H&H Self Drive Van Hire Reviews 

I have hired a van for 3 days, the booking was for 8am but I have started the hire at 10am. When I took the van I've been told that as I started at 10 I can return at 10.
The day of the return I have received calls to check if I'm on the way as they need the van back.
It was 8:00am when he started calling non stop to say he have someone to hire the van I've tried to explain that im on the way and sitting in traffic but anyway I have the van up to 10am.
When I've arrived at 9am(and hour earlier) Steve was very rude towards us and commented the van is fine, and everything fine but i will charge you £15 for arriving late.
I've tried to explain that we took the van at 10 and the return is 10 like the guy told me when we took the van.
His response was very rude and didn't want to listen.
The van hire was anyway expensive compared to other companies which I didn't mind, but the attitude of this guy and how rude he was, no way I would go back to use their service again or recommend them to anyone.

H&H Van Hire staff and service are, quite simply, first class. The service was excellent at every stage, from booking all the way through to returning the vehicle. They always put the customer first. I had a few challenges during my van hire and H&H staff were there to help me. Even though the problems were nothing to do with the H&H service, they went out of their way to help. That's the mark of a really good company. If only other companies worked the same way. Thank you again to all of the staff at H&H.

H&H are just so no nonsense and easy to work with! I had to increase my rental by a day and it was effortless.

I've found H&H to be really organised and communicative and the site and the vans are all in great condition. I have used them twice now for day hire for vans, nearly went out of London to hire but value was good enough I didn't need to, and they seemed a lot easier to deal with that a few other companies I contacted. I rented a Luton bodied Transit over the bank Holiday weekend. Everything was perfect, very helpful staff on the phone [Kelly?]. Super quick collection and out of hours return.

Easy and clear website which helped me choose which van I needed. A helpful person on the phone resolved a query that I had about licences and did not make me feel stupid. Approachable team in the office when I went to pick up the van. Van was spotlessly clean and the whole process was really smooth.

We hired a van from H&H to drive to the North of England. The van had a fault in the cooling system and in the computer system which lead to the van losing power continually on the journey back. The company were dismissive of my request for any recompense for hiring a van that was not roadworthy. I would not recommend this company to anyone

The best service I have ever had from a van hire company, by MILES. The whole process was seamless, the staff were really helpful and courteous and the vehicle was perfect, as well as competitively-priced. Just returned a van which we hired for a weekend. Was very impressed with the procedures they have in place for covid! Van was clean - I was asked to send my licence and information in advance via email to avoid it being handled on collection. Lady who served me in the office was very good at making sure everything was sanitised. Made me feel a lot more at ease especially driving a vehicle that wasn't my own! Thank you H&H

Criminals, store card details without authorisation, Charge your card without autorisation, when questioned how they hold card details and why you they charge you without permission they will not respond. The director of the business removed a vehicle during hire while all cost were paid in advance with no explanation because they we unable to put in writing why they just take money off a card they do not have permission to do so. I would strongly advise not using this company they are unprofessional and rip off merchants. Still no refund for the time left on the rental. made to pay £750 recovery on a vehicle we were also charge £500 for an excess total taken out of the bank £1250 without permission then because the director didn't like us wanting answers in writing to the illegal activities turns up and removes the vehicle saying we will get a refund and if we don't had the keys over he will take it and charge us again for a key. needless to say NO Refund and now being ignored. Stay away from these guys.

I called up H&H to book a short wheel base Transit, unfortunately they were fully booked for SWB on the days I wanted but offered me a long wheel base at no extra cost.

Because of COVID-19 they asked for copies of all documentation in advance meaning that when I turned up they could offer a very safe and fast service. Their was plenty of sanitiser available and the staff member on the desk was really helpful.

The van was in very good condition, clean and easy to drive. Unfortunately, through no fault of H&H, the van broke down during the hire period, but H&H provided very clear instructions on how to get this dealt with by the RAC and were very helpful in arranging a replacement to allow me to finish the job.

Genuinely the best service I have ever had from a car/van hire company and all at reasonable rates.

I was very impressed by the service at H&H. The price was extremely reasonable. The van was clean and new and easy to drive. Steve gave me very good advice (I was a virgin van driver) to ensure the van and I travelled safely. Everything ran smoothly and I highly recommend them as a company

The Hired van they provided me with that no hand brake and barely enough tread on the tyres. The vehicle rolled back when parked and got a slight dent on the top where it hit a post. The top of the van already had several similar knocks roughly in the same area which had obviously been charged for but not repaired. When I gave the van back and told them the hand brake was not working at all the guy said ' tell me something I don't know' which is very unprofessional. I asked for the invoice and proof for the repairs, which has not been carried out and was told to re hirer the van and get the repair done myself. They took the money from my account without notifying me, and without my consent. Pay a bit more and go with a professional outfit.

Hired a low-loader for a Saturday removals run. The van was great and pretty much brand new. The staff were very helpful and couldn’t be friendlier. Went out of the way to help when no vans were available from my nearest branch to say I could return it there. Cheaper than the competition and very reliable too. Would highly recommend them and would 100% use them again.

Excellent vehicle and service. The booking procedure was trouble free, prices are fair, and the modern van was scrupulously clean. Hassle-free return procedure. Friendly, helpful expert service throughout. Will definitely use in future.
