All good…
My click and collect was waiting for me at the till. Before I went to the till I had a look round and found some bargains as well.
I come here for supplies and everything.!
I come here for supplies and everything I bought has broke! I was going to use this “ very strong “ elastic for my masks and I let it dry for at least 19 hours and the second I put it on my face it just popped off!!! And yes it was big enough for my head neither is ur glue strong it just pops off and isn’t the best quality and the shop it’s so expensive for one little thing !!! That’s why hardly anyone goes in there and terrible quality.
Hobbycraft Southampton
I recently visited Hobbycraft Southampton and received outstanding customer service from a staff member named Rebecca.
I was searching for a particular type of envelope, but unfortunately it was not available in store. Rather than simply telling me it was unavailable, Rebecca took the time to help me find an alternative solution. She offered helpful advice, suggested another type of envelope that would work, and even recommended stationaries items to help me get everything ready for posting.
Her kindness, professionalism, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile were genuinely impressive. It’s becoming increasingly rare to experience this level of thoughtful and caring customer service in stores nowadays.
Rebecca made what could have been a disappointing visit into a very positive experience, and I truly appreciate the effort she made to help me. She is a fantastic representative of Hobbycraft Southampton.
What an absolute joke
What an absolute joke! Purchased make your own mouse. You need a magnifying glass to see the parts they refer to. The instructions are in complete on each step. They refer to felt, there is no way the head of the mouse is felt it's a disgusting shade of white( when the box colour is pink)which is so stiff it's hard to get the supplied needle through. They do not say if you turn the head inside out, no mention of the gusset being inserted. Complete waste of money, I Madge the purchase for to inside a dolls house I purchased for my granddaughter.
Stock issues and lack of communication
I’ve had differing experiences from Hobbycraft. I like that I can order for click and collect, and about half of the time the order is correct but the rest of the time items are missing (even though they have confirmed my order) and I need to get a refund. The store is chaotic and they don’t even know what items are actually in stock. They don’t even let me know in advance so often a wasted trip. Serious issues here.
Absolutely terrible Click & Collect…
Absolutely terrible Click & Collect experience with Hobbycraft.
I placed an order for items that were showing as in stock, yet over 6 hours later there was still no confirmation or acknowledgement from the store. Customer services initially told me to call the store directly, but the phone line repeatedly rang out and then went dead with no answer.
As I urgently needed the items, I asked for the order to be cancelled so I could purchase them elsewhere. I was then told they “couldn’t do anything” until the store either confirmed or denied the order, despite the money already being taken from my account.
To make matters worse, I was told the refund would take 3–5 working days once processed, even though they admitted they couldn’t currently process the cancellation. No one attempted to contact the store directly or provide any practical solution.
When I asked to escalate the issue to a manager or complaints department, I was simply told to email customer services myself.
Very poor communication, poor customer service, and a completely frustrating experience from start to finish.
Friendly & Helpful Service from Gaby at Hobbycraft
I recently visited Hobbycraft and had a great experience thanks to Gaby. She was super friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in what I was making. While serving me, we had a lovely chat about my project which made the visit feel really personal. Customer service with a smile goes a long way, and Gaby made the whole experience enjoyable. Thank you for the excellent service!

For months now I have been receiving emails reminding me that if I spent another 57p, I would receive a club voucher.
Well, I have spent a lot more than 57p, but I still havn't received a voucher.
The date given is the one for which I have photographic proof. I received another such email today.

Fantastic first order and outstanding customer care
I placed my first order with Hobbycraft for 3x 12-packs of clear hexagonal glass jars for my new food trading business. The delivery was quick, the packaging was excellent and everything arrived in perfect condition. The quality and price are great value, and I’m really happy with the products.
When I noticed the promotional code in the parcel had passed its date, I reached out to Customer Services. They responded the same day with a friendly, professional reply and issued me a £5 goodwill voucher valid until July 2026 as a thank you for getting in touch.
Their quick response and genuine willingness to help made a great first impression. I’ll definitely be ordering from Hobbycraft again for all my preserving supplies.
I would to say personal thanks to Maida Dautaovic for the response and communication.

Really bad service from Jo ann
I visited Hobbycraft in Crawley today at around 12:55pm to buy some yarn and had a really unpleasant experience with a member of staff named Jo ann.
Before I was even served, I witnessed her speaking rudely to another customer about fabric measurements and not following the correct process. When I got to the till myself, I said hello and was completely ignored while she focused on speaking to another customer and talking on the radio.
When my yarn scanned through at £3 each instead of £2 as displayed upstairs, I politely tried to explain that I had picked them up from the £2 section. Joanne repeatedly talked over me, misunderstood what I was saying, and then went upstairs to check for herself.
When she came back down, instead of handling the situation professionally, she shook her head at me and outright accused me of lying. I was genuinely shocked. I know exactly where I picked the yarn up from, and I had no reason to make it up over £1 per ball of yarn. I at this point said i wont be buying the product regardless but we will go upstairs together so I can show you,
We then went upstairs together, where I showed her the exact section I had taken the yarn from. At that point, she went quiet and began removing the sign instead of apologising for the confusion or for accusing me of lying. I received no apology whatsoever, despite how rude and dismissive she had been throughout the entire interaction.
Mistakes with signage happen in retail, and that’s understandable. What isn’t acceptable is speaking to customers with disrespect, talking over them, and accusing them of dishonesty instead of handling the situation politely. To be outright called a liar and then to be ignored when Jo ann was in the wrong is truly disappointing not to mention embarrassing.
Really disappointing experience and not what I’d expect from Hobbycraft.

Excellent service from a very cheerful Sam (I hope I remembered your name correctly!) in Newport. Phoned today as the item I was after is out of stock in my local store and other stores had sent their stock to Newport. Sam checked we were talking about the same item (two similar) and is going to send it to my local branch for collection. This is a huge relief as it is required to complete a commission.

I ordered some products from Hobbycraft…
I ordered some products from Hobbycraft to be delivered. While they promptly sent my order out next day, to my former address 250 miles away, I feel there was no attempt on their behalf to query what went wrong. They had my money. End of. Not very nice customer service.
What happened was, I ticked billing address same as delivery (on my PayPal account) knowing full well I had changed my address when I moved 6 months ago.
For some bizarre reason, it defaulted back to my old address on PayPal (and I had also had a Hobbycraft delivery there previously.)
Long story short, a friend picked up my delivery for me but I can't help but feel it would have saved me a lot of stress if they sent an email confirmation first, before sending, then I would have had the chance to amend the address. Sure, it was my bad but, seriously...
This obsession with quick delivery is beyond stupid, I can wait a day or so more for crafting stuff, it ain't life or death!! and I will not be asking for a delivery from Hobbycraft again, thank you very much. Left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Stick to click and collect guys, it's not worth the bother

I have tried over the past month to "unsubscribe" from countless emails on a weekly basis. I do not wish to
"pause" I just wish to cancel completely. Is it asking too much, after a month, to have my email deleted.
If I need to get in touch I will.
Please Hobbycraft action my request immediately, it would be very much appreciated.

They have acted as if trace asbestos is safe!
They have likely exposed myself, my family and my child to asbestos from at least 10 different products over all 6 years of my child's life. Even trace amounts of asbestos can be deadly after laying dormant in lungs for 10-40 years. They think that a "recall" is a proportionate response to exposing millions of children to asbestos over years? What about all those boxes that we used years ago? Do we now just have to sit and wait to see if any of us get life ending asbestos lung complications in a decades time? I guess that's a nice long time for Hobbycraft to wash their hands of their gross negligence and greed by failing to properly screen their products. They can liquidate the company as soon as people start dying in 10+ years. Children will have thrown that play sand, rubbed in on themselves and no doubt some will have ingested or inhaled it directly. This should be the scandal of the century but they have somehow kept the media (and watchdogs!) off their backs. When there are droves of people dying mysteriously from asbestos in 20 years then remember this Hobbycraft scandal. They will reply to this message and say "its only trace amounts" which I urge you google how deadly trace amounts of asbestos can be. Hobbycraft might have just killed us and our children and they only offer a "refund" and only for people who still hold products?? When they have had contaminated products in circulation for nearly a decade. Never use Hobbycraft again and never forget what they did in the name of corporate greed. Cut a few corners means profit to them and it could mean the end of life for many of us. Customer service merely replied with a soulless copy-pasted reply stating they had "exhausted any internal reviews"...so they investigated themselves and found they had done nothing wrong! What a surprise. Pure evil.
Excellent customer service
My sister placed an online order for items for a birthday present. DPD were supposed to deliver but all my sister received was a photo of a random closed white door (not my sisters or any neighbour!!) saying parcel had been delivered (by Jasdeep)! Immediately sent email to hobbycraft explaining what had happened and received response within an hour from Connor who quickly dealt with the issue by offering to resend or refund. A refund was chosen (resending was not an acceptable option as apparently hobbycrafts despatch system decides whether to use DPD or Royal Mail and clearly DPD are incompetent/not to be trusted). Disappointing experience from DPD but positive experience from hobbycraft.
Avoid the Salisbury store
Usual store at West End is great, with helpful staff, so when I went into the Salisbury store I was seriously disappointed. Really odd layout and members of staff not happy to help you find things! Tills staff equally awful and unkind. Decided not to spend my money and left. Customer care training anyone??!!
