Thank you for such wonderful customer service. I had forgotten to include my discount voucher when I paid for my order. I immediately contacted customer service who very kindly added this to my order and refunded me the difference. Thank you so much

Too late I noticed an incorrect…

Too late I noticed an incorrect delivery address on my order, some random address that is somehow connected to my Shopify account, so I quickly emailed Hairhouse support who immediately got back to me assuring me that they had now corrected my delivery address, my products would arrive to my correct address and there should be no future issues. Thank you Cadia for your prompt, professional response.

Package update

I have been emailing back and forth with Alicia from the customer care team and she’s been absolutely incredible. She was able to get the second half of my package located, she’s now put it with my first order and has gotten it so both packages are delivered on the same day.
She has gone above and beyond with what I had even asked and I can’t be more thankful for the amazing job she did

I took my 11yr old daughter for her…

I took my 11yr old daughter for her first colour half her hair red. We paid $550 for pinky orange with hints of red.
After talking with hairhouse warehouse customer service they seem not to care that they did not give us what we asked. Mixing the darkish red uses certain colours. To get pinky orange again certain colours. They made the decision to give my daughter what they wanted and not what we asked for. Is it child abuse to permanently give a child without their permission or the parents the colour they want? If they don’t fix this I feel charges should be placed of the person who did this. What are you thoughts because we need help with this

Buyer beware

Buyer beware! The ‘free’ piercing service that they advertise is not free! This important detail was not mentioned to me during any of the phone calls I made regarding the offer. The word ‘free’ was emphasised. In fact, you have to purchase their jewellery which is priced significantly higher than anywhere else. Kaz, the staff member I dealt with was fantastic. Top marks for her competent and friendly service. Still, I think that the company ought to be ashamed of their trickery which amounts to scamming in my opinion.

HORRIFYING!

HORRIFYING!! I wish I could give this place 0 stars! I went in to get a full head of highlights to get my regrowth fixed. I was left with extremely damaged hair, way more than I’ve ever experienced when getting my hair coloured before. It’s fully broken in many places and now I’m left to deal with what looks like baby hairs all over. And worst part is that I still have two different colours in my hair. The part that she coloured is still way darker than the rest of my hair and it’s very patchy. I tried calling and emailing and got the response to go back to the store. I went back and they booked me in the week after to fix it. A few days later I get a call saying they don’t believe I was at the salon because they can’t find my old booking. I tell them the time and date and then suddenly, there it was. Then they tell me that I’m going to have to pay to get their mistake fixed. I ask why and they say because it’s been more than 7 days. I tell them that I called and emailed the day after I got it done and went in to the store within the 7 days. They just answer “okay we’ll call you tomorrow and let you know”. I hear nothing the next day so the day after I call them. They tell me that they will give me a call back that same day. I never hear a word. When I finally come in for my time a few days later she tells me that she can try fixing it but that my hair is probably going to get really dry and damaged and she doesn’t recommend it. Or I can leave and they do NOTHING to fix it or compensate me for ruining my hair. I basically paid 270$ to get my hair damaged. They also tried telling me that this was my fault and that this is what it’s supposed to look like. Absolute joke and I will never be back.

Mandatory charges for services not received.

I have been going to the DFO salon in Westcourt for the past 3yrs, always seeing Skye except for the last time, when I saw Samara as Skye had left. I'm quite fussy about how my hair is cut and coloured, and was always happy with the result. The last time however, I noticed a charge on my receipt a couple of days later of $10 for a treatment that I didn't have.
I rang the salon and spoke to one of the ladies about it, and was told this was a standard charge and that I had been charged this fee every visit. This upset me as I only ever had the treatment on the first visit. I had agreed with Skye on my 2nd visit that my hair (fine, thin and short) didn't require a treatment after highlights, shampoo and conditioner were enough, as the treatment weighed my hair down. I mentioned this to the lady and she said she would ask the area manager to contact me. I didn't hear anything within a reasonable time frame, and had to call back several times, the last of which I was told that the area manager had had a family emergency and had asked the store manager, Josh, to call me. (I don't understand why Josh rather than someone in administration, as my problem is with the $10 charge, not my haircuts, highlights or the hairdressers in the DFO salon.)
When I still hadn't heard back from anyone after a few weeks, I called the salon once again and the lady said Josh was there and would speak with me then.
I began the conversation by telling him I had no problems with my hair or the hairdressers, but with a mandatory (as I was told) charge for a service I didn't receive.
Instead of listening to what I had to say he argued with me, insisting that I HAD had the treatments. He learned from Samara that I had not had the treatment when she did my hair (very well, I must say) the last time, and offered me my $10 back. When I pointed out the several other times I had been charged this fee for a service I did not receive, he got immediately defensive and became abusive, telling me that I HAD had those treatments, that I was a bad customer and that I was no longer welcome at the salon.
4 stars for the salon itself, but minus 5 stars for bad business practices, lack of communication and zero customer support.

A really fun employee named Ana

There’s was a really good staff member named Ana* (unsure how it’s spelt) and she was really awesome. She would talk about experiences between you and herself, making the entire session feel fun and exciting. Give her a raise

Great online customer service

When ordering online I inadvertently chose the click and collect option. I realised this after placing the order and sent an email to customer service. Within minutes I received a reply and the change to shipping was made. The parcel was prepared the same day, shipping was quick, I was kept informed and the price of the product was very competitive. I will certainly be buying from Hairhouse again.

I asked for head of foils and root colour

I asked for head of foils, slight root tap, I showed my stylist a photo to roughly show her. I told her I throw alot of warmth. My hair has alot of warmth in it, which I did not want. My stylist did try different toners but nothing worked, plus it ended up costing ,$380.00, I have fine medium length hair. The first price i was quoted was $280.00 roughly front front end staff member, then my stylist said 350.00 which also included a kertase treatment. It ended up with no treatment and costing me $380.00, I am so disappointed and hate my hair too. Do not get me wrong my specialist was very friendly but never ever again.

DO NOT SHOP OR WORK HERE

I don't normally leave reviews but the behaviour we witnessed yesterday from what appears to be the owner of the Bendigo store was absolutely disgusting! He barged into the store getting up close to his staff members yelling and swearing at them calling them stupid and demanding them to come into work when deathly sick. To take medication and wear a mask he yelled. This abusive behaviour towards your own staff members is appalling. It's a wonder anyone continues to work there. Every few months or so there is always new staff and this explains alot if the girls are continually abused by the owner. The store struggles to get products on the shelves for a number of brands for months at a time. Management of this store is terrible!!!

So hit and miss depending on the store and assistant

It is unfortunately so hit and miss at Hairhouse. The Terrigal store seemed so unwelcoming and the advice I received, upon checking Google and then another Hairhouse store, was completely wrong!
Then, I had absolutely fabulous service from Philippa at Chatswood store. The outcome of her advice to correct horrible salon completed highlights, also wasn't exactly what I needed.
Finally, Lisa at Erina gave me some simple guidance on how to correct my colour at home, and the colour she recommended is perfect.

Had an absolutely terrible experience…

Had an absolutely terrible experience after supporting this store at Cairns Central Shopping Centre for the entire time it's been here. The staff member was probably the worst customer service representative that I've come across ever. She argued with me and tried to give me a colour that I know I would never use or that even came close to the colour I was after, that I had purchased from this same store and recommended by a helpful worker a few months earlier. I did not ask for her advice or assistance however her tone was short snappy and extremely impatient. The incident drew the attention of other customers who later addressed me as they were also shocked. I ended up going back to the shop to ask her name and the girl at the counter told me that her name was Dee and that "she is the owner" I was honestly horrified and was hesitant to try another venue of this franchise as I really didn't want to support this outlet if this was what the owner reflects in the business where other people share the same name of the store. I was then given excellent. Service at the Smithfield branch and spent nearly $300 there. The woman who served me was so helpful, knowledgable and what should be a given in any establishment. The experience has really left a bad taste in my mouth at the store in Cairns central and they have lost my business for life I'd that is the owner then this attitude from her sets the tone for the whole shop. I'm not sure how one even would own a shop with such an attitude. The customers who were in the shop also heard smug remarks after I left from the workers about me refusing to spend my money and support them so I think it's a terrible tone to set especially before Christmas.
