We can’t thank the Gordon’s team enough for all of their support in purchasing our first home, especially Katie and Clare! From the start they were incredibly responsive, making the house buying process incredibly stress free. Our offer was accepted just a few days before Christmas and thanks to the team, we completed within 8 weeks which is incredible! Would highly recommend their conveyancing team to anyone!

I know when it comes to solicitors in general the bar is low, but honestly this firm gives a whole new meaning to ‘useless’.



Gordons were tasked with completing my conveyancing. In all my years I have never seen such lazy work by even lazier people. They were unable to answer basic questions, 80% of what they sent me was simply forwarded emails with no explanations, and my completion statement was littered with errors.



The day AI takes these cretins out of a job cannot come soon enough, and when it does I will be amongst the first to rejoice.


very poor solicitor. The delays caused by Gordon's incompetence have cost me nearly £1000 in additional charges. Either side of my chain used gordons and both parties had serious frustrations. My buyer had to send of the same proof of funds documents four times! My seller was told that the document he sent them had never arrived (we don't believe this) as they only said this after he chased them up four weeks later.
Overall I would describe Gordon's as being a very poor communicator and abysmal from a documentation point of view. I will never be involved with or advising friends and family to use Gordon's again.

Justene and Ellie could not have been better. Supportive and professional through my first experience buying. Dealing with them was a delight, when you call, they answer. When I was looking for firms I was recommended Gordon’s by a friend and I would now recommend them to friends and family in the future.

After a stressful experience with another solicitors firm, my files were transferred over to Gordons. I was a little shocked by the low score and poor reviews as they are the polar opposite of our experiences. We used Ingrid at Gordons LLP to purchase a new build and she was fantastic. Communication was great and every element of the legal side of the purchase was completed in the specified 42 day deadline without error or delay. We were so impressed with Ingrid's service we used her when we sold our rental property. There were a number of unforseen issues raised by the buyer's conveyancer but Ingrid navigated these with great skill and her expertise greatly reduced my stress levels. Buying or selling a property is likely the largest transaction most people will ever make. I've sold three houses and purchased four and Ingrid made the last two transactions so much easier. The trust we put in her twice was hard earned and she showed us how property transactions should be carried out having recently gone through the most stressful sale ever because of the incompetence of Strike's Premier Property Lawyers

Abysmal, communication poor throughout staff on holiday with nobody to cover. Made a mistake on the final bill and then made up an excuse as to why it had changed (when in reality it was a simple admin error) and then never apologised when called out on it. Instead sent a dismissive response. Would avoid if at all possible.

I had an accident in morrisons dover store some 16 months ago (suspected fractured spine) which they pretty quickly admitted liability for, their insurers however are a different bunch, having supplied them with everything they asked for and repeatedly emailing for updates it's been X3 months at least since I heard anything back and we appear to be no further forward..... Morrisons must be laughing, my family and I however are not.

I pity anyone who is unfortunate enough to have to deal with this company.
They will just sit on your case forever.
They even said to me they would only admit liability depending on how much I was claiming!! Really!!
10 months later still no progress.

From start to finish I had a positive experience with this company. They were transparent on fees and what needed to be signed. They effectively add new clauses to my documents and issued them in a professional manner.

This company have made our recent house purchase a real chore. They are hard work to deal with and have a bad all round attitude. Suggest you avoid at all costs. Nightmare.
