Stayed at the Hall Garth Hotel in Durham for 2 weeks whilst working in Darlington. Amazing hotel along a country lane overlooking a golf course. Bedroom spot on, quiet & get a good nights sleep. Breakfast served very nice, (full English or Vegetarian, Continental, yoghurts, cereal, fruit). I enjoyed my evening meals and happen to stay during Darlington Restaurant Week and Indian Food was served as their promotion. A three course meal for only £20. I happened to meet their happy chef Sainto, who cooked/prepared my Indian meals according to my taste. Thank you. Also Bar staff, Restaurant Manager, Receptionists all friendly, polite and helpful. Will definitely stay again when working in Darlington. 5*

Hallgarth Manor now called Sixty -One Durham gets 5*Stars from us - I booked a Valentines special deal staying on 16th February and found the whole experience excellent! From the very first call to discuss the available options to checking in with Christine on reception, the staff were professional warm and welcoming. We had booked dinner in the newly launched restaurant and after enjoying the complimentary bottle of fizz in our room went to the bar for a drink before being shown to our table, the décor, music and lighting was perfect for any grown up night out and the service from Maria who ran front of house was first class and only surpassed by 5 courses of top quality food, perfectly cooked and presented! Great value for money with excellent food - I'll definitely be back and certainly recommend it! Keep up the great work!
