Love Honor but there are flaws!

Ok, first of all, I am a fan of Honor, previously had Huawei devices and when they were banned from Google Services, the next best thing was Honor.
I've had the Honor View 20, Magic 5 Pro, currently have the Magic V3 and just bought a Magic Pad 2 (refurb).

Honestly, I think they have great build and software, so why the three star review????

On the Honor website, if you leave a glowing review they post it, but if you leave anything less then they don't, which is just misleading and petty.
In my case, I left a positive review but made a recommendation that they need secure biometrics on their tablets because none of their tablets have it, not even their £500 flagships.
They didn't post my review and its just so petty!

If Honor really want to compete with the big boys, they need to take on honest feedback and act upon it.

Plenty of bad reviews on here about their CS, I've not had to use them, so can't comment on how bad they are, but I don't doubt the experiences stated.

Beware of misleading offers

I ordered the new Magic Pad 4 on release day. Usual mass of offers with it including free keyboard and pencil. When it arrived every thing was fine EXCEPT missing the above. Phoned customer services. They said I had ordered the wrong item, and I should have ordered a Pad that cost £50 more to get the free items. I said if you have to pay £50, they are not free. Offered £30 voucher, which didn't work when attempted to use it. 6 days later, no sign of any progress with Honor. Lovely tablet, misleading false advertising of offers, poor customer services response. If in doubt, order by phone, ask about ALL the deals you think it comes with and take the name of the person you talk to.
UPDATE: Customer services behaving like AI (without the I) repeatedly sending screenshots re WiFi range to " prove" their point re deals. However, the £30 off voucher got me a keyboard for £50, which I'm not happy about but I didn't want the tablet without. I'm extremely unimpressed by their customer services and programmed moron personae. Just make sure you get a team of lawyers to analyse the small print before buying from Honor.

Happy about product and would definitely buy again.

This morning after my Honor MagicPad has updated to Android 16 I was thinking that I am really pleased and happy about Honor devices. I had Samsung then moved to OnePlus and then moved to Honor Magic 7 Pro phone and tablet. Bought as a bundle also received 100w charger and wireless charger which is also very powerful i think is 80W. The sound quality from both devices are very good and can be very oud. Picture quality are very nice. Have recommended to my causing which is heppy too.

I contacted Honor support via my Honor…

I contacted Honor support via my Honor phone asking why the system build in app FM Radio do not work when I follow their instruction to have a USB c for audio jack connect and it do not work. The support asked me to provided them a video recording and I need to have another audio to test. I found that this is unreasonable and only adding problems to customer but not direct helping customer to sort out the problem.
Finally, I may found the answer, The Honor lite 400 model does not support FM radio hardware, so the app will not function.
I do not know why the Honor support could not tell me directly if this is the case?

Missing MagicPad2 and terrible customer service!

I ordered a MagicPad2 on Tuesday 24th February from Honor. On Thursday I received a free Bluetooth Keyboard but no MagicPad2.

On notifying them, they asked for photos of the box, contents etc which i supplied. They said they will carry out an investigation. I contacted the police and supplied them with a police report.

It is now March 05th and I still have not received my item. Will ask for a refund tomorrow. Morale of the story is to AVOID Honor. The customer service is terrible, some emails you receive back from them are generic.

Customer Service and actual service is a joke

I ordered a phone as my one had stopped taking and making phone calls. I ordered because it seemed like a good phone, and they had a deal on at the time, which was a good one and I was happy with my purchase.

However, I didn't get a phone, instead they sent me a tablet.

I contacted customer service, let them know I had the wrong item and to send my phone asap as I am without a working phone, and I will return the tablet I have no use for.

They started asking for pictures, serial numbers etc and told me they had to do an investigation before they would send out my phone. (Which is not my responsibility that they made an error, and I dont see why it couldn't have been done after I returned the tablet)
This took a week.

THEN they arranged the return BEFORE sending my phone out, (after I waited a week for the initial 'phone' delivery btw, and the second week to do their investigation) and said they would ship the phone once they recieved the tablet first.

I can't even get what I've paid for without doing work for them, honestly would have been better off keeping quiet, selling the tablet on ebay and using the money to buy another phone.

Why would I keep an item that I didn't want, need or order? Why are they scared I'd keep it when I was the one to let them know I had it in the first place? If I was going to pinch it I wouldn't have made them aware.

But this is the price you pay for doing the right thing I guess.

Oh and when I asked for compensation for all this hassle (and honestly, going 2 weeks without a working phone when I absolutely needed it) they only offered a £30 voucher, no transfer, no cheque, not taken off the price of what I ordered. Nope. A voucher for their shop that I certainly won't be using ever again.

And the customer service rep took the piss out of me when I asked for the compensation, he was switched out by the next email.

Don't get me wrong, I've worked in CS all my life, I know what its like to get a shitty customer, but at that point, I hadn't been rude or nasty, I had just mentioned I thought the rigmarole they were asking for was a bit out of line considering they were holding the item I paid for until they had me do their shit work for them.
(I didn't use profanity at this point, and even now after all this the worst I have said is that they are taking the piss, which they absolutely are)
Even then, I know the individuals are just doing their job and its the company policies and their terrible dispatch practices that I'm pissed off with.

It was honor 400 lite btw, I'd do a review but I still haven't got it. And probably won't for god knows how long.

Honestly avoid, cant even find cute cases for their phones anyway.

Terrible customer service - too much waffle and lies

SBE Repair Reference: 1-31-10-7771019-001
My phone has developed a pink line on the inner screen after 14 months of very gentle use. The phone is pristine. I am now in my 3rd week without my phone - V3. This is a flapship phone and the service - lies I have been told are not acceptable. If I don't get resolution by 4pm 12 Feb 26 I will be forwarding a letter before action and then commencing an online claims against the company. Wonderful phone - until it went wrong. UPDATE: My phone was returned to me on Tuesday 17th, fixed and in the same condition I sent it. The whole process took 3 weeks which isn't acceptable but I now have a working phone again.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Received a faulty product, was denied a replacement at first, repair came back with the same issue untouched after THREE WEEKS, then was told replacement can only be done within the first 14 days of receiving the product. Impressive how incredibly wrong this is.

Bad experience with HONOR Malaysia:

My experience with HONOR Malaysia:
Sent my MagicPad 3 for inspection due to a bulge. HONOR blamed a minor knock from weeks earlier (no bulge at the time), provided no written technical explanation, and dismissed safety concerns without documentation. Device came back with new marks/holes from servicing, but no repair or compensation was offered. Now escalating via consumer protection channels.

Honor Supercharger

I bought Honor Magic 7 with Supercharger, mobile pone seems OK overall, although there are some screen problems but Supercharger did not charge at all although I restarted, checked software and smart connection. Phone charged quicker without Supercharger. Contacted customer services with no response. I feel scammed. The price for these items was high, so I assumed that quality would be good. Very disappointing.

Cheats

I purchased a Honor 400 Pro and two Honor Majic 8 phones from Three Broadway store.

Absolute rubbish company.
Float offers to lure customers and refuse the promised offer once the device is purchase.
My advice don't buy Honor especially from Three network.
I have been requesting for a return pack to send my trade-in device.
Have to remind Three and it's Ingram team 4 times as I have not received the pack to return device.

Now Ingram / Three is sending me texts and emails that the trade-in offer will expire if device is not returned.

Three Bradford played the trick by sending the wrong device details ( Sony Xperia Arc S ) for one of the trade-in phones as a result Ingram has refused cashback.

A Big scam is what it is.

Scammers.

Absolute scammers like others have said. No matter what information you provide for a postal repair it will always be advised its FOC *subject to inspection*. So if you tell honor you have a broken screen and they reply with FOC you would expect on inspection if it is a broken screen to be repaired FOC. This is not the case as they will then say its not FOC and supply a cost instead. They do this as after you have spent potentially hours backing up and packaging the phone you are more likely to agree to the charge as they have it their possession. However, if they gave you a price before sending you will probably not send it. And they have the audacity to call themselves Honor, absolute disgrace. Repair number SBE Ref 1-31-14-7740158-001
