Charged anyway after cancelling renewal

Hostmetro has charged me for hosting services after I had cancelled that very same service before the renewal date. I even got a confirmation email of the cancellation, but despite that the charges came in anyway. The also charged me via Paypal which is not among the payments method I had indicated. I would suggest anyone to stay away from them.

i had very bad experience with hostmetro, Billing customer care agent was very rude in response and not answering my question and going in circle not to refund the charges, service was not used and keep charging.

Becareful

Been with HM for over 10 years. Most of the time their tech support can help with simple issues. But when I had 2 more serious problems, I had to "hold their hand" and show them that their responses did not & would not resolve my issue. I am by no means an internet expert, but I expected their support staff to be. I have also noticed they don't seem to read the entire support ticket and then give an canned response that does not fit the issue. And they have one support rep "Mark" that simply lacks patience for customer service.

Been with host Metro for about 7 years…

Been with host Metro for about 7 years now. They've been very good and I've always give me excellent customer service whenever there's been issues. The only drawback I have is I don't think they keep their servers as updated as they should. But as far as my websites operations go I've had very little problems when I have had them they've been very good about working and resolving them

'Mickey Mouse' company

Providing haphazard service whenever it suits them. Not even close to the 99% uptime they promise, which is why they don't offer the 99.9% that are standard, so get ready for sub-par performance on all metrics. In the end, they had a 'server failure', which deleted all my sites including backups, they took no responsibility, of course, so better look elsewhere for decent hosting, you get what you pay for here.

Good customer support

I hosted my site on 2016 at HostMetro "vBulletin" forum . first month having an issue and my site will down for afew second and back again. And had issue with my forum admin cpanel. So tried to fix the issue with their customer support but no luck. Im sure there something worng with this host and know maybe php version or something also not really reliable with vBulletin forum. So i moved my site to other host and my forum worked great with no issues. So i canceled my plan at hostmetro.

Overloaded Servers = Diastrous Results for Customers

It is mind-boggling that HostMetro ownership fails to appreciate how costly it is for Websites & Email to go down for weeks at a time. It may be that they they overload their servers to save money, but whatever the reason, it screws up a business for weeks in at least 2 ways: (1) No one can find it on the Internet, and (2) Businesses are unable to send and receive Email through the downed server. It is no consolation that hundreds of businesses are affected or that HostMetro is impacted. Nor is it 'compensation' that HostMetro awards victims of downed servers with extra months of hosting.

A HostMetro server went down for an extended period last November ... and the same server again for the last week in March and first week in April of 2017 ... these are no longer isolated episodes ... it is a pattern.

"Downtime" is a muted descriptive. Colossal disaster is a more accurate characterization.

Be warned! Host Metro is one company you don't want to deal with!

Host Metro, where to start! Customer service are very unhelpful and not willing to help or even consider helping you with any issues. I had asked for my service to be cancelled numerous times before but of course did not get a response. Then $88.90 gets taken from my bank account for the service requested to be cancelled. I emailed them with a nice long email to get the service cancelled and money refunded but the responses from them were far from what you expect from a company who has had a client for 3 years now! The service is laughable all round for this company and I would not recommend it to anyone wanting something professional for their website!

AWFUL! Rude, unhelpful, constantly down.

I need to issue a strong warning against HostMetro.

They have been nothing but trouble, extremely unhelpful, rude, dismissive. They blatantly lie about server uptime, they delete files without warning or confirmation, they lock me out of my account for no reason, they refuse to co-operate or answer emails. Their attitude stinks. I have given them numerous opportunities to sort out many of the issues with my hosting, but they have just been rude, ignorant and extremely unhelpful, unreasonable, often providing completely inaccurate advice.

The absolutely worst host ever - even worse than 1&1, and that's something. So, people, stay away from HostMetro as they will rip you off. I would not host with them again if they paid me.
