Don’t believe the reviews—this lawn mower is not worth it. The battery life is terrible. My yard is small, and I can’t even get halfway through before it dies. You’ll end up constantly recharging or spending hundreds on extra batteries. Save your money and just get a gas mower.

I regret buying from Greenworks

Avoid. Poor customer service. I bought a grass trimmer that failed after just a couple of uses. It was replaced, but the replacement broke again. I’ve been trying to contact customer service for over a week with no response. I regret buying from Greenworks.

Needed a part for a dethather so i went…

Needed a part for a dethather so i went to the website that offered the part i needed but was out of stock but referred to a conversion kit.
With no details as to when the stock would be replenished and no details on the conversion kit, I resorted to the chat line, well that was little to no help at all
Then searched the web for their customer service line, called, on hold forever, then was forced to leave a call back number. Within 15 minutes, I was talking to a real customer service person.
Well, that was an experience, spoke softly so i couldn't hear, was not knowledgeable AT All! Told me everything I found out on the website, she probably used the website as her reference tool, part was not available in Canada and was told to use google to find out where i could buy it from, no idea about when or ever the part would be restock. Then I pursued to get info on the conversion kit that comes up in the webpage when I search for my needed part, first she said the kit didnt exist on the website, after some pushback by me, alas she found it but told me it was not for my model, interesting why it comes it when I search for my part on the site???
Product is excellent BUT my customer service experience was TERRIBLE.
This may alter my future purchasing intensions

Worst Customer Service and online order system

Worst Customer Service and online order management system. Placed an order online and it got processed. Been a week and followed up with them to check for the shipment and was told that the order was cancelled as product is sold out. This was ridiculous as the order went through, credit card was charged, no email sent for cancellation, no refund was processed. Customer service was pathetic and never acknowledged the problem and how to provide a solution to get another mower without losing the customer. There was a terrible long wait time and crappy response from the customer service agents and their supervisors. Wouldnt even think about this product any more.

Terrible parts management and customer service

I went to the greenworks website to order a replacement part for my trimmer. The website wouldn't recognize the model number and the AI assistant wouldnt reccomend a replacement part. I ordered the universal part and it did not fit. Contacting greenworks gave me nothing but frustration. I was told I could return the part but needed to pay more in shipping than the part was worth to return it. I asked how to identify the needed part, and they just told me they don't have it. Order from someone else. Message received. Never again will this company get my money.

Poor Support & Short Lifespan

Very disappointed with Greenworkers. I bought the GRV-1010 about 3 years ago and it suddenly stopped working and says “Charging” but won’t stay on the dock, and none of the buttons respond.
Customer support was no help. I followed all their instructions, but they just told me it’s out of warranty (only 1 year) and offered zero troubleshooting after that. They also couldn’t even find my order from their own website.
It seems the battery is only designed to last 2–3 years, which is frustrating given the short warranty. Poor support and disappointing product lifespan. Would not recommend.

Chainsaw missing parts

Received a chainsaw that had no battery or charger (it was supposed to come with the saw) they wouldn't do an exchange. I had to return and buy a new saw. They wouldn't honor the original price. Horrible customer service

Cheap Plastic transmission with no grease, guaranteed to break

Spent maybe $2,000 on a complete 80 volt residential Lawn Care System. The batteries are are good but the lawn mower is made like crap. They use plastic gears with almost no grease so the gears especially the drive gears the one that turns your wheels literally eat itself up. I could understand the plastic gears but why do you put so little Grease on them. Greenworks is owned by the Chinese in Changzhou, China, founded by Yin Chen, Globe Tools Group, Cramer, Powerworks, they also make for Kobolt. I have the 25 inch 80 volt lawn self propelled lawn mower. There are many reviews with the same problem. Good luck finding parts for any green work tool aftermarket support is the worst. Save yourself the headache and save yourself some money reputable brand like Ego, more expensive up front but you will not have expensive repair costs in the future. Their drive system is much better and they use metal gears where it counts.

Tried to order a 14inch chain bar on Amazon from Greenworks but Greenworks blocked my address from receiving this at my address. Amazon has delivered here about 35 times in the past 7 months. No Greenworks forced me to buy and ship from them. After discovering I ordered the wrong size I looked at the return. Of the $42 dollars I spent including shipping charges I would receive 12 dollars. Shipping would be $9, so I en up with 3. If it had been through Amazon I would have $0 cost and a full refund which Greenworks is able to avoid. Oh it came by snail mail USPS. Took two weeks.

Greenworks Pressure Washer

Aug. 5, 2024 purchased the Greenworks GPW3000 Pro Series Pressure Washer at Lowe's for $436.41. It worked well all summer 2024 & 2025. Winterized it both winters according to greenworks manual.
First time to use it this spring, April 2026, the pump started rattling and would loose pressure and then shut down completely. Troubled shoot water source and power source (same sources ive used for 2 seasons). Everything checked out. Called Greenworks on warranty on how to get it repaired. Spoke to two different women. They each wanted me to walk through a "5 minute tech check". When I asked them "who is going to walk me through the check", I was ignored at first. Finally, the first lady told me she was. I asked her if she was a technician to which she ignored. So I explained that I have rebuilt these tri-plex pumps and do not want to mess with this one or it will void my warranty. I explained I could hear the something in the pump rattling. She explained that she still had to do this check. I asked her to just tell me what she was going to have me do because I was not sitting at my pump and I can tell her if I had already performed those checks. She refused to tell me the steps she had to walk me through. So I explained what checks I had done. I told her I had already checked my water source; I checked for an air-lock by priming the pump according to the manual and checked the outlet voltage and amperage. She was adamant that she could not help me "unless you step through the tech check list with the machine with her on the phone". She explained that was their "policy". I told her no where in the warranty does it say that an unqualified person will step me through a tech check on the phone. She hung up on me and switched me to the Greenworks online feedback survey. I filled out their 5 questions. Called back and spoke to another assistant. I got the same results and same response. Same Greenworks survey. Two assistants hanging up on me because I refused to let them ignore me. They demanded that I wasn't listening to them and it was the other way around.
Warning: These assistants are NOT trained in technology. The simply follow a written skit. The second lady told me they do not repair their product, they replace them. I asked what do i need to do to my broken Greenworks pressure washer replaced. She stated again that i had to step through a tech check. I told her to let me talk to a technician then. She became argumentative when I was asking legitimate questions that she could not answer. She then accused me of not listening and being argumentative. Their assistants are trained to attempt to flip honest argument into accusing the customer of belligerent arguing. An argument is stating facts. That is what I did, and they have no script to legitimate factual argument.
Greenworks is a China built product.
I highly advise anyone who is looking for a good pressure washer to not fall for Greenworks price undercutting to just sell their product.
I will never purchase another Greenworks product. I said that about Ryobi years ago when I ran into this same thing with their products.
Good luck
Ken

Waste of money and time

I tried to be good to environment going with the Greenworks lawn mower. Waste of money and my time. Electric may be good for some things but definitely not the lawnmower. I start and the mower stops consistently to be cleaned out and because the electric battery does not hold a long charge. I will be purchasing a zero turn ride on lawn mower that runs on gas. I rather pay a little more to get the job done in a day not four days. I definitely do not recommend you purchase an electric lawnmower. You will definitely regret it, learn from my costly mistake. ..and forget customer service today. Customer Service in the year 2026 is as dead as my electric battery.

Defective Manufacturing--Zero QC

This review is of their 3000 psi corded electric pressure washer (GPW3001FCA). I ordered via Amazon. I could not assemble the product because the holes in the front panel did not align with the screw receptacles of the upper handle. Consequently, I had to return it. Very poor manufacturing QC. I wish I could post pictures.

Panicked when I read other reviews

I ordered a 48V 46cm mower last Friday lunchtime and it was delivered yesterday (Wednesday) lunchtime. The mower and other stuff I ordered arrived perfectly packed and all works perfectly. Unfortunately, just one working day after placing the order I read the Trustpilot reviews. As Greenworks is clearly an established company I didn't feel the need to read reviews before placing the order so should probably not have read them afterwards as the result was I panicked and emailed Greenworks to ask them to either confirm the delivery within 5 working days or cancel the order. I'm left, quite rightly, with egg on my face as everything was delivered within 3 working days. I owe their support department an apology for wasting their time. Great product and service.

I purchased a Greenworks 3000psi GPW3000 pressure washer that doesn't power on. A return/refund or exchange from the retailer where I got it isn't an option, so I contacted Greenworks by phone to ask them about their warranty. They said that they would not be able to exchange or repair it because of the place that I bought it from. Greenworks couldn't guarantee where it came from. But what I don't understand is, if the serial number is good and it's their machine, plus the warranty is still active, why wouldn't they stand behind their product?

Might Not Be Good For Northern Climes

My Greenworks Lawn mower works great for the 2 months I used it before winter began.
I had received information when I purchased it that the batteries needed to be charged every 3 months if not used. Since I live in northern Vermont, it only is used 6 months per year.
So, I charged the batteries at the end of February/beginning of March. One charged fine, showing 4 lights (charged) quickly. The second showed 4 lights quickly on the battery, but a light on the charger flashed red and then held on solid red. I called Customer Service (they were very nice and helpful) to report the issue.
According to the Service Rep I need to keep the batteries in my house - not my garage, which, since I'm in Vermont, falls far below freezing many times during the winter - and below freezing temperatures can affect the batteries.
I actually spoke with two Service Reps. The first said I should charge the batteries in above freezing temps. We were disconnected before we finished the conversation. The second Rep said to keep the batteries inside the house when it was freezing or below.
Now I have to find somewhere inside my house to store the batteries and charger. It's a small house so that will be a pain.

Do not buy, unreliable and poorly built

Greenworks PRO 80V 20-Inch Brushless Cordless Snow Blower Thrower

This product was great for the very short period that it actually worked.

Upon receipt the battery provided would not last more than 15 minutes on a full charge. The battery was replaced promptly (great customer service there) with a battery that would actually hold a charge and allow the unit to be used.

Here we are in mid February having had the unit for just over 2 months and used it about 10 times during this period.

Had a pretty big snowfall yesterday Februrary 18th in Ontario (GTA) 15cm. And guess what!

The unit will not turn on. Battery is fully charged and checked terminals with a meter (perfect). Unfortunately the switch (little safety button) that is depressed when pulling up the lever to start the snow blower does not engage properly. So the snow blower wont start.

Looking at the manual here is the best part. One of the top items on the list is "The switch is defective" this strongly suggests this is a common and known issue with these products.

Called for warranty and the unit has to go to an authorized service depot. Here is the best part. The nearest depot is over 50km away and only open during daytime hours. This is a 1 hour drive with no traffic (mid-day) taking time off work and have to hope for a repair at the same time or early morning or evening a 90 minute drive each way, plus waiting for the repair.

So no option to ship the product, no option for some advanced replacement. How a 50km range is "within region" is baffling to me.

Needless to say having to take an entire day off work and drive 110KM and hope for a same day repair or take a 2nd day off work is a non-starter.

So this snow blower will be tossed in the trash (unfortunate wasted investment) since I stand to lose more than it is worth getting it serviced and I guess I will buy something from a more reputable brand for next season.

In any case buyer beware. These are clearly known to fail and there is no proactive method of service such as shipping replacement parts for the defective components.

GreenWorks is a Poor business, I am out $186.00 on a new purchase.

I just ordered and recieved a l24v 8ah battery. Out of the box it would not take a charge. It eas extreamly discharged at 19 Volts with likely cell damage, reduced capacity and life expectancy from being in a discharged state for a lengthy period.
Research found they may be cleaning out old shelf stock sending me an old battery and the model is no longer offered. After sending 2 very polite emails and no response i find they blocked my email address and my emails are returned. Customer wont listen to my knowledge and concerns and wants me to buy a new charger, there is nothing wrong with my charger.
I AM OUT $186.00!
In my experience GeenWorks Tools is a SCAMY business with no customer or ethical standards. BBB and other websites like this are loaded complaints.
Buy somewhere else or take your chances with this shady and scam business.
