Initial experience was poor background noise made conversation impossible. The call was rearranged with video. Perfect, excellent call. Now let's see when I get paid for my time. The star rating may well then go up.....

It's a scam, insisted on me providing financial information about the revenue split of my former employer. When for the 4th time I mentioned that I am not at liberty to share any confidential information, the client decided I was not the right fit. Even though initially they wanted to proceed with a consultation.

First, there are ample opportunities. Second, guidepoint representatives are respectful, courteous and understanding. Third, I enjoy my sessions with clients and I hope they are satisfied.

I do have a long (approx. 30 years) industrial global, esp. EMEA and Americas, expertise on C-level mainly focusing on IT, AI, Energy, Defence, Robotics, from an operational and strategic point of view.

Each of the consultations has gone very well and very smoothly. Payment has also arrived on time, and each project has generally been positive. The only drawback I would say is that the questions prior to each consultation can take a little bit of time. I think they should provide compensation for the amount of prep that goes into the consultations as well. Other than that, it has been a generally good experience.

I think Guidepoint provides a lot of great consulting opportunities; but given the low percentage of those that become actually paid encounters (compared to other expert networks), Guidepoint needs to tighten up the selection processes and possibly prefill out forms when possible. That would make it easier to respond to the numerous queries they send through. Overall, the staff are great, Guidepoint pays quickly, and has a generous hourly rate for most experts.

My profile with this company is up tp date and they used to contact me with relevant assignments. However for the past year I am approached about random assignments that, if you read my profile, you would understand that I have no expertise in the area. Moreover when there is an assignment which may be relevant to my expertise, there is always a lengthy questionnaire, after which they inform you that they have already filled their requirement. So they seem not to prequalify their experts and then ask their expert network to effectively waste their time. The final straw came when they informed me, erroneously, that I was associated with a particular company whose emplyees are not permitted to work with Guidepoint. Three weeks ago I informed them of their error, with supporting documentati0on,. but have heard nothing since. I am surprised that others have such positive experiences.

Engaging with Guidepoint is a real fluent flow via their digital tools. Everything works as expected and is pretty fast.
