Grono Deck problems

I have experienced excessive shrinkage, warping and sagging with this product?
I attribute the problems predominantly to sunlight as those planks less affected (or indeed unaffected) are in more shaded areas. Planks have been shrinking by up to 15mm in length over a period of 3 years and everything was installed as per the Manufacturer’s specifications.
I purchased the product with a 25 year guarantee through a local (National) Building supply Merchant and have learned that the Manufacturer Grono Deck actually went into liquidation in 2021 but that the product (and Guarantee presumably) was supplied through an associate Company, Grono Lawns, which also went into liquidation in 2023. Therefore, after 3 years since its installation I am left without any Warranty. As this product is still appearing for sale, I would advise anyone considering buying it, to ensure they are covered by a credible Warranty.

Useless customer service

I used this product for a customers decking back in April 2021, we used this product supplied by a local trusted merchant for the supposed durability and warranty on the product.
Sadly as we have found out after several boards splitting staff at grono fail to contact us time and time again it has now been over 12 months of attempted resolution and still not received any response as to what is going to happen. My local merchant C & W Berry have been great and have tried to get them to contact myself but with not much luck.

Looking at the other review below it looks as if i am not the only one who has had similar issues with Grono’s useless service.

I CERTAINLY WOULD NEVER BUY THEIR PRODUCTS AGAIN DUE TO THE FAILED SERVICE. Horrific experience.

DO NOT BUY GRONO COMPOSITE DECKING

Had grono decking installed in November 2020. By summer 2022 I had spots appearing all over my decking. Grono sent a sale rep named Rory out to my house who told me the spots should not have appeared and not to worry my boards are covered for 25 years. Since his visit I’ve had little to no correspondence until receiving an email today saying sorry speak to Jewsons who I bought decking from even although Grono are the manufacturer. £1000’s on decking that’s ruined after 2 years and they aren’t interested. Shocking customer service.

Update:
The customer service manager at grono is refusing to speak to me on the phone and thinks replying to me by email is sufficient. What sort of customer service manager doesn’t speak to the customer on the phone!
