Worthless Guarantee

Six weeks ago I contacted this company to claim a replacement Sprenger bit (lifetime guarantee) because mine had failed. They requested photographs and proof of purchase which I duly supplied; within minutes. Thereafter they wouldn’t take my calls and repeatedly transferred me to answerphone.
I eventually contacted them by using a different phone and was told that they weren’t willing to honour the lifetime guarantee because the bit is nine years old.
I contacted Sprenger UK distributors, Zebra Products and they promised to help but they haven’t.
