Happy Bird Contract Farming is very good. I've been together for 27 months. I'm making good money
Taken to a table but then told I’d have to order at the counter anyway, which I had assumed, but why take me to the table (which I had to move from as it was in the line of a freezing draught) in the first place?
Ordered a lunchbox. Chicken breast and chicken leg with fries and sauce. Was told after 10 minutes that it would be another 7 as they hadn’t cooked enough chicken legs. They did give me some chicken wings to keep me occupied, but I didn’t really want more chicken than I’d ordered...
So 15 mins later it arrived after a couple of confused enquires about what I’d ordered, without a chicken breast, but two chicken legs. When I queried this, a vague excuse about miscalculating was muttered. As far as I’m aware, chicken breasts are a bit more expensive than legs...
The tarragon sauce was over powering and bitter, the legs were as tough as rubber and the whole thing left me with an unpleasantly bitter aftertaste which smacked of burnt cooking oil. Appreciate the concept but the experience was far too painful for me to consider giving it another go.
