Poor response from the hotel due to a medical emergency

This is a very poor hotel. It clearly does not give an option for a refund if your partner has a medical emergency on the day that they come so I’ve had had correspondence with Booking and the hotel. The hotel has been very rude in the matter so I will not be going to this hotel again unlessthey show me with some decent decency and give me a full refund due to the medical emergency that my partner had which she nearly died from

Manager NOt to be trusted

I booked a room at this hotel for my wife. When I made the booking, it appeared that the reservation did not go through. So I made the reservation again.
Then I received the confirmation, which ended up with reserving 2 rooms, which I did not need, needing only 1 Room.
Within 30 mins we were at the hotel and explained the situation to the Manager, who promised he will try to sort it out with Booking.com.
Later the manager said he could not do anything about it.
I have emails from Booking.com confirming that they did explain the situation and requesting the hotel to accept the cancellation and full refund.
Booking,com advised by email that the hotel declined the request.
