I joined HealthyWage in April 2024, wagering $50/month to go from 290.4 to 200.4 lbs by June 2025. I stayed committed for 15 months, paid a total of $750—and hit my goal! I was rewarded with $2,829,... See more

HealthyWage really motivated me to achieve my goal weight. Payout was simple and straightforward. The step challenges are also great, they keep me on track.

I like HealthyWage. It is not a scam, but I recommend approaching it with caution. I am not a gambler so that was not the issue, and I do think betting on oneself is a good idea. The support I received was great. I paid $10/month for a 6-month program and seeing it on my credit card every month kept it top of mind from a financial standpoint. HW also provides current nutritional information and behavior strategies. I extended my program twice and came within 2 lbs. of my goal. Now for the negatives: when I extended my plan again I accidentally paid the $60 all at once so no longer saw it on my monthly statement. I missed the next extension and lost the money:( I emailed and I probably missed their answer which I'm sure was "no." They tried to get me back and I waited until they offered a $250 bonus. It got more expensive - something like $20/month for 10 months so that's how they get you. I look at it this way though: $10 or $20/month is way more than I would have to pay to join a gym that I probably would not go to. My point is that the program is a form of support, encouragement from people in similar situations, and accountability. For that I will gladly pay $20/month. I'm still confident that I will reach my goal and collect $, but it will be a net loss of $. That's ok because they have to make money to stay in business. They win some and they lose some.

HealthyWage is a huge motivation for me to eat healthy and exercise. Monetary risk is the only thing that seems to work for me these days. I have made several hundred dollars in profits from HealthyWagers in the past, and when I win my current challenge, I will be up a couple hundred more (and now they let you buy extra time, so you can still make out well or at least recoup your investment even if you don't quite meet your goal in the initial time period you set). If you know that monetary profit/loss would be a motivator for you, then HealthyWage will definitely help you lose weight. Just be aware that winning is not guaranteed unless you actually do the work, and you are honest with yourself about how much you can lose in a given time frame, and whether money will really motivate you. As the company advises, don't put in money that you would be screwed if you lose, and, at the very least, you will have subscribed to a monthly weight loss program to get you that much closer to your goal.

So far, I have lost more than 30 pounds and feel healthier and stronger! I have joined 17 other challenges besides my main personal challenge (Healthywager). This has been so beneficial to keep me on track! I enjoy all the encouragement from the coaches and other participants along the way in my other challenges! It has been very motivational to have $ on the line! My brother put the funds in up front for me, so I have an added incentive to pay him back! I have only 7 pounds left to go and about a month before my final weigh-out! It’s very exciting!!

Healthy Wage step challenge helped me to stay on track and get my steps in. It was a fun environment to keep track of my team's progress and it allowed us to encourage each other to be better.

This is a great company with a lot of upbeat wonderful positive and clear speaking Customer Service reps. Especially Laura… Every time I was confused or anxious they answered my questions and helped me to understand better. They are always there with upbeats attitudes. And yes, having money on the line is definitely a good way of incentivizing me. It took me 2 1/2 years but you know what I made it. I bet myself nine months and $450 ( my original investment) that I would lose 43 pounds. Yes I had to pay for extensions several times but I knew what they entailed. I invested $1350 of my own money but I won $1522. A profit of $172.

I have a great experience using HealthyWage to help me with my fitness goals. It kept me accountable and it was legit when I won for the first time last year, and with all the other times I won this year. The app is useful too!

I started my first HealthyWager challenge 01/30/2024, betting $252 that I would lose 48 pounds. Six months later and 50 pounds lighter, I submitted my weigh-out verification video in app, and *BAM* my winnings were paid to my healthy wage account the next day. I decided to roll a portion of those winnings back into a new 6-month challenge, and I cashed out the rest as a check. HealthyWage even waives the $7 check issuance fee if you arrange with their social media team to email a photo of yourself holding the winnings check for HeathyWage's marketing purposes.

I reached (and exceeded!) my weight loss goal of 50 lbs in 8 months, without medication or difficult diet change. I've kept the weight off. I used the money for a trip to Denver to see my favorite musicians at Red Rocks! The support is subtle, but so helpful. Highly recommended!

I love this website and it's app because it encouraged me to work out while also getting paid.

I love the motivation this program gives me. My scale hadn't moved in about 6 months. I joined 2 challenges and with the support suggestions and the desire to win my scale is moving again. Thanks to the coaches for all the suggestions and encouragement!

I used HealthyWage last year to help me lose 30 pounds. I won two bets! I found out that I was pregnant at the beginning of this year while I was in the middle of two new challenges, but I was able to pause the bet until I am able to start working out again. I am happy with the app because it was what I needed to motivate me to keep at it and reach my weight loss goals. I tried other methods to help me lose weight, but I think when there is money involved, you feel like winning!

I've been using HealthyWage since 2020 and I've always won cash and lost weight whenever I participated in a Step Challenge. It's a great motivator to get active. HealthyWage also has great customer service. I've always received prompt responses to my questions.

They are supportive to the dieter. I am very financially motivated so I did not want to lose the money I bet on myself. Everything is very clear if you take the time to read the rules.
