this is where are confirmation come from. They should be closed down and time people got tough with SCAMMERS.
Beware after cancelling, no refund!
Cancelled rooms and was told it would take between 5-7 business days, I also told them that when I had booked and when I cancelled, my credit card number had changed, they told me that they didn't know how to do that, so I waited and nothing, phone back a few weeks later and they gave some lame excuse as to why there had been no refund and wanted me to send a picture of of my credit card, today is March 25/2024 and still nothing! will be phoning again

I booked a hotel room on February 25 but wanted to cancel within about an hour after I booked. In the meantime, they sent me an email stating that there is a cancellation fee of $178.59 after "February 24, 2024". How can this possibly be? The day before that I booked it!! Wanted to cancel my booking but the online portal doesn’t even recognize I made a booking, no one replies to your emails and the customer service number doesn’t get answered you’re just left on an endless hold. I went to the hotel and was told that they didn't have the booking.
Called hotelopia CS and they said I could check in but will be another type of room. I would either accept this or I would need to drive home (they couldn't arrange something else). And she told me to send an email to headoffice at hotelopia.com for compensation after I finished the trip
I had no choice but to accept this. I emailed them the day after I finished the trip. And I have kept chasing them for a month since May 2023. I have received NO REPLY from them (both headoffice at hotelopia.com or complaints at hotelopia.com don't reply).
I have phoned the hotline again. The man have me an bedsonline email and asked me to email this address with my booking details and personal information. I haven't done so - why I need to email my information to another entity?

I would give them a zero if I could. I checked into a hotel on 2/16 (My 62nd birthday) and discovered the hotel was in a unsafe area. We passed a drug deal in progress on the street. I call customer service who then called the hotel to let me know I could check out without penalty. I checked out and call customer service back as instructed I have been going back and forward since February. I have not received my refund yet!

We booked a Vegas vacation and found a great hotel, except the hotel never recieved the resort fee/tax and we had to pay the amount again. When we booked Hotelopia they made it seem the entire amount was taken care of. In order to get to bed we paid the fee again at the hotel and hotelopia got to keep our money 💰 that was supposed to go towards the resort fees.Stay away from them, they are crooked and will not deal in good faith. A positive statement so they can improve??? Maybe don't steal money from people??
