Joshua at the York store was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He introduced a tent I hadn’t previously considered which turned out to be better made and more suitable. Excellent customer service.

Unfortunately we don’t know the name of the lady that served us at the york store but we have had such good service from her . She was so helpful and kind helping us set up the Klarna app and in general just going above and beyond . You are an absolute asset to the store Thankyou so much for your help .

Poor all round

A first visit to Go Outdoors Vangarde York. Wow what a shop I think they offer everything. We went to look at a shelter to go with our camping setup. I think we were in there an hour before looking at shelters and had to swap our basket for a trolley. Every interaction was positive, great customer service and knowledge. A big shout out to the staff on the tills for their advice and help... Josh, Erin and Izzy a great example of patience and outstanding customer service ...thank you

Great product, staff very helpful when I went to click and collect. However, the confirmation email said I would be contacted when my sleeping bag was in store, but I didn't get any kind of message.

Morgan and Erin were super helpful and friendly when we had came to the York store. They served us at the till, were very welcoming and gave us lots of advice when enquiring about Yeti coolers!!
All the staff that we spoke to in the shop about camping gear were excellent with their knowledge and took the time to help us and advise us. We will definitely be coming back to this store! Thanks guys! You’re amazing!

Had to return a dometic fridge that had a rare intermitent issue with the display. Exchanged was easy and fast josh and the rest of the team at York did a fantastic job as I had lost the reciept amd there system had changed,they managed to access the old system to access my reciept all without being asked. Great customer service

Part of my item was missing. Customer service cannot help as it was bought in store which is a 2hr round trip away. Store do not answer phone. My only option therefore is to spend 2 hrs returning to the store which is not in a location I would usually travel to.
Update - when I finally got through to the store they were really helpful & resolved my issue quickly.

The young man (little)Joshua who dealt with our enquiries at the Garmin counter in Go Outdoors was outstanding at his job, he knew his products extremely well, was polite and patient with us answering all our questions resulting in us buy two Garmin Watches.

Hubby couldn't find what he wanted in store, till we asked SUE and she not only took us to the Tilly hats, but explained alot of facts about them, helped him choose and got hubby to part with his money (which is not an easy thing). She was a breath of fresh air as far as in store service in concerned.

We visited GO Outdoors York Vanguard just before closing time to look at a tent, and the service we received was outstanding.

The staff were incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the tent in detail without making us feel rushed. Their knowledge and advice gave us the confidence to go ahead and buy it.

A special mention goes to Izzy on the tills, who kindly kept the store open for us while we completed our purchase. She was also fantastic with our kids, keeping them entertained while we sorted out a bank transfer. Nothing felt like too much trouble.

It's refreshing to come across people who genuinely care about providing great customer service. Izzy and the rest of the team are a real credit to GO Outdoors. Thank you for making our visit such a positive experience!

I booked a session on the mechanical horse. Carys who assisted me with the session was really patient with me as I hadn't been on a horse for over 15 years. She explained the procedure and answered all my questions brilliantly.

Very happy with the dog cool coat , it works well in the heat.
The click and collect experience was good and efficient.

Tall Alex at Vanguard was extremely helpful today.
Was looking for a particular product for camping and led me straight to the appropriate spot and made sure it was what I was looking for. Top marks.

I came in to the store first thing this morning carrying a sleepy toddler. A wonderful lady came up and asked if I needed help finding anything, she then led me straight to the camping chairs and helped me find the ones I needed and insisted on carrying them for me which was hugely appreciated! I just needed to be as quick as possible so she then took me to the till, I paid and then she even carried the 3 chairs to the car for me! So thank you Sue! You made my morning much easier. What a great lady.
