HMV was amazing with fast,friendly staff downstairs during my visit,very accommodating for me to collect my album that was ordered. However I wasn’t happy with staff upstairs when visiting for a meet and greet. (JLS) staff was shouting “no phones,no cameras. Put them away” it was a rushed event,not much time to have a meeting with JLS (no fault of their own) this event should of been more hands on and more accommodating for those wanting proper pictures with all of the lads,not pushy for a signature and thrown out. I still had a great time, I just believe next time creating an event like this you might feel more confident if you have the most honest review.

Truly helpful understanding security

I came with a group of friends to the JLS signing. The whole thing was chaos. Security were incredibly rude. Whilst I understand certain things has to happen in-order to make the event run smoothly, however the attitude from security was diabolical. Shouting at people, trying to push people out of the way to move them on. Shouting that people were not allowed to take photos yet allowing others to take them, as well as letting people go through the queue more than once. The whole thing as a shambles. It was such a shame that the attitude of the majority ruined it for the two lovely ladies on the team, one was called Lisa who was working on the main door, who was incredibly empathetic to how we was all feeling about the event. There was another lady with dark hair who was at the front of the queue who was nice and felt bad she had to follow those rules and inforce them on us as fans.

I really enjoy shopping with HMV because I can usually get what I’m looking for and when I go to one of your shops the staff are always friendly and helpful, I’ve been shopping with HMV’s for many years LOVE IT.

Security were absolutely vile last night to JLS fans. After waiting 16 years to finally meet them, I was greeted to angry horrible security shouting at people saying no pictures. Blocking people, putting their hands up to block people’s cameras! What a joke!

Whilst the event and meeting JLS was amazing, we were a little disappointed that the staff missed out on giving us a goodie bag. When we queried this after the event, we were told they had run out (people who arrived after us had received them, so we know they were available when we arrived) and when we asked if there was any other way to get one a member of staff VERY rudely told us “just get there earlier” which really upset us given we had arrived in time to receive them and this was in fact a staff error. His demeanour was rude and he spoke to us very dismissively the whole time.

The signing was shocking, staff were incredibly rude, wouldn’t even let a friend take pictures whilst meeting them. Got told off for even having my phone out of my bag. So rushed we were out within 20mins and we had at least 100 in front of us. You could tell the boys just wanted to speak and take photos.

Great customer service, from ordering in store for the product, to collection of said product.

I love going to HMV. The customer service is always great and the sticker I purchased were so cute!

I did a click-and-collect order and discovered the order had to be posted to the shop, and it took 2-4 working days to arrive. Click-and-collect is supposed to be available on the same day or the next day from the shop's own stock. I think HMV misunderstood this procedure compared to the speed at other shops on the high street when interpreting this practice.
I received the order in the same mail-posting packaging in the shop as I would have it by posting to my door address.
I got my ARROW titles, but the delay in processing and dispatching the order was odd. But it was better than ordering them from ARROW directly who wanted £6 for shipping, HMV didn't charge any extra for C&C.

Visited the store in Westfield and the service was great! Found what I was looking for. Very happy with the experience.

Website instructions were clear and the package ordered has been despatched and sent in the correct release date. Email notifications were sent efficiently and collected it physically on store.

Was able to collect my parcel without issue. Would have been 5 stars if the person who served me had been friendly

I was trying to locate some rather rare and obscure recordings by Anglo/French group Stereolab and your assistant Mark spent a lot of time searching for me which meant I could order a great boxed set which was delivered to my home.
