Today i went in knowing what i needed but didnt know what the best options where. Rob was a great helpful fella that was very knowledgeable and actually cared about what you bought and shared chemistry through beating, he gave suggestions and opinions and was overall good crack making the experience amazing. He deserves recognition!

Always have a great experience when I go into the store at the metrocentre, the staff are anlways friendly and want to help. Also the website is no different! Fast dispatch and quick delivery.

Needed new walking boot for my son but he was unable to come with me due to being at school. Rob was amazing at not only helping me with the boots and explaining the returns/exchange policy if I needed it, but I mentioned I’d need winter coats soon and he show me all the available coats as well as explaining the predicted timeline for the coat I wanted. Rob took care of me from the moment I entered the shoe section, he even carried the boots around the shop while we looked at the coats and walked with me to the tills, making me feel very welcome

Looking for a replacement boot as previous favourite discontinued. Izzie was great with alternative suggestions, helped with critical fitting and design essentials.
Dan was most helpful and cheerful at the checkout. All round great service 5⭐️.

from the moment we entered the store Katie asked if we were looking for anything specific she explains some products were available on line if we could not find what we wanted . we looked around store then i spoke to katie about the product she was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant she guided us through what the store offers and the membership scheme ultimately it was Katie’s interaction that sealed the purchase outstanding

Popped into the Metrocenter shop to get my youngest some hiking boots and with him being just outside of child sizes, the assistant, Andi B, helped us out with some unisex adult boots.

Provided information, and did a good job testing the boots for a good fit.

Outstanding customer service from Rob at GO Outdoors Metrocentre

I’ve shopped at outdoor stores across the UK and have spoken to plenty of staff about outdoor kit, but the level of knowledge and customer service I received from Rob at GO Outdoors Metrocentre genuinely stood out.

Rob is a young lad, but his knowledge of outdoor equipment is exceptional. I asked him about several different product lines, and he was able to have detailed, genuinely useful conversations about the pros and cons of different products, materials, construction and, most importantly, how they actually perform in real-world use.

What impressed me most was that he didn’t just recommend the most expensive option. He listened to what I was actually looking to use the gear for and explained things along the lines of, “If you’re using it for this, this and this, then I’d look at this option. If you want something different, here’s another option at a different price point.”

That is exactly what good customer service should look like.

There were plenty of distractions around us, the radio was going, and he was clearly busy, but none of that affected his attitude or focus. Despite me asking about multiple products and probably taking up far more of his time than I intended, I had his full attention from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble.

Outstanding knowledge. Outstanding attitude. Outstanding customer service.

Rob is a credit to the Metrocentre store and to GO Outdoors. This is exactly the sort of experience that keeps me coming back to GO Outdoors again and again.

James is the most professional and pleasant shop assistant I have had the pleasure to meet in the last few months. His knowledge and demeanour are outstanding.
If you are buying footwear there is no better place to go or staff member to help you.

Daniel was a great help to my son and I today with the multitude of questions we bombarded him with.
He was really friendly and polite as was the lovely woman (didnt catch her name...sorry) who we also chatted with, (her son had just started at school).
