The staff are all cheerful, friendly and helpful

I needed a new pair of walking boots to replace my previous pair. Was helped by Mike who helped me find the right pair fir my needs.

Had a good experience at the York road store today. Andre was very helpful and pleasant and helped us find everything we wanted. When we got the till to pay I realised I lost £70 pounds out of my back pocket.Andre found it and returned it. Thanks for your honesty, what a great guy to have on your team

I needed to upgrade my winter coat, ready for the change in season. I visited the store on Friday & lovely Lauren immediately came forward to see if she could help me.
She sought my budget & asked if there were any brands I already liked, then directed me to several that fitted my brief, encouraging me to try them on, asking relevant questions without pressure.
Once I decided, she suggested some care products, with instructions how to use them optimally, as she didn't pressure me I felt happy to add them to my basket.
She checked I already had the card, & checked whether I had any of the various memberships to enable me to benefit from further discounts.
Happy me!!

I had a planned visit on Wednesday, but had to reschedule until Friday and I’m glad I did, because Lauren on clothing was a massive help as I was looking for a lightweight waterproof jacket and with sooooo many to choose from I didn’t know where to start, Lauren asked all the right questions and I found a suitable jacket.

After the Click and Collect service twice cancelled my order even though plenty of stock was showing on their customer services system, I rang Go Outdoors Leeds and spoke to Amy, who confirmed they had one in stock and she would hold it for me. I drove over, tried the trousers on and they fit perfectly. She even honoured my online discount. Thanks, Amy.

Young chap on the counter always interested in where you are going fishing and what tackle you are using. He is always ready to offer a tip or two on the best tackle to buy.

Items on the website not in store. No one around in the shop to ask about items.

My husband and I regularly shop here as some time you just need to see the quality and try the sizes. We have always found the staff helpful but not pushy. Today I came with my inlaws to get new coats they are in their 80s. Lucy was wonderful with them , kind and helpful spending time to help.
I do however have a complaint about the car park. Two hours is not enough time to shop. We did not realise we had just gone over so getting a £100 fine in the post after spending £600 in the shop was a shock. Thankfully the store removing this fine because I had my receipt. But a system in store to put your registration in would be a better option than having to set a timer each time we shop. Thank you to the manager Laura for putting my mind at rest when I called about the fine.

You failed to acknowledge a single dumbell was delivered when you sell as a pair.
Nobody contacted me from submitting an online form about half delivery.
I had to ring to discuss and it was the store at York rd Leeds (they were awesome) that sorted it, but I am out of pocket, due to having to drive to store to return the single dumbell and travell to Pudsey store to purchase the replacement pair, all of which is caused by half delivery.

Great customer service and very polite and helpful

Jimmy was a great help full of knowledgeable advice. He knew what he was talking about and provided a great experience shopping at Go Outdoors. He was kind, personable and humorous; I will definitely revisit just for Jimmy. I hope he has a great time in South Korea.

Large store, lots of products to choose from, all at good prices. The staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. No sales pressure, just good advice and assistance. Thanks to Matt for patience and advice when I was trying the walking shoes.

Lewis was very helpful in assisting me to choose the most suitable hiking shoes for my awkward feet. The shop always has an excellent selection of walking and hiking boots.

Mike the guy in the shoe section knows his onions. I always go straight to him for a good natter on hiking etc. nice to see people still in retail with a bit of passion. One day all the shops will be gone and we can only buy from the internet.

Mike was super knowledgeable and friendly. Helped me pick out a great walking boot and gave me lots of practical tips. Thank you!
