This morning we went to the Banbury nursery, all I can say is what fab staff they have, Lucy in the plant area was amazing in helping us with choosing plants for our garden, her advise was amazing, and she genuinely had a interest in what we wanted. Shona (hopefully this is right) inside really was helpful with the furniture and again her patience and knowledge was fab. Thanks for all your help and advise today along with your patience whilst we constantly changed our minds.
We will definitely be back

With no table service, no longer a treat

We have often enjoyed meals at the Garden Restaurant, but now that service has changed it is no longer the 'treat' that it used to be. The new system is supposed to reduce waiting time for customers. Part of a normal restaurant experience involves a little waiting - for the order to be taken, for the food to be served, for the bill to be presented. This is expected and acceptable. What is not acceptable is for one member of a couple to be sitting alone for 15 minutes or more, while the other person is waiting in a queue at the till to make the food order. Please bring back the old system and pre-booking a table by phone.

Appalling lack of understanding

Myself and my daughter went to the garden centre for breakfast. We expected it to be busy as there was a special offer on breakfasts. My daughter is type 1 diabetic and has to inject insulin 20 mins before she eats. We allowed 30 mins to allow for a wait. When we got there, there was a queue to even get in the coffee shop to join the main queue. I explained the situation with regards to timings to the staff member there and we were allowed to join the main queue when I offered to sit outside (in January!) After queuing for a further 20 mins or so, I reached the order point. When I enquired. I was told it was an additional 30 min wait for the food to be delivered. I explained that this was too long given my daughter had injected her insulin approx 30 mins before. The lady serving checked with the kitchen staff and said there was nothing she could do, it would be 30 mins. I explained again that in 30 mins time, she would probably be unconscious as her blood sugar would have gone through the floor but no accommodation was made. I asked to speak to the duty manager at which point a first aider arrived and arranged for our food to be delivered more promptly. However, we had to sit outside in the cold and rain. Not only an unpleasant experience but actually downright dangerous. Clearly an untrained, unknowledgeable workforce who have no capacity to listen and make necessary adjustments. Quite shocking in the world we live in.

Breakfast at 3 legged cross is superb

Breakfast at 3 legged cross is superb, have tried couple times and cannot fault the food, service and speed of food to table considering the vast volume of people attending 1/2 price breakfast. Outstanding value, staff working very hard, exceptional team, still smiling despite workload.

RESTAURANT IN HILLIERS SUNNINGDALE

RESTAURANT IN HILLIERS SUNNINGDALE
Last week I had fantastic "promotional 1/2 price breakfast" I complimented young man on everything, the place was heaving with people at 10.30 am. Food was fresh and well presented, portions very generous. Pot of tea was a bliss.
What a contrast tody. I came at 09.15 and only few tables were occupied. Even before I had my food, I had to repremand the young lady ( big glasses, fringes and long ponytail) when she was giving me my mug of tea ( no pot this time, even though, it is printed on your voucher) she was actually holding the rim of the mug, the rim where I would be drinking my tea from, I pointed it out to her and the reason for the fresh mug of tea, no apology was offered to me, she certainly needs training in basic hygiene. Cutlery that she handed to me was dirty and she had to give me a clean set. Whilst waiting for my food, I was observing staf behind the counter and was utterly dismayed at their behaviour. Young lady with black hair and ponytail, not only was she chewing the gum at such a speed I would not be surprised if her gums were hurting, but than she proceeded to play with her ponytail and she would drop any loose hair onto the floor. Scene was so bad I had to pinch my self to convince my self it is actual real.....
Food arrived prity quickly but what disappointment?
Bacon was cold and hard, sausages were tepid,
one of the sunny side eggs, the yolk was broken and spilled, other yolk was hard and dipping my toast into it was not an option.
I am an ex hotelier and service and hygiene especially around the food is non negotiable, there are only 2 standards, no standards or standards, and the staff in restaurant this morning exhibited the lack of standards and gross lack of hygiene. Furthermore, chewing the gum in this environment is definite a big NO. What a let down, will ve be avoiding this restaurant as their hygiene "standards" are not very hygienic.....

Condescending attitude of specific…

Condescending attitude of specific counter service staff. Approach and response to enquiries regarding food/beverage/ table direction request was unexpectedly disappointing and unnecessary. Overall, given this was a first visit, made for a poor customer user experience and unlikely return.

Came today for breakfast offer which other companies are doing in the area aswell order at 9.38 and food on table at 9.42 how can u cook FRESH food that fast, cold mushrooms, hard bacon, beans served in paper pot and about a spoonfull and if u can get ur teeth through the toast well done. The women at the till gave us the voucher back to use again, no mention of if we had any allergies which i believe you have to ask this by law now. I would rather pay full price elsewhere and have fresh food. We was sat by the kitchen and could see the chef using his hands to put things on the plate this does not stop cross contamination or people with allergies getting ill

Andover Centre

Andover Centre. Went there for lunch on a Friday. Paid £42 for a couple jacket potatoes and drinks! Staff were miserable and food quality was poor. Gona down hill since it was taken over from Rosebournes. Don't waste your money

Chichester Garden Center

Chichester Garden Center. A great centre going down hill fast. After years of shopping at this centre we needed a birdbath for a Christmas present. This centre stocked zero. On asking staff where they were a very embarrassed staff member informed us that Head Office did all the ordering and the centre had no say. We went to a smaller centre near by and they had properly 20 different ones to choose from. Stayed there and ate too. In no rush to go back to Hilliers as was better quality, cheaper and friendlier staff who were upbeat.

Excellent Service "Josh"

A friend and I visited Hilliers Garden Centre "Hermitage, West Berks".
We decided to have a coffee, and what a delight! A young man "Josh" served us at the counter, and we both agreed, excellent service from Josh, he was professional, helpful and quick. What a difference this makes. (We did make a point of telling him b4 we left).

Last Sunday my sister & I had a really tasty & very well presented Christmas lunch .
We were really impressed by the service.
The lunch was served by Hayley . Who was really friendly & nothing was too much trouble for her .
It was so reasonably priced as well.
It also included dessert. Plus a lovely dressed table

Just dreadful

Just dreadful, what happened to this garden centre that used to be the wonderful Rosebourne. The restaurant was terrible, with a dreadful ordering system, expensive mediocre food, half of it served lukewarm. It used to be a lovely place with waitress service and homemade food. Now it’s becoming a self service cafe.

Merry?-Weather, "Dog groomers"

NOTE; Love of a Pound note, yes it's not the cheapest and busy so one has to be prompt and abide by certain rules. Can't fault workmanship but that sharp practice does contrast up against our loving Pets.

Restaurant mince pies

Restaurant mince pies. My god what made you pick this and think customers would love them. Go to a supermarket, any supermarket and my their own brand mince pies. Theirs have double the filling and come in packs of 6 for less then what you sell 1 for.
I had one and seriously couldn't taste any filling. It wasn't a one off either as my partner had one also and it looked just as pathetic filling wise
